Dee that is so beautiful!! I also can't wait for you to move back to Florida!! People need to watch what they say! A person needs to walk in others shoes before they speak. You took way more then most would when you were taking care of your husband. I was exhausted with my Uncle when he still lived at home. I would check on him very very often and I ran my household to. It is exhausting. I don't see how you did it. Soon you will be so much happier and free!! You are a good woman and very appreciated by your friends!! Last year my son bought me a pot and pan set with lids that are stainless steel at a friends yard sale that was clearing out her fathers house. All I have to do is mention something and Travis gets it for me. He has changed so much over the years. Praise The Lord!! Love you all Carol & Pookah

What a day of excitement! I am glad Rosemarie wasn’t hurt worse. You are a good friend to help her despite how she treats you.
That quilt is wonderful! Did you use a minky fabric for the back? I never thought of doing that. I love what you wrote on the tag. Your friend is going to treasure that blanket! Now that your tables are down, is the house starting to look empty? It always makes me feel unsettled when a house is packed for moving, and it starts to echo.

Thanks for the cakes Dee & Lisa. I am still beat. I have worked too hard lately. Thankfully I only have one more day to go & I will miss part of it because I have a doctor's appointment.
I went to that Steakhouse/Mexican place & no customers were there like usual. Everytime I go by there, nobody is eating. That turns me off from it, so I did not eat there. I tried Costa's Mediterrian next & they were closed. I thought CiCi's Pizza buffet would be nice, but they were closed too!
Finally I wound up at Red Lobster. My parents & I all got The Sailor's Platter with 3 fried slices of whitefish, popcorn shrimp & shrimp scampi. We all got a salad & a baked potato. We just drank water. It was all so good. The garlic cheddar biscuits there are always great too.
We checked out that "bingo" place. They made things complicated there in our opinion. You have to buy a ticket, log into every machine you wish to play with a pass code. If you win, you have to go play bingo to get your money. I didn't get it & I was not going to go through those steps just to play some slots.
We drove to the Birmingham Race Course & played the slots there. I was having some luck for a few minutes & then I lost. I don't care. I had alot of fun. I just found out today that I am getting a nice award on my next paycheck, so I made back what I lost, plus plenty.

Leslie, I feel certain you could run circles around me. I hope your parents have no issues getting their washer delivered and installed. Dee, I hate to hear about Rosemarie falling and getting hurt. I hope she will take it easy and use the walker more. I'm glad you were close and could go over. I'm sure it helped her and Bill feel better to have you there. The t-shirt quilt turned out nicely. That is a neat way to hold on to memories. And the label turned out nicely, too. Carol, that is nice that Travis listens when you mention things and that he acts on it. It seems all too often you hear people talking about problem children and such. Nice to hear about the good ones. Ginger, whew. I'm glad you found a place to eat for your birthday. A shame some of your other choices didn't work out, but Red Lobster sounds good to me. And glad you had some fun at the race course. And woo-hoo on the bonus on your next pay check. Always a nice thing to have. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good afternoon everyone!!
Leslie, I was thinking the same thing, but now I feel bad because she fell!
Dee, thank goodness you were there for her! That quilt turned out awesome!! My dad didn't wear tee shirts but I would have loved something like that! My brother did, and my ex-sister in law made me a witch and a dragon out of a couple of his tee shirts!
Laura sorry the uke buddies didn't make it, but better safe than sorry! Wow, what a day you had. I hope your parents appreciate you! As for the dry erase marker, nail polish remover did wonders, after failing with hydrogen peroxide!
Ginger, their cheddar bay biscuits are to die for! I could eat just those! Sounds like you had a good meal, though, and congrats on the bonus!
Anick did you do anything to celebrate Canada day?
Carol I am glad you have such a thoughtful son! That is a testament to how you raised him!
Speaking of kids, I am wondering how many of us have children? I have none. My fur babies are my children!

