Good morning everyone Happy Monday Carol so you got rain and snow. That was nice you and hubby fixed cheesburger on your grill after doing yard work. That is a good idea for kids to spend time with mom at home. Leslie what was your weather like for Mother's Day did you do anything special Lisa it was storming here, raining thundering and windy so when Rosemarie called me at 12 to come over and play games I told her I wasn't going out in that weather staying home as Dallas was curled in my lap when that thunder woke her up and wasn't going to disturb her so I will hear about that today when I go to play games this morning. My girlfriend from Omaha called and we talked for quite some time otherwise Jerry texted me Happy Mother's Day and so did my sister no one came to visit. So I just crocheted and sat on the couch with my furbabies giving them kisses and hugs. Facebook not allowing me to make comments today said I have done my quota so if I don't reply you know I want to but not allowed. I did mark their box I disagree with their decision about having limits to comments. Marty nice that Toffee going to day care today and school tonight hope you have a great day Annette how are you and Bertie Ginger hope you are feeling better today Kathy and Stephen hope you are doing okay. Laura how are you doing Hugs, Dee, Tori & Dallas

Saturday morning was opening day at the agility club. That mean moving things around, doing some repair and getting everything ready for summer. When we were done I was ready for a nap but I had to go bottle some wine in the afternoon. No need to say that that evening a simple little glass of wine did put me to sleep on the couch!
Look like my weather will start to be more normal at the end of the week, this year I am so late on the yard cleaning and getting the flowerbeds ready with all the bad weather and cold we had this year.

Mommy did the usual things such as feed the 3 inside cats, the 2 outside cats and me BOL!! Then at noon did dishes. Then by 3PM fed the cats again. I eat between 4:00 - 4:30. Her and dad had Eckrich grillers and salads for supper so no dishes Paper and plastic!! Dessert was Cheesecake months ago when Kroger had a sale. He has a big chest freezer in the laundry/cat room and keeps it stocked. Then we have an old fridge in the Parlor and a newer one in the kitchen and we all keep them stocked pretty good. The weather was snow and rain most of the day. Of course by 5PM the sun came out BOL!! Carol & Pookah

Hello everyone! I can't count the times I have posted something only to be told that page can't be accessed. I've got to always remember to copy & paste just in case. That's why you won't see anything from me for a while. I'll post something only to get that message & lose the post. I am not going to retype everything.
Anyhow my knee is acting up today. Work has been really stressful today. I really wish I could make time stop & I could have a break for 5-7 days or so.

