It seems to me the hoomans are all running around like lately. There is a lot of coming and going by my house, people with their arms full of rolled paper from the store across the street. They all must be planning to make big messes!
Daisy & Josey, I hope Coal and all the kidlets can keep up with their lessons. All the schools and libraries and evfurrything are closed here, too.
Our rain stopped, but it's furry cold outside and we have clouds-then-sun. I hope it stays dry. I'm going to see my groomer tomorrow. It would be nice to come and go with dry paws!

We heard news from Uncle today. He has a son in college. On Friday the school sent everyone home to do elearning. Then over the weekend they decided that, nah, no elearning. School is just cancelled. Uncle is livid because the family had to pay for a last minute flight. Now he is going to pay for another round trip flight to pick up his son's stuff. If the university had used better sense, kids could have shipped their property home or rented cars or whatever. Also, tuition was paid for education not received. Grrrr....went the Uncle.

Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday and Happy St. Patrick's Day Wild Ones glad the library still has you working just not open to the public mommy is worried she was suppose to go to her library Boone County this Friday and get her taxes done free by AARP and if libraries are closed her taxes won't get done and it was the last day that AARP was doing taxes. Mommy's dentist was open but once they filled mommy's 3 cavities they were closing shop because all other dentist offices were closed. Mommy said she was surprised when they called her Friday confirming the appointment when her friend got a call Friday cancelling his appointment for Monday. Willy thanks for the recipe for homemade flea tick prevention and even works for mosquitoes Pooks Molly we are sorry to hear that Coal is getting behind on his classes it is rough for special education children hope the teacher can help with a solution. Hershey mommy does miss visiting daddy Bill asked if I can call and talk to him on the phone I said No he doesn't talk on the phone just can call nursing station see how he is doing all they say he is doing fine eating all his food When I lived in Florida after we were hit with 4 hurricanes within a month every 2 weeks they sold tee shirts after saying I Survived and named all the hurricanes. I know after this big scare is over there will be places we can order shirts saying I survived the Cornovirus and shortage of toilet paper. I saw on facebook someone had earring of toilet paper mommy is thinking about getting them and having them to wear when this is over Everyone please stay safe from this virus

Yes, the mix is good for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes and can be used on dogs and humans, not sure about cats, some oils can be armful to cats.

Daisy & Josey, at our library we have something called "Brainfuse." It is free, online tutoring. There is help in all subjests, every day of the week. Maybe your library has it, too? UsurpingToby, that is just aggravating!! And uncaring!! DALLAS, we are so sorry that your mommy can't even talk to daddy on the phone. Mommy remembers after katrina seeing tee shirts that said "Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was gone." willy, mommy will definitely have to make some of that!! Angels Hershey & Winkie, you are right. Half the humans are panicking and the other half aren't taking it seriously enough!! We should be somewhere in between!! Pippi, how are things in your neck of the woods?

I have heard that schools teach math in such a complicated way to keep kids from cheating. However, now no one can understand it. Grrr...