I'm like you - only fur kids. Geordie was my first; Toby is my last.
Red Lobster sounds like a really great place to have a birthday celebration! I am a seafood fan, myself.
Carol, you must be so proud of your son!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Anick thanks for the compliment on the tee shirt quilt. Mary is coming by Tuesday afternoon to pick it up. Carol I am so glad you son has changed and whenever you want something he gets it for you. Raising Jerry as a teenager I wish there was an Island I could have sent him to till those terrible years we past but when he was in his 20's he sent me a very lovely Mother's Day Card I asked him if he meant to send it to his mother and got mixed up he said know I sent it to you as I really appreciate how you raised me. Lisa called me yesterday afternoon giving me the name and phone number of a realtor lawyer her company gives their employees and immediate family with a case number to give them but had to hang up as Bill was calling me. Ginger I am prejudice but I think you ended up in a far better place to celebrate your birthday. I always liked to go to Red Lobster with my friends on my birthday and with Ward. Sorry the Bingo place was not what you expected but glad you found some way to celebrate Leslie the video said to use fleece but Mary supplied her husband fleece blanket he always had on him when sitting at the table having coffee and watching the birds and she wanted it so I said fine. thank you for the compliment on the tee shirt quilt. Laura I visited Rosemarie at 9 am at her house and she looked horrible said she had a bad night so sick and dizzy and she had a call in to her doctor to get a prescription for the vertigo which she thinks she has I told her if he gives you a prescription and they don't delivery emergency prescriptions I will go pick it up for you but I told her he may want to see her in the office if so I will take her. So I left at 11 to go home and get my boxes out of my computer room into the garage I cleared out for them which will make much easier loading on to a truck. My daughter in law Lisa called me at 3 to give me the case number and phone number of the realtor lawyer her company pays for their employees and immediate family so Monday will call with case no get a free consultation ask if they can do the stuff for me selling my house or do I need to get a realtor but had to hang up while talking to her as Bill was calling me. Went to Rosemarie they said her doctor sending an ambulance wants her in the ER so when the ambulance got there checked to see what hospital and Bill said I can leave to go to the hospital be there when they arrive. I went into the ER room with her and they ran a cat scan, ekg, heart xray, drew blood, took urine sample. The ER doctor came said all the test look good asked if she was feeling any better after the dizziness medication they gave her earlier said no when they got her up to go to the backroom everything spinning making her sick on her stomach, He though she somehow injured her celebruim before her fall to give her this dizziness she has been dealing with off and on thinking vertigo. So he said he will order an MRI. They said since she was still dizzy they were putting her as an outpatient observation one who stays less than 72 hours. Took her to her room at 6:45 and then I left told her I would come back at 11 today for visiting since visiting hours are 11 to 7. She asked me to go to her house wring out her clothes in her sink them with shout it out and put in the washer Bill would take care of it from there. Also asked me to bring her charger and the walker so when she gets out of my car at home she will have the walker. She said she has learned to use the walker more now. The doctor who will take care of her upstairs said if the MRI comes out clear then they will change her medication for vertigo since what she is taking no helping her. They want to check MRI to see if she had a stroke that messed with her celebruim. Her daughter Dottie in Maine I texted on Rosemarie phone for her to call her mom she is in hospital. Rosemarie wanted me to texted as she was working did not want to disturb her working I told her I am sure she will call as soon as she sees this text even if working and sure enough she did. She thought that maybe some of the medication causing her dizziness they don't work together. Rosemarie takes quite a bit of medication. That nurse at the ER said she is glad we just brought a list though they tell people to bring the bottle medication she said the nurses have to count each individual medicine in those bottles before turning into pharmacy. Di added me to a group of multi conversation I have never done that before she had me, Bill, her and the granddaughter Tina on the conversation I told them each thing they did and what the doctor said They asked questions I answered them but I could not see Tina comments or questions so Bill going to check my phone today while over there doing the things for Rosemarie at 9 the time I normally go to her house. Lisa my Ward never wore tee shirts either. In answer to your question about children I have no children but raised step son in both marriages my fur babies my children that is why I am hit so hard when I love one. Rosemarie was telling me how much it meant to her that I was there for her and started crying and her machine going crazy they were monitoring her blood pressure I told her she better quit getting upset they will make me leave as I am upsetting her. She told me if I wanted to leave she would understand I told her I was not leaving her alone in that ER room but when they come and take her to a room I will leave and go to my car and see her in the morning. I had to go home and feed my girls they were hungry way past their dinner time since I did not get home till after 7 pm once I fed them and put them outside all the boxes from my computer room I put in the kitchen I took outside to my garage where it will be easier to load on a truck and house will be cleared for someone to go through and see it once my sister comes and we get it all cleaned up. I was so exhausted could not get to sleep. Today Jerry bringing Chloe for me to dog sit over the weekend. Hugs, Dee, Tori & Dallas

