Good evening everyone!
Leslie, I've probably read all of your books at least three times! Dream our world though, is just super special!
Dee, I'm the same way. Just don't want to rock the boat. I sometimes have to tell myself that if l want the friendship, l just have to accept certain things.
Laura, I'm surprised you have the honeysuckle at all if you're allergic! And I'm with you on the walking. I'm trying to get Chuck to walk with me but he won't. I should leash train Clarabelle!

Hmm, what kinds of dogs love the heat? Whatever it is, you should get one, Lisa. Then you would have a perfect walking buddy.
Laura, you can keep planting bean seeds for several months. Planting in a pot is a good idea. I was going to suggest it if you hadn’t tried it. Another thing you can do is make a tent of deer netting or something like it above the pot. It would keep chipmunks and the like out while allowing bumblebees in. (They like beans.)
I’ve been promoting DOW locally, knocking on many doors. From what I’ve heard Beatrix Potter had to do the same thing with her books. (It’s hard to believe they weren’t wanted at first!)
Dee, I am non-confrontational also, so you have my sympathies. I look forward to August and you being further away from these ladies!

Lisa, at times I think about getting rid of all the honeysuckle, but I don't for a few reasons. 1. The thought of handling that much of it to get rid of all of it. 2. It provides some privacy. The houses here are really closer together than I would like. I have a covered side porch, and without the honeysuckle I would be looking straight in my neighbors windows if I sat out there. I'd rather look at plants. 3. It does smell nice and the bees like it. Leslie, right now the potted green beans are on my sunporch. So nothing buy cats are likely to get to it at the moment. I thought I would let things get bigger before I tried to move it outside. Hope you are having some good luck knocking on doors. I'm with you, hard to believe Beatrix Potter wasn't liked right away. I hope you will have as much success as she did! Dee, have you or anyone else tried curb side pick up at Wal-Mart or anywhere else? I haven't, but keep thinking it would be nice not to have to go in and find everything. I finally ordered a heart beat thing for Pippi. It should be here Tuesday. They make stuffies you can put them in, but I picked up a small, inexpensive pillow (12x16) and made a cover for it yesterday and will try it in that. Pippi has done a little napping starting out partway on the pillow, but tends to slowly slide off as she naps. I will be curious to see what she thinks one I add the heart beat. The other thing I ordered was a silicone dot mat. Don't know if you have seen them before. New to me. You can use them to bake on and the raised dots let fat and such drip off the food rather than sit in it. Or you can flip it over and people are making small dog treats with them. That is what I got it for. I've seen recipes where people are doing things like canned salmon, broccoli and whatever else. Put it in a blender with some flower, egg and if needed water and puree to make a pancake like consistency. Pour in the little dots and bake. Then you get a bunch of little treats and you know what when in them. Depending on how long you bake them you can have soft or crunchy treats. It all sounds easy. We'll see. I'm sure Pippi and Cheeky will be happy to sample things as I experiment. hehe. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hi everyone. It looks like it's been a while since I posted in this thread. I finally posted about my issues at the Malt Shop. Sometimes I feel better than other times. Some days are much better than others. Even in the course of one day the way I feel can really go up & down.
I am tired. I didn't get any sleep last night. I have been trying to keep up with everything & everyone, but it's just too hard for me right now. I will be going to bed soon, I hope.

Good afternoon everyone!
Leslie, l have the breed of dog that likes the heat! Chihuahua originally from Mexico! Good luck with the book! I just decided l am going to give it as a Christmas present! Hoping the exposure will help!
Dee i think we are both pushovers! As long as you are happy, that is what's important! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Clarabelle! I ordered her a Gumby from Chewy.
Oh, that makes sense Laura! I agree, houses in the city are too close together. I wish I had thought to get a heartbeat for Tango, especially once he quit sleeping in the bed. Let us know how the treats work out! I bet the cats will like then too!
Ginger, l sure hope they can duo something for your knee. Don't be too afraid of surgery though. It helped me a lot! Different issue, but still.

