Daisy & Josey less humid air sounds nice! Think we are just a tad warmer than you - in the low 90s today and tomorrow. Tango that is like Inky and to a lesser extent Nimbus - a touch of white at chest and tummy. Milo Blue Eyes those sound like good choices for mom when she gets her new teeth. Hope it won't be long now! Tango, 118?!!!! OMD I'm sure you will all spontaneously combust. You'll burn your feet going out to potty. Mommy's steering wheel will melt. I'm sure you can cook outside on the sidewalk. Yike! Um DALLAS I think if you are visiting Tango it might be safer to do it in January. hehe. Your 84 sounds better than my 90s. And way better than Tango's 118! Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) I hope your mom is able to get some good rest and feels better soon. I also hope she is able to figure out any foods that might be contributing. That is half the battle. The other half is resisting the temptation to eat them anyway. hehe Daisy & Josey I love that picture of you and Itsumo. You two are precious and look like you are best buds. Good afternoon everyone!! DALLAS Tango had a very good appetite up until the dementia got to him. Mommy said, though, as long as he ate something, they were going to make sure he was comfortable. He had been really chubby, but lost weight and was looking good. Once he had a seizure, though, mommy couldn't let him suffer anymore. Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) , we are so sorry to hear mommy is having more trouble with her knees. Glad she was off this weekend and hope they improve soonest! Daisy & Josey , we LOVE that picture of you and Itsumo! Did you tell mommy that "He's touching me!" Hee hee! Lady & Blaze , we are SO happy to see you here!!! Pippi , almost ANYTHING is better than 118! Our highest ever was 121 or 122. But we are still here... Milo Blue Eyes , I'm first!! Thank you so much for all this lovely food! I will start with the chicken fried steak and eggs and a Danish!! Hope your weather dopes cool down a little! |

Everyone- Well it's Monday. It's time for another long week of Mommy having to try to work with all of this pain. She's so sick of all of these health problems. She tells herself that there are people alot younger in much worse shape. There are also people alot older who are in much better shape though too. That doesn't make her feel too good. She worries about the future. She doesn't have a husband, children, siblings or anyone who can help in the future. Who knows how bad things might get & who will help then?

Milo Blue Eyes we are low 90s today, but I think tomorrow is mid 80s. Not as much of a break as we would like, but we will take it! Charly did mom's steering wheel melt when it hit 122? hehe I just can't imagine! And  for Tango and what his health became. You were kind to think of his needs and quality of life and not to let him suffer. DALLAS does your house seem quiet after Chloe went home? Do you and Dallas miss her? Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) my mom can relate to your mom wondering sometimes about who to look to for help in the future. Grandma and pawpaw live close now, but they won't always be here. But hopefully there will be good friends and neighbors. We will need a DALLAS living near by who will take pity and help us. I hope we will be so lucky. And if not, luckily there are options like assisted living where help is on hand if needed. willy do you and Teddy ever snuggle up together? I hear ya Daisy & Josey . I will let the cat sleep with me sometimes. I wouldn't mind if Cheeky snuggled up with me, but she usually won't. I guess all those years ago when we were young I should have stood next to her and then sat on her all the time. BOL! Milo, as always thanks for all the yummy food!

DALLAS thank you for understanding. We know true pet lovers understand how hard it is, but it is the kindest thing! Twinkle (My Sweet Angel), we are so sorry about your mommy's pain and we totally understand about her fears for the future! Mommy thinks her one niece would take her in if she ever got desperate! willy, hey! I thought dogs were color blind!! Did mommy tell you to say that? Daisy & Josey, you know, I am the most loving, friendly cat mommy has ever known, but do the dogs around here appreciate me? Heck no! Pippi, on June 26, 1990, our temperature reached 122. Mommy was 29 but doesn't remember anything melting. She does remember coming home from Vegas one time and going inside to bed without unpacking the car and waking up to all her cassette tapes all melted! Milo Blue Eyes today I will go for the key lime pie! YUM!! Glad your weather cooled off a bit. Lady & Blaze mommy doesn't get any email notifications at all. She just tries to make it in here every day! Hope you come back!

Pippi the thing about Assisted Living cost so much for a single person to afford when they came to talk in our senior center very expensive. I hope I die quickly and don't have to go to a nursing home like Ward they are so nasty and dirty and people not friendly at all. Mommy hated for daddy being in there but she was unable to care for him and not a lot of money for people to come to the house and care for him. I cared for him at home 6 out of the 7 years. He was in that nursing home for a little over a year. We don't miss Chloe one bit
Pooks I don't blame you for not minding Itsumo being next to you as long as he doesn't crowd you
Willy so glad you got ot participate in agility
Twinkle mommy needs just to worry about the present and not dwell on the future it puts too much stress on one to worry about things
Charley mommy knows her nephew would take her in if she got bad but doesn't want to put that responsibility on them. It is not easy taking care of a sick elderly person. She tries to live her life now while she is healthy and not worry about tomorrow

Yes we are supposed to get snow this Thursday and Friday. It has to happen sometime. Another day of sprinkles maybe for the day. Take care and remember you are vey loved