Lisa, glad the nail polish remover worked. Maybe next time the cleaning people will pay attention to the paper note. hehe. The dragon and witch made from t-shirts sounds neat. Is it like a stuffed animal? Or more like an origami thing? No biological children, but two people children I claim partly as my own (one of whom passed away about a month ago). Plenty of fur kids - four dogs and four cats, two of each still with me. Leslie, I hate to hear Toby will be your last fur kid. I hope life may surprise you and bring another into your life at some point. Dee, I'm glad the hospital is keeping Rosemarie over night for observation. I hope they can figure out what is going on and get the dizziness stopped. In a way too bad they are not keeping her three nights. I think that is what you have to stay in TN for medicare to pay for it. Remind me, when can you safely sell your house and not have to worry about the nursing home Ward was in? I'm thinking some time in August, but can't remember for sure. And do you know when you are going house hunting in FL? I'll bet you are counting the days. I didn't get much done yesterday. My migraine came on strong and ended up a bad one. I used to get them quite often, then eventually learned to drink a lot more water. I've been bad about that at times lately and have had some painful reminders to do better. Just a smidge of a head ache left this morning, but thankfully not enough to keep me from doing things and trying to catch up today. My dad got in to see the cardiologist yesterday. We were glad they were able to move that appointment up a bit. They have ordered some tests - 30 day heart monitor, echocardiogram, 3 ultrasounds (a bubble study [neck veins], heart chambers, and carotid neck arteries. They have changed one blood pressure medication. Other than that, follow up in 6 weeks and go over test results. Told them signs to watch for that could be an indication of another stroke or heart attack. They did say probably a good idea that dad not drive until they know more, and didn't really answer any questions about exercise. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

I have had 1 hubby and together we have 1 son and 1 daughter. No other kids. Of course I have had lots of cats and some dogs. I have many nieces and nephews but since they are all grown up they never come around. We all have our own lives and routines and habits. Only my big brother and his wife and two of his kids and her son and my hubby's brother's and sister and some of their kids live in our county. My 2 kids and my 3 grandsons also live close by. We did get the yard mowed and I did some weeding. Everyone and fur have a great day!! I changed Pookahs profile picture to a good looking happy one Carol & Pookah

Speaking of dizziness, I get dizzy trying to keep up with everyone's posts! I am certainly not who I was even just a few short years ago. Health issues, work stress & personal issues have aged me.
I have had one of those Nintendo systems that came out 5 years ago that have something like 30 games built right into the system. Why I haven't hooked it up long before now, I don't know. I haven't played Nintendo since I was in my early 20's. I finally hooked it up to my TV a few days ago. I do not see how in the world I defeated many of those games years ago. I get upset when I keep going in circles. I wouldn't have gotten as far as I am now on most of them if I had not cheated & used the internet for help! I guess the mind of a young person is far more different than someone middle aged....or maybe it's just me. I don't know, but it's not the same now at all.
I have never been married nor had any children. I had goldfish & hamsters growing up & that's all. I have never had a dog. The only cat I have ever had is Twinkle. I didn't even adopt her until I was 30! I am an only child. I spent most of my life alone or usually wanting to be left alone. I've always been a major introvert. Most people have been abusive towards me in my life so that is why. I have never had a decent relationship with any family members because they always treated me like crap. I was bullied big time in school. I have always felt better & done better by myself.

