Good morning everyone Happy Wednesday Anick when you wear the shawl you will have so many compliments. It is great how it just blended together to make such a wonderful design my luck is not good in doing that. Yes having Ward awake made for a pleasant visit. Lisa sorry you did not get rain but that is a beautiful picture you posted with the sun and haziness from all that smoke in California. So glad to hear your boyfriend did not take his motorcycle to visit his mom in South Dakota especially with all the Covid from that rally. When I lived in Florida the sand in between the grass was even to hot for my doggies to be on. Leslie Marsha has seen the picture said she loved it will get the shawl on Friday. Glad to hear you getting somewhat better Carol glad to hear going to be a mild winter I would think with everything else happening around the world we would have a bad winter. Hope the vet doesn't call back with any bad news we are for Molly. Hope something that can be corrected with medicine. Laura how are you doing Well I have Miss Dixie Monroe body of her shawl complete going to work on pockets this evening when have pockets finished then the border and it will be ready to ship. I got the poly fill in for the chicken hat but yarn not arriving till Saturday

Well, here they predict a very cold and harsh winter that should start very early this year, I am so not ready for that. Dee, it is the first time I get lucky like that on one of my projects. After all we are starting a second here in Canada. Our daily cases were very low and they have double the last 2 weeks. We are still very low if we compare to the USA but we had it so much under control that it is not good to see our numbers. My province did a grid of the regions and colour codes of the level of infection and did put in place a plan to shut down only the regions or cities that would turn orange before they turn red. For now my region is still in green but a few are in yellow and got to be careful.

Molly has 3 kinds of bacteria in her tummy, like a few weeks ago. She can start eating her reg. foods instead of boiled stuff. But I think I will still give her and Pooks boiled chicken, hamburger and eggs and rice. They like it!

Carol, the plants sounds nice. Hope they do well. I'd love to have a lilac in my yard. My grandmother used to have one and I remember it smelling so nice sometimes when we would come to visit. I've got several Rose of Sharon in my yard. Those were here when I moved in. Dee, I'm so glad Ward was awake for this visit. What a shame someone was mowing making it hard to hear though. I can't wait for your hot air balloon ride. I hope you will take pics. I think that should be fun. A great way to celebrate. Hope you will have some pretty fall colors then, too. What a lovely view that would be. Anick, that did work out well on the color changes. Couldn't have been placed better. Lisa, yikes on all the covid cases associated with the rally. Wow. Thank goodness your boyfriend didn't go. Anick, that is frustrating about your covid numbers. Do they have an idea what caused numbers to jump up? I need to watch what they do here in my county. Starting Monday the kids go back to school 5 days a week and regular sized classes. Will be interesting to see if that makes a difference. They have been clearing land close to me for a new development. I'm so sick of hearing the equipment. I hear them getting rid of trees and moving dirt around all day and I hear them doing bridge work all night. Wish they would give us a break. The getting rid of trees and moving dirt has been going on for weeks. As well as being tired of the noise I am tired of everything being covered in a layer of dirt and dust. And I won't even get started on how I feel about the loss of trees and place for the wildlife to live. Sigh. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Laura it makes me so angry the disregard for wildlife! I know around here the colleges all opened and there had been a huge spike! Dee sorry about mower! It is hard enough to hear as is it! I know Marsha and Dixie will love their shawls! Anick glad the numbers are low but so sorry about the second ! Why won't people just wear a mask? Carol sorry too hear about Molly's bacteria! Good idea to keep her on the bland food! Leslie l hope your eyes are still improving! Kathy, l hope you and Steven are doing well!

For some reason, my dogs insist on walking on pavement even when it’s hot out. I push them toward the grass, but the go back on pavement.
Lisa, tell Chuck he can go to Sturgis if he never takes off his helmet for the whole trip. No raising the visor either. He should be healthy and really skinny by the time he gets home!

Anick, are people in Canada wearing masks? I would think that folks have them on all the time. Why are the numbers rising?

