Looks like playing catch up is going to be my norm this month. Charly I'm glad you remembered some cake for Alexandria. I forgot the other day. Some days I don't know if I'm coming or going lately. A group trip would be a lot of fun. Mom has so many places she would like to go, but Scotland is way near the top of the list. DALLAS our car is old school, too. It's a 2002. No hooking the phone into the speakers and such and no USB ports. Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) I don't think I have ever seen an Anna's Linens. We used to have a Tuesday Morning, but that closed last year. willy oh that is very interesting about the French sounding different there and in France. I never would have guessed that. That reminds mom about a trip to Nova Scotia where she and a friend stopped and heard a program about Celtic music and how the music from Nova Scotia was probably a more pure Celtic sound than that coming from Scotland and Ireland and such because it was more isolated and would have had less influence from other countries. Thought that was interesting, too. Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) my mom used to know the alphabet in sign language but not much else. That would be neat if your mom could learn it. Oh boy look at all the good food I have missed. I may have to have 2nds and 3rds again to catch up. Yum! Thanks to all who are keeping us fed!!

Good afternoon everyone! Milo Blue Eyes, that looks SO DARN yummy!!! Thank you! We got some more rain last night. We have had more this monsoon than the last two combined, which we called NONsoons!! LOVED the cartoons! willy, mommy thinks the study of language is fascinating! Bi differences in American English versus Great Britain English, as well. DALLAS that you so much for all the meat! Can't go wrong with that! Pippi, we are just happy when you can make it in and totally understand when you can't! I had a dental yesterday. It was quite expensive, but they didn't have to pull any teeth. The vet said there was one a little loose, but she didn't want to pull it because then she would have had to pull them all/ What does that even mean? I'm doing well, though!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Charly sorry you had a dental yesterday but great no teeth needed pulling Pippi we do miss you but understand not being able to get here. My car reminds mommy of riding an old fashioned bike where you push on pedals for braking no hand brakes or fancy speeds Twinkle never heard of Annie's Linen but had Tuesday Morning in Florida not sure here about Kentucky. That would be cool for your mommy to learn sign language my mommy never did learn that. Everyone load up on some food

*Willy run to serve his furiends before sitting with a big plate next to Pippi* That is right Pippi, and not only in Nova Scotia, traditional Canadian music as a very big Celtic, Irish and Scottish influence in it. Do you remember some years ago the Lord of the Dance thing with all the tap dance and the violins ? That is a lot like the traditional music here.
Charly, the English here in Canada is a lot closer to the British English in general.

Charly my mom thinks languages are interesting, too. Me, I'm just trying to get the cats to understand dog better. hehe Such as you have the spot I want on the bed and I think you should move because it's mine. Mine. Mine. Mine! Hmm. That is an odd comment about having to pull them all if they pull one. I'm glad they didn't have to pull any this time. Maybe when one is missing that makes the others more likely to shift and get loose. DALLAS I meant to comment yesterday on the meat, but my secretary is doing a terrible job lately. When mom's nephew was younger he was a BIG meat eater. His idea meal would have been meat, with meat sauce and a side of meat, followed by some meat. Funny to think he is now a vegetarian. That is the kind of bike mom has. She doesn't use it much. Sometimes she wishes we lived some place very flat. willy we are familiar with Lord of the Dance and love that kind of music. Mom would have a hard time picking just one style of music to listen to, but if she could only have one it would be Celtic. Mom and her friend had gone to the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre (I think that was the name) in Cape Breton. The man that was doing the talk and demonstration was great. Mom was impressed that he could fiddle AND tap his feet/dance while sitting at the same time. It was like full tap dancing with his feet at the same time he was doing some lively tunes on the fiddle. Impressive. Tori thanks for more yummy food. You and Milo keep us well fed!

Milo Blue Eyes that was a good idea to go look for youtube videos. Hmm. Mom would have to think about what year she went, but thinking it was earlier than 2012. Maybe more like 2005, but not sure. My mom like a big variety of music, too. She would hate to have to pick just one style. She would agree - not big on rap. She's not really into heavy metal or punk either. She can take some opera and can appreciate the talent it takes to sing it, but most of the time she picks another genre. Toffee that is neat the travels your parents have done. Also that they have seen Lord of the Dance in person. Lucky parents. DALLAS your mom is lucky with her travels, too. I hope it won't be too long before her and her sister can go to Scotland. Gosh it would be nice to think of this virus going away or getting very much more under control. Milo Blue Eyes mom's parents have been to Scotland and to see the castle from grandma's side of the family. And now for this yummy food! Gosh, which end to start at? May I have some heaping portions of everything please and thank you. It all looks good and I'm hungry.

Good morning everyone Happy Sunday Pooks glad to see you here for more food Milo Blue Eyes thank you for all the delicious food and drinks mommy had a root float for lunch yesterday it was delicious Pippi yes it would be great for the virus to end or just to get a good control over it. We are back to wearing mask at the Senior Center however not too many people are coming they said they got vaccinated and now that the senior center said have to wear mask they have trouble breathing with mask on so said they will come back when they say we no longer have to wear mask. I agree it is hard to breath they allowed the dance exercise to do without mask as they stood 6 feet apart so I got up from our bingo table went to another one so I would be 6 feet apart and took off my mask there were only a few playing Bingo so we could move around a table to each since they are 6 foot tables.

Pippi, me did find an example of French-Canadian traditional music to show you.
Me know you will not understand the words but you'll get an idea!