Ginger, a good night sleep can help a lot. I don't sleep as well as I used to. Wish I did. As for your knee I hope there will be some good options now that you know what is going on. Lisa, I know Nimbus will be happy with treats. When he hears me getting them out for the dogs he comes running wanting some, too. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good morning everyone Happy Monday just started raining here in Walton Ky Laura I used to do curbside pickup when I had Ward had home so I wouldn't have to take him in to the store but not crazy over it as most of the time they did not have the items i liked and if I forgot to mention do not substitute they would substitute something I did not like. I had to make notes for them to give me bananas without brown spots and feel the bread I want fresh bread otherwise I would get bananas already mostly all dark and dry bread. Also bad thing is had to shop on hours they had open to pick it up nowadays it may be different. Haven't tried it on Walmart. So nice you got the heart beat ordered will put it in the pillow. No I have never heard of Silicone dots Leslie you may be right with dogs for right temperatures I am worried about Dallas going to Florida gets pretty hard will probably have to shave her pretty close with all her fur she pants around here.\ Ginger it is very rough when you don't get enough rest as you need so much sleep a night. I was so tired from not getting sleep the other night I went to bed right after Love Boat at 6:30 pm and still daylight outside woke up at 3 am. I hope you can get some relief from your pain Lisa is a gumby a toy you got from Chewy. I need to order some more water additives to help keep placque and bacteria from their mouth so I don't have to have big dentist bills. Hope everyone has a great Monday Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Dee, part of me wants to try curb side pick up and part of me is reluctant to. Where I shop any more there are soooooo many dented cans. I try to check them carefully and not get any of those. I'm afraid someone else might not be as careful. And fresh meat and fruit and veggies ... I'm afraid someone else will just pick up the first one and not look for a good one or maybe one with a best by date further out, etc. For all I know someone else would do just as good a job (or better) as I would, but I'm afraid to find out. The silicone dot mat is new to me. Here is a picture to show what I am talking about ... even shows treats ... And I've seen them in fun shapes like dog bones and fish, but I thought the dots mat would be easier to clean than the little bones and fish. You can get them in different sized dots, too, to make bigger or smaller treats. Dee, ask your vet about Dallas and shaving her when you get to FL. Some dogs their fur actually helps keep them cool and protected from the sun as crazy as that sounds. Anick, for me the first shot was worse. I had a more symptoms with the first and they were more severe. The second wasn't nearly as bad. I hope you will find the same. I had been dreading the second because of how I had felt with the first ... TIRED, all my joints ached, muscles ached, chills, headache, soreness at site of shot, swelling around one eye. The second shot I had a little soreness near the site of the shot that wasn't anywhere near as bad as the first, and some tiredness, but none of the rest of the symptoms. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and NImbus)

Laura, those are very cool and looks like they will make a lot!! Perfect for training, I bet!
Dee, I once shaved my dogs and then they got a sunburn. So good idea to ask the vet, like laura said.
Anick, I hope your second isn't worse! I think my first was a little worse, but not much. Maybe the arm was more sore from the first one, and I was a little more tired on the second. Definitely worth it!
Leslie, ha ha! I don't think they come in that size!!

Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday Laura thanks for the advice on asking the vet before shaving Dallas down right now I have them cut her pretty close without shaving her. Thanks for the picture on the silicone mats and you are correct the dots look better and easier to clean Lisa thanks for the advice I will listen to Laura before I move about Dallas fur. I don't want her getting sunburn though we won't be standing out in the hot sun long as I burn to easy even with sun lotion on Anick sorry you had a reaction to your second shot mommy felt tired from her second and no reaction from her first. Yesterday mommy was ready to get in this group when her power went out and shut the computer down so she figured better stay off the computer as it was storming outside. But she saw Rosemarie posted on her picture post that she would see me at 9 but mommy replied back to her Sorry staying home in this rain good day to sleep in and catch up on my rest. She never replied. I guess I will hear how stupid I was to stay home because of the rain I went back to bed at 9 woke up at 12 when a scam call woke me up then I crocheted till time to feed the girls. I finished the booties and pink bonnet. This week have to start cleaning the house for my nephew visit. I go Monday to my eye doctor will see if they plan on proceeding with cataract removal or if holding off for awhile Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

A friend is using those silicone mats a lot and she likes them, I have not tried them yet.
My second dose will only be in September so I think I have time to forget how bad the first one was.

Lisa, I think we saw one dot mat that would make something like 400 treats. I ordered one that will make something 200 I think. And frankly I am hoping I can make smaller batches. These treats don't have the preservatives so they won't keep as long. But I like the small size. They should be good for training, using in puzzles when they play with those, the snuffle mat and treats for just being cute. hehe. I think I have read/heard before that some dog's coats look hot, but somehow it helps keep dogs cooler. I've got short haired dogs so I really don't know. Dee, how precious the cap and booties are. Cute! Some little girl is going to be adorable in them. I'm like you. I burn pretty quickly, even with sun screen. If Di and Rosemarie say it was stupid for you to stay home yesterday tell them how much you enjoyed catching up on a little sleep. In fact you could tell them how much better you felt with the extra sleep and that you may have to do that more often even if it's not raining. hehe. Anick, is your friend using her silicone mat to make dog treats? I saw a group on FB that had recipes for making them. I need to go find that again. Mine should get here today. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)