TheWildOnes I'm not familiar with Winnie Ruth Judd. I'm guessing this is based on a true story? Afraid I don't watch the scary show. Seeing more things cancelled here, and more people opting to be careful. Probably not a bad idea. Mom and her sister were looking at a site earlier with world wide statistics on the virus. It sure would be nice if this thing could somehow die out as quickly as it started/spread. Not holding my breath, but it would be nice. willy ! That looks nice and easy. Mom will have to see about getting the oils, but she is ready to try it. If mom can remember she may ask the vet about the cats. They are indoor cats. So they don't need it the way mom and I do. Daisy & Josey oh how frustrating for Coal to already be behind and now this. I am just going to hope that this somehow turns out to be one of those blessings in disguise. I also hope either his teachers or the special ed teacher can help guide him through the school work. The comments about the math made me think of something with grandma. At one time she worked at JC Penney. She was trying to explain to mom and pawpaw one day how they figured their mark up on merchandise. It was unlike any math mom or pawpaw had ever heard of. Mom and pawpaw were good in math. Grandma, not as much. We have since referred to anything that doesn't seem to add up as "JC Penney math". Maybe they are teaching that in schools now. BOL Angels Hershey & Winkie I hope you managed to stay dry getting to and from the groomers today. UsurpingToby mom's nephew is in a similar situation college wise. They sent kids home the end of last week. Now today they tell them they have a few days to come clear their stuff out of the dorm - won't be back. Think they are doing online classes, but at one point they had said online for most but some might be in person (chem labs or whatever). They don't know yet how that will be handled. Nephew is very upset and discouraged partly about the money spent and feels he is not getting his money's worth. Will be interesting to see what money if any will be refunded and how things will go moving forward. Anyway, they are now going to have to scramble to go back and get his stuff. Niece is clearing her stuff out of her apartment today and tomorrow. Her spring break had been extended, but talk of online classes potentially the rest of the semester. She graduates the end of this semester and had been looking forward to walking up to get that diploma. What a mess for everyone. DALLAS I'm sorry you can't at least call and talk to daddy. Even if he couldn't respond, I'm sure he would have enjoyed hearing mommy's voice. I sure hope this situation will improve and life can start getting back to normal. Sadly, I'm afraid it may be a while though. We saw those toilet paper earrings, too, and thought they were funny. I guess it's good people have a sense of humor over a lot of this. Who would have ever thought we'd have so many conversations about toilet paper supply?!! BOL TheWildOnes you ask about Cheeky ... She is hanging in there. Allergy season has certainly started here. Cheeky has always had a little trouble in the spring, just like mom. It is difficult for mom to know how much is allergies with Cheeky and how much is a need to adjust the steroids, or even if switching food again could be a factor. First thing in the morning Cheeky sounds more congested, but often during the day sounds a little better. Mom is also starting to wonder about other issues with Cheeky. We had mentioned this to the vet before, but may need to bring it up again. Starting to see times between meals where Cheeky might be shaking a little. Food seems to help. So mom tries to make sure Cheeky gets a snack every few hours. It's hard when mom needs to be away from the house for an extended period of time though. What do you do then? All in all though Cheeky is hanging in there and doing fairly well. And me ... mom says I have outdone myself in stinkeriness today. Mom's sister and niece made a quick trip here from NC today. They were picking up a car from grandma and pawpaw, but picking it up at our house. I barked almost non-stop while they were here. And I didn't use my inside voice either. I've chased the cats off the bed a few times. I chased them out of the kitchen and kept them from getting to their food for a bit today as well. All in all a very satisfying day I would say. Tee hee hee.

Good morning everyone Happy Wednesday I tell you with everything cancelled and not going to certain places on certain days mommy getting confused on what day of the week it is. Wild Ones you are nice to tell about the online help at the library hoping Pooks Molly library as the same thing so they can help Coal Pooks Molly we understand you there about the new math they are teaching I saw Rosemarie grand granddaughter Sammy doing her math totally confusing I guess it would be as Toby mom said J C Penny math Wild Ones you cracked me up about the song I took my Chevy down to the Levee but the Levee was gone that was so funny Pippi you certainly are keeping busy Mommy just keeps going to Rosemarie playing their games then comes home to feed me and the evening spent with me. Mommy sister is coming from New Jersey leaving today but visiting her brother first in Centerville Oh so when mommy gets home from Rosemarie today she has to clean this house before her sister comes set aside the knitting. Yesterday while mommy was playing games at Rosemarie her daughter in law Lisa called asked if mommy made corned beef and cabbage mommy said no she did not want to be eating it all week so she invited mommy to dinner they were having corned beef and cabbage would send a dish home with mommy so mommy went but the dish she sent home she took to Rosemarie as it was still warm and Rosemarie said bring her a dish she loves corned beef and cabbage so mommy did so. Also Lisa sent her home with a bag of meatballs as mommy could not find hamburger at Kroger's to have with her spaghetti she is making for her sister when she arrives.

TheWildOnes we don't know what the library has for helping. None of us have been their in years. With the internet thats how we find things out. But the Spacial Ed teacher, Coal and Tracy(Coals) mom had a phone conference yesterday late afternoon. She said she will help all her kids online and have more conferences to. Since no school for 4 more weeks here, the schools are having 2 meals a day delivered to any age school child. They will get a breakfast and lunch at the same time in paper bags delivered to their house!! For the next 2 weeks. Then the schools have Spring?Easter break for a week. So all 3 grandsons will still get the meals from school they were getting. The all qualified for free breakfast and lunches. Thank goodness.
