Mom is torn between leaving the pumpkins out for decorations and cooking them for me. I say “Me! Me! Me!”

Grumpily Murphy concedes he could probably share the pumpkins. Harrumph.
Mom usually just preps the pumpkins for freezing. She puts them in the oven at 300’ for an hour. The instructions don't say to do this, but she turns the oven off and leaves the pumpkins in there till it cools. They kind of get soft and shrink inside their rinds when you heat them up. Once they are cool, she slices them, peels the rind off and scrapes out the seeds. Afterwards she might cube the meat and freeze it for us pups. If it is for a human pie, she’ll puree it.
Dallas, you don’t know how jealous we are of your rain!

Dedicated or cheap? Mine is cheap! 😆
This is the first time we’ve grown little pumpkins. Each one seems to last a week or more. At that rate, we’ve grown nearly a year of Murphy treats.
Today I went with mommy to the garden to pick strawberries. Mom couldn’t get over the big grin I had on my face or how much my tail wagged while I was outside investigating. Such a difference from when I first came to my new home!

Yes, Dallas, once it is in purée she does put the pumpkin into ice cubes trays and when they have frozen in little cubes she does put those cubes in big freezer bags. Everyday me gets some with me breakfast.
