We are rise with the sun in me house so at 9 pm the humans are ready for bed

Uh oh Toffee on the bone you picked up the other day. My mom doesn't like us picking up things either. Dakota and Willow are more likely to pick up candy and things that kids have dropped, but mom worries it could be sugar free and not good for us. Or worse, that some sick person is trying to poison animals. Bones are pretty tempting though. A couple of years back Dakota found some deer bones in the woods. She picked up a piece and carried it back and forth through the woods for days. Eventually something else got it and took it off.

DALLAS not that is my kind of pancake turkey breakfast. A nice portion of sausage and bacon and some tater tots and pancake. Yum! Thank you for that. I know I've said it before, but I just love fun, themed foods.

Yikes on the acorn and needing surgery. Dakota and Willow will munch up acorns once in a while, but they tend to break them and spit them out.

Daisy & Josey Dakota and Willow walked around the duck pond the other day. Boy was there a plethora of goose poop and both of them were trying to snatch some up. Mom felt like she was trying to maneuver through a mine field.

Milo Blue Eyes Nimbus is probably happy being fat, but mom has to pick him up too much AND he keeps trying to sleep on top of mom. She said he probably weighs 17 lbs or more now. So she said he has to lose some weigyht - she can't take it. Plus she worries about his health.

Your weather has been cooler. We are getting down in the 30s the next night or two I think. And tomorrow, or maybe the next day, our high will be in the 40s. I suspect that won't last long and we'll be back up in the 60s and 70s. We have all been loving our days in the 60s.

Milo, you know me. I'm going to start at one end of the food and work my way down to the other trying a little bit of everything. Loving this. I'm going to be stuffed long before Thanksgiving, thank you very much. hehe.

Toffee I'm glad daddy does most of your walks so you won't have to wear a muzzle. Also because I'm just glad you daddy is doing better and out and about. A nice bonus.

Milo Blue Eyes I sure hate to hear they have had to take down some big trees. My mom hates that, too. They recently came through our yard trimming for the power lines and mom is not happy for so many reasons. Two though ... she was told the Redbuds could stay, but they took out two redbuds to get to a Hackberry stump. Yes, to get to a stump. Mom wanted them to leave the stump - helped block the neighbors, but they said they could not leave it taller than 4 feet (even though they left it the last two times they trimmed - and I should mention is was below the lines). So they took it down to 4 feet and LEFT ALL the huge pieces of large tree trunk. They don't clean those up. The homeowner has to. They are bigger around than mom and there is no way she can move those. She is so not happy. But I better change the subject before I write 30 more pages. Grrr.

Oh and I see leftovers from Taco Tuesday. Woo-hoo!

Milo, you had asked how I am doing. My back, right left is the one with the torn ACL. Mom is using things to help hold up my back end so I can still move around some, and I am putting that leg down now. At least letting my toes touch, but almost from the start I have stopped doing anything useful with my back, left leg. Both back feet I am knuckling under some. My left one I just seem to slide forward and not use. I was a little wobbly before the torn ACL and mom wonders if my right one was doing most of the work before. The vet had said to give things a week or two and see. It's been a week now. We'll give it a little longer and hope both legs improve. Mom says she really needs me to be able to stand to make it easier to change my diapers!! One of mom's friends has asked if maybe I need wheels now. That may be a question for the vet next week if there hasn't been more improvement. Mom's not sure though. I'm not that active these days anyway. Mom thinks there would be an awful lot of getting me in and out of my wheels because I probably wouldn't want to be mobile for long before wanting to nap again. But with any luck I'll improve and not need the wheels. Time will tell.

I know it's a shame about having to chop old trees down, but n some cases necessary - like if roots interfere with plumbing or they might tumble on to something. So far we have trees on the little hill before are apartment building and the parking lot above it. That will probably stay that way until the owners pass away. But for now, we're happy.

Way before us girls we had a Tulip Tree and it got struck by lightening and had to be cut down. Mommy said that was .