Good morning everyone Happy Thursday My granddaughter goes back to the classroom the end of September not sure if they have to wear mask or what now she is doing online schooling Anick sorry that Willy had you up early doing the zoomies, Is that a first shawl you have ever made I am so glad it turned out so perfectly for you. Here in Kentucky anytime we go out in to the public a requirement for a mask you can't go inside a building without a mask Leslie do you wear wear a mash when you are meeting Toby's girlfriend Colby Lisa does Chuck wear a helmet when riding his motorcycle? It is not law here I see a lot of motorcyclist riding without helmets I wish it was a law though. I know they can be hot but if they get in an accident at least it protects their heads and I don't see how they can ride without a helmet that has a visor because bugs fly into their mouths and eyes. Laura when I go on the balloon ride I will definitely get pictures to post for you to see. I bought me one of the face shields a plastic cover see how that works this way my ears don't get irritated from the straps and I also but one of the ones you wear around you neck and pull up to cover your nose and mouth. The plastic face shields claim you won't be rubbing your eyes. Carol sorry Molly has 3 bacteria's maybe she is getting a hold of squirrel poop. the medicine helps clear it up and nice you will still give her boiled chicken, eggs and hamburger and rice. Well I got the pockets finished on Miss Dixie Monroe pocket shawl and tonight will start the border I wrote her a message telling her I should finish Friday but asked her for her mailing address. Marty hope all that smoke that makes your place dark is not hurting your breathing Hugs Dee & Tori

In some Provinces you got to wear a mask, here in Quebec we got to wear them in public places. Why cases are going up is different from one Province to the other. Here in Quebec school as started last week and for now that is not a problem, the problem is people from 18 to 25 years old who get together, bars that allow gathering without social distancing are getting close down for some time to give them a lesson, we will see if it help. Canada was down to 300 to 350 new cases a day (if we do the math for the equivalent of the population it would be like the USA getting 3,000 to 3,500 new cases a day) and now we got back up to 600 to 700 new cases a day (That would be 6,000 to 7,000 for the USA)

Hi Ladies,
Anick, it is so scary how cases are going up everywhere! I know if I had school aged kids, they would not be attending in person!!
Dee, how exciting that you scheduled your balloon ride! Is Devan going with you> Wow, that's right around the corner! Can't wait to see pictures!!
Leslie, he doesn't wear a helmet! Darn him!! Funny, though! He is so mad at himself for gaining weight that that would be a great solution! Ha ha!!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Anick that is terrible cases going up but good that they shut down bars that have gatherings to teach them a lesson Lisa I agree if I had a kid I would have them do on line classes just to keep safe. We have to wear our mask when we go on the Hot Air Balloon Ride and yes Devan is going but since we are taking the morning ride and it takes an hour to get there may have a problem getting her out of bed. Sorry to hear boyfriend does not wear a helmet when riding a motorcylce Carol glad you got the dasquins in the mail now you can start Molly on them we hope her medicine starts kicking it to stop the running poops. Carol does your husband wear a helmet when riding his motorcycle. Laura how is Pippi foot doing Marty you all be careful in all the smoke and ash stay inside Kathy the food you supply is great. everyone last night my cousin Cindy's niece contacted me to see if I heard from Cindy I said Friday was hit when she called to thank me for the fruit basket I sent her and said she was allergic to strawberries so I told her to give it to them. Vicki said she did it was pretty and thank you. She said she has been calling, texting and knocking on Cindy's door with no answer said all day yesterday she had a funny gut feeling so was wondering if she should call wellness check I told her yes call for wellness check not like her not to return your messages so while sending me messages she called said cops were on their way 15 minutes later texting OMG I asked what is it she said the cops knocked no answer so they broke the door down she could not go in could not breathe from the smell when the door opened. The cops went in said she was dead must have died in her sleep no vomit but a lot of diarrhea. Told Vicki to call the funeral home the cops got the primary doctor to sign the death certificate. The CSI thought she died Saturday or Sunday night but Vicki said her sister saw Cindy get the mail Tuesday so maybe she died Tuesday or Wednesday night. She said it was nuts and so upsetting. cops said she needed $2000 to pay funeral home up front but I told her talk with them they make take payments and to get reimburses she could set up a go fund me page on Cindy's facebook her friends may donate with all the goodies she made for them. She did manage to be able to go in and say goodbye to Cindy. She said when she brought Cindy home from the hospital last week she was asking what to do if something happened to her did she have a will, insurance, money, she said no will, no insurance and no money. She didn't even know if Cindy wanted cremated. I told her to go ahead and cremate her as her parents are cremated and so is Tommy she has all their urns on her mantle asked her if she was going to take the urns. Got no response about that or if she would take the dog as the cops told her to call animal control unless she would take the animals. Cindy had her dog since a pup I hope Vicki takes it as bad enough to lose Cindy without going to a shelter at least she is familiar with Vicki. She did not tell me what she will do but I understand she is all upset with all this falling in her lap. I did not get sleep last night because of this because she texted me at 11:30 pm the funeral home was there transporting her body. I will not go to New Jersey for the viewing if she has one but my sister who lives in New Jersey said she would go to represent the family. I usually take my shower before getting on the computer but this morning decided to post and now will go take my shower and lay back down some

