Good morning everyone mommy loves sunflowers they make her think of sunshine and smiling faces and terrible the city tore the field down to make a parking lot. Can't wait Geordie to see mommy's big sunflower and Toby you have to walk with mommy without Geordie. Well hoping when the big manager of all senior centers will be able to tell us about the Old Fashioned Day since Theresa our manager was there and did not come back to work moving to Indiana to take care of her dad. The ladies who work at senior center yesterday said they did not know how Old Fashioned Day was or else they were not talking seems like things are hush hush until just before we left they announced Theresa wasn't coming back. I won the dominoes game. Daddy was up in the wheelchair almost finished with his breakfast. Today is Cards and BINGO Happy Tuesday everyone

Angels Hershey & Winkie that does sound like a fun day. Well, maybe not the billion stairs bit but the rest of it. Oh wait. Maybe not the bit where you don't get smelly meats either. What is up with that?!! I hope you at least got a really good snack after doing all those steps. We feel kind of the same way about state parks. I can go in some, but not others. This particular spot used to be a place where they allowed dogs off leash. Three sides had water. We had some great group dog walks there. And now you have to be on leash. Sigh. I don't know what is up with this state. Taking out pretty fields of flowers to make larger, unneeded parking lots ... taking out mature trees to make wider sidewalks. And I thought mom was bad about her priorities. Sheesh. UsurpingToby I had to laugh at your security Geordie comment. When mom was little she was as shy as you could get. Her little sister had a security blanket, but was really pretty brave. Mom didn't like to do things without her sister, so they always told mom she had a security sister instead of a security blanket. BOL. Cheeky sometimes feels that way about me, too. Especially if she is going somewhere in the car. If she is alone she figures she is going to the vet. Clarabelle we missed you, too, and are glad your mom is home and had a good time. Can't wait to hear more about it. DALLAS sounds like there was some confusion at the senior center yesterday. Hope they will have a new manager in place soon and things will be back on track. I'm sorry that Theresa's dad will need some help now. What a blessing for him that she is able to move and help out. We supervised mom for a while this morning. She was going through boxes and Finn and I made sure to check them out first, whether mom wanted us to or not. hehe. Then she worked on washing a lot of things that came out of the boxes and that was pretty boring. So we moved upstairs to hold down the bed. BOL

Pippi, what kinds of things came out of those boxes? Could you eat them? Did you eat them anyway?
Ha! I though I was the only one with a Security Sibling. I guess not.
Sabrina, maybe the senior center manager wanted to sneak out quietly without anyone making a fuss. Some folks don't like to feel emotional in public.
Mixed up but gorgeous... I think that describes a lot of our moms!

UsurpingToby the boxes had some kitchen things like plastic storage bowls and containers, utensils and some pans in them. Things that came from mom's grandma's house for one box. And some things that were taken out of the kitchen when all the work was done last year and we had to empty some cabinets. The box that came from mom's grandma's house looked like mice had gotten into it at some point. Some of the things went in the trash and some were scrubbed to within an inch of their life. hehe

Take care everyone.

It sounds like a lot of moms need sitting on. hehe. Keep thinking of all the goodies from the garden you will get to enjoy this winter with the work mom is doing now Buddy . You usually have a pretty big garden, don't you? I haven't seen Freddie Bear in the threads in a while. Hope he can stop in soon. Hmm. Wonder if his mom needs sitting on, too. hehe. Who else hasn't been by in a while?

Hello pals!! Oh Pippi, that is about the sunflower field! Your city needs to listen to its people, if you ask us. Dogs, too!! UsurpingToby, a security brother sounds like a good deal! Funny Pippi's mom had the same thing! Daisy & Josey, your mommy should take a picture of the whole thing! I bet it is pretty!! Buddy, how cool that your mommy has such a successful garden and makes so much stuff! DALLAS, sorry to hear about Teresa. Hope they can replace her soon!! Angels Hershey & Winkie your pawrents need to relax a little about giving you goodies! They are not as bad as the vets let on! Pippi, I think Freddie Bear has had trouble with posts disappearing! Well, mommy had a fantastic time on her trip. They drove up there on Thursday. She carpooled with two of her friends, and then two others drove themselves, so there were five of them all together, They took us a TON of food and some books and games. The first night, mommy and her friends got a pizza, but then they cooked meals the rest of the weekend. The weather was fantastic! They had the windows open the whole time. It rained a little on Saturday, but it never got cold, just nice. Mommy loved sitting on the porch reading and they played games Friday and Saturday. Here's a picture of mom "reading" on the porch.

Back, TheWildOnes!! We've missed you, but I'm glad your mommy had a fun time! She looks like my mommy when she reads!!
Sadly, my mommy is pretty sure limiting my people-food may have helped me get to my age feeling so good. She tells people I'm 13 going on 3! I should have tried begging harder when I was a puppy.
Pippi sometimes my mommy can spend hours and days and weeks doing boring house-y stuff when she could be scritching my ears. I just don't get it.

Good morning everyone Happy Wednesday I heard the center made $2100 for Old Fashioned Day no one knew anything about the quilt so mommy posted on Theresa facebook page she was sorry to see her leave and asked about the quilt. Well the Manager Diane over all senior centers jumped mommy yesterday saying she sent mommy several messages to delete the post on Theresa page as she has not let her staff no yet. Mommy said she never got any messages and if she knew it was to be kept quiet she would not have posted but when they made the announcement they did not say not to say anything and since no one here at the center knew about the quilt that is why I asked Theresa. She said they can tell me here at the center but Diane made calls to everyone to come and pick up what they won but still never told me what the quilt made and who won it she was pissed with me. I had asked Bergie who worked Saturday too she did not know or just being mean not wanting to tell me anything. We feel she knew about Theresa because when the announcement was made she did not blink an eye not a shock to her. So when Porche comes in on Thursday will see if she knows she worked Saturday. I lost both card games Bergie won both. Bergie and Rosemarie won at BINGO enough to pay for their cards they played but I did not win anything. Today Rosemarie and I are going to Florence to play BINGO then shop at Walmart nearby.

I'm sorry Mommy had such a crappy day, AJ. I hope today helps make up for it.
Hershey, I have wondered the same thing as you. How could all of those boring house things be more inresting than playing ball with me?

TheWildOnes the very tall sunflower with many heads has some dying ones on it and new ones, they just keep popping out!! DALLAS sounds like confusion . Sorry it happened. Pippi mommy likes to read outside on the kitchen porch when she is waiting for dad to get home from work. Most of the time outside/feral Fluffy is on her lap

DALLAS sounds like a lot of confusion there. TheWildOnes my mom has been known to "study" like that too, BOL! Mom was busy today making spiced crabapples! She's never had them and wanted to try them. Hope everyone had a pawsome day.

Hi everyone!! DALLAS, we are sorry Diane was so nasty! How was your mommy supposed to know it was a secret if they didn't tell her! THEIR fault, not hers! Hope she can find out about her quilt! Seems we all have more in common than just dogs, hee hee! And you are right, Pippi, what is up with our humans? Don't they know that petting us is a win-win situation??