Carol, the new profile picture looks good! Ginger, I never did much with video games. I don't think I was ever coordinated enough. hehe. We always had cats when I was growing up. Had a dog for a short while when I was a kid, but my dad wasn't really a dog person. I like both cats and dogs, and both can make your day better. I think dogs being so excited to see you again, even if you just went to the mailbox and back though might edge out cats. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good evening everyone!
Ginger, sorry about the bullying. I really do wish kids wouldn't do that. Unfortunately they just don't always get the empathy gene until later!
Leslie, l agree with Laura. First off, l wish Toby lives a long, long time, but second, that you will always have a furry child in your life.
Carol, l love Pooks new picture! I'm very glad you have a lot of family living close.
Dee sounds like it was almost a good thing Rosemarie fell so they can figure out what is wrong and so she'll use her walker.
I'll take a picture of the Dragon and witch tomorrow in the day light. Like stuffed animals!

Good morning everyone Happy Saturday Lisa that Dragon and witch tee shirt like a stuffed anima did you make it? can't wait to see it. Yeah they did an MRI on Rosemarie yesterday to make sure she did not have a stroke but it came out good no stroke so the doctor said it was her vertigo and he prescribed Valium for her going to tell Di to get rid of her old medicine for vertigo so she doesn't take it when she is home. Di coming home tonight at 7:30 pm I hope they release Rosemarie early as I am dog sitting for Chloe. I did post a message in their group chat that I was leaving at 2 sorry that I could not stay till visiting hours ends at 7 Di and Bill thanked me for all I was doing said they did not expect me to stay that long. Anyway Rosemarie kept falling asleep so later that night at 6 she called me she sounded great and I told her you sound great you must feel better she said she slept after I left and was just woke up with the phone ringing but did not get to it in time asked if I called her I said no not me. Then she said I will see who called and see me today. Then our friend Kathryn called me said she tried to reach Rosemarie and no answer she heard Rosemarie fell I said yes she fell Wednesday went to the Hospital Thursday night may get discharged today while we were talking she said Rosemarie calling her I said goodbye answer her call Ginger I am so sorry to hear you were treated like crap by family members I can relate to that and being bullied in school, I used to be called 4 eyes because I wore thick coco cola glasses so I can relate to being bullied. I am usually shy don't talk much till I get to know the person. Being treated badly by family members and bullied really lowers your self esteem. Carol I love Pooks new profile picture a happy one. That is nice that you only had 1 husband and 2 children and grandchildren and nephews though they are grown and have their own lives don't visit. You have had a blessed life with family and dogs and your and your brothers who are close to you Laura sorry you had a migraine which got worse. I hope you don't have one today. My sister is suppose to be coming the third week of July then when she gets here will see what day in August will will go house hunting I plan on calling the loan department the end of the week to see how much I qualify for that will determine whether I can look for a house or mobile home and have to pay lot rent. My daughter in law Lisa gave me the information to use the realtor lawyer they provide employees so may call see if that is a cheaper way to go than pay 6 percent commission to a realtor. Will call them Monday pr Tuesday Things getting together I cleaned a spot in my garage moved all the boxes I had packed out there so when my sister comes we clean this place up won't be a lot of junk and can show the house. Having the boxes in the garage then we just load in a truck when ready. I still have things like my dishes and silver ware things in the bathroom I need to be using to be packed. Leslie is toby doing any better Hugs Dee, Tori and Dallas & Chloe

Thanks for the compliments on Pooks picture. Actually it's an older on Ginger hope you are feeling better. I've never had many friend's . I've once in a while thought alone is better. Thats why as an adult I have had many cats and dogs. The best friends ever!! Both our kids have had times of being naughty but with lots of tears, fights, sleepless night and prayers we all have come through many things. God is always with us.