Dee I am very sorry about Cindy and hope her dog will be well cared for. No my hubby doesn't wear a helmet. He used to long ago. Yes he knows he should but I stopped harping on him years ago. What happens will happen. If something bad does, he at least is doing something he enjoys. You have to have some enjoyment in life. Have a super day all. Carol, Molly & Pooks

Lisa, I could go on and on about the development they are doing on one edge of the neighborhood. One of my big complaints is they are putting in new retail space. My county can't keep the retail space we already have full. The mall is half empty (or more now with the pandemic), strip malls always have empty space. So why, why, why do we need more retail space?!! I'm not thrilled with anything else they have planned in that space either. Part of it includes town homes and apartments (even though we were told time and time again there would be no apartments - they are calling them multi family dwelling units ... which is an apartment) and will bring in about 1200 new families. Our schools can't support that many new families and I sure as heck don't want the traffic. I liked the trees and birds and foxes and whatever else was living there much better. Sigh. Monday the kids here go back to normal sized classrooms and in class five days a week. Masks are encouraged but not required by the kids. Teachers and staff have to wear them. You are supposed to wear masks in stores here. Signs all over the place saying they are required, but I still see a lot of people without. Or people with them hanging around their neck and not covering their face. Or they have their mouth covered but not their nose. Wow Dee. I'm surprised a helmet is not law on a motorcycle. I assumed it is here, but I'm really not sure. Just seems like a good idea. I can remember when one of my grandmothers was in a nursing home and I would go to visit her. There was a young man - I will guess in his 20s - in a wheelchair. He couldn't speak and could barely move. Could use one hand a little to maneuver his electric wheelchair. He had been in a motorcycle accident. I kept thinking what a long and boring life he was going to have following around pretty nurses in a nursing home the rest of his years. So . Dee, I'm so sorry about Cindy. That would be unsettling. At least she is at peace now. I hope Vicki was able to take the dog. What kind/size of dog did Cindy have? Had a ukulele zoom jam session with three computers connected this time. My internet connection was terrible. So much for the high speed internet I supposedly have. It didn't seem to work as well as when it's just been two computers, but I don't know if that was a shortcoming of zoom or more related to my terrible internet connection this time. I could hear the one computer where it was my two friends I have played with before, but could rarely hear the other lady. And at times when I could hear her, she was about half a verse off from the others. Made it confusing. We're looking forward to cooler weather and then we will try meeting when we can sit outside. It will be much easier in person. Looks like we won't get to try again for about a month because of various schedules. I have been keeping Pippi going with some rimadyl. She is doing better and I actually didn't give her any this morning to see how she does. I have either been outside "mowing" or she has been napping. So can't say much for today yet. Yesterday she was still favoring the one foot a tad, but much improved. May have to do the rimadyl a bit longer, but hoping we can back off. Still have no idea what she did or exactly where she is hurting, but she's chasing the cats to play and keep them from food she thinks she is going to get. So I figure it can't be too bad. hehe. After being taunted a few mornings with the cooler temps, the temp and humidity has gone back up. Sigh. Hopefully, hopefully soon I can get some real fall weather. I love sweatshirt and jeans kind of weather. I always feel more energized with that. Instead I was dripping with sweat when I finished "mowing" (with the weed eater) today. It just wears me out. So I am envious of all the napping the dogs have been doing since I have come back inside. hehe. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Daisy & Josey, YAY for the Dasuquin getting there!!! DALLAS we are so sorry to hear about Cindy. We hope Vicky will take your dog. That is so hard on our pets! Pippi,it drives us crazy they keeping building malls further and further out and then the ones in town are dying! We sure hope your foot is much, much better. Yesterday, Mommy took Ranger to the vet for his dental. She didn't tell daddy and was he mad! He looked all over for him and couldn't find him! She was expecting him to be gone by the time she took him in and just didn't think to tell him. Now he has Meloxicam and anti-biotics. He was a little whiny last night, but seemed better this morning.