Lisa for all the losses in your family. I hope there is still time to mend things with your step sister and get to enjoy that relationship again. I'm assuming she is still living. My dad is the only male of that generation of the family left. And mom, her two sisters (one lives locally) and an aunt by marriage are what is left of the females for that generation. I hope my dad will take after others in his family and live into his 90's, but I don't think he thinks that will happen. His mother lived to 96, her mother made it to 93, and his grandfather on his father's side made it to 98. So I keep telling him it's in his genes. Mom and I are noticing cognitive changes though and none of those that made it to their 90s had any trouble there. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! Both moms of two legged and four legged children. Hope everyone had something that made their day special yesterday. My mother has never wanted gifts and in fact many years has made us return gifts. But this year I managed to come up with something she was happy to get. She has been at my house many times and mentioned if I have any little Redbud trees come up she would like one. So I got out in the yard and eventually found one I could get up. I had hoped to take her two or three, but apparently many of the little ones I thought I had coming up were shoots off roots for ones I had clipped before because I didn't need them growing where they were. So they were attached to big roots when you got down a little. That or just too close to other trees and things and couldn't get in and around all the roots. But I did find and manage to get one dug up and took it over to her. Got it planted at her house where she will be able to see it from her bedroom window, which is what she had wanted. Hope I got enough root and it will make it. Dee, yum to Red Lobster! What do you like to order when you go there? Carol, snow?!! Wow. Is that unusual for you this late in the year? We had some rain last night and yesterday about mid day the wind picked up. At times I kept expecting Auntie Em or Miss Gulch to go flying by. It was really whipping the trees around for a while. Dee, facebook is ridiculous sometimes. Hope tomorrow things are back to normal there for you. Have you made more comments than usual lately? If not, makes you wonder why they would say that. Heck, even if you did make more than usual it makes you wonder why they would do that. Hmm. I missed where Toffee was going to day care. That should be fun. And hope he is enjoying classes. Pippi always did. Anick, it sounds like you had a very full Saturday. I don't think I would have needed the glass of wine to fall asleep in the couch. hehe. Carol, Pippi and Cheeky also like to eat around 4 or 4:30. Some days they start trying to get me to feed them around 3 or 3:30. I envy you the big freezer. Wish I had an upright freezer. I just have the little one on the top part of the fridge, and it is little! Ginger for the knee pain, the frustration with the site, and the stress at work. Hope all three settle down! I hadn't seen one of my neighbors for a while. I had seen the wife, but not the husband. Ran into her over the weekend and was talking and found out he has been in FL helping take care of his father. Father and step mom had both been vaccinated, but caught covid. She didn't make it. Apparently still not sure if the father will pull through. I keep trying to tell myself that age and possibly other health issues are playing into this, but still discouraging to think the vaccination hasn't spared them. My day started off a little frustrating. Took some laundry downstairs, tossed it in the washer, picked up the detergent and found a mess where the bottle had leaked on the wood shelf. Ugh. In picking up the bottle I had dripped it on the floor, in the laundry basket, and on my shoes. Set it in the laundry basket and went to get a tray to use to carry it and the old bottle that I luckily still had to the kitchen. Thought I would set the old bottle up on something taller and get it poured into the old bottle. It's one of those big bottles that has the little button you can press and get some out - like a cooler for water. Well, the thing I put it on wasn't quite tall enough and I ended up getting detergent down the outside of the old bottle, too. Then I went to look for a funnel so I could take the lids off and pour from one to the other without making even more of a mess to clean up. Had to look all over to find something other than a funnel I use to put oil in the car. Finally found it and got it poured into the old bottle. Then I got started cleaning up the shelf, floor, laundry basket, tray, countertop, thing I had set the old bottle on, outside of both bottles and the funnel. Do I know how to start a day or what?!! hehe Hope everyone else's day has been off to a good start. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday Carol feeding the animals definitely keeps one busy and I was amazed you got snow too did you get much you did mention it melted. On Mother's Day we just had a heck of a thunderstorm, lightning, windy and rain but not snow. It is only going to be 57 today I thought we May weather we should be in the 70's Laura I know what you mean about the wind thinking of Wizard of Oz expecting to see Auntie Em and flying by. That was so wonderful of you to dig up a red bush and plant it out side of your mom's bedroom window so she could see it we hope it blooms after all that work. Sorry about the laundry mess you had to clean and how it turned out to be so frustrating. i am sorry your dad is starting to get cognitive issues where other family members with a long life did not have that issued. Anick glad you got everything set up and fixed for opening day at gym and I bet that glass of wine that put you to sleep was good after a hard day of work. Sorry with the weather you haven't been able to do much on your yard. Lisa on Facebook I am in the group Church Walk and I post comments when people are asking for prayers to let them know I am for them plus in PDPC the games they have that I post on but it started again today so I just put the disagree button again. Ginger we are so sorry to hear your mom is in such pain from her knee. Leslie how are you doing Marty how was day camp for Toffee and what did he learn at school kathi and Stephen hope you two are doing okay Annette hope you and Bertie are okay I had a nice lunch visit with my friend Patti who I used to work with we met at Frisch in Alexandria Ky a half hour ride from Rosemarie house. I play games with Rosemarie then left to meet Patti did not tell Rosemarie otherwise she would want to go so I could take her shopping at Meijers she kept asking me yesterday when we are going to Walmart. I told her weather permitting Thursday after we play games. Today we are playing games and leaving at 10:30 as Rosemarie said she is buying Bill & Di lunch for their wedding anniverary ( I always pay my own lunch when we all go out) but guess Rosemarie wanted to make sure I know to pay my own lunch. She always has to brag about good things she does for people When we eat at Red Lobster I will order what I always ordered when Ward and I went there for our anniversary Christmas Eve. I will order shrimp in garlic butter and stuffed flounder with crab. Hoping tomorrow it does not rain as want to go to the cemetery to visit Ward it is his 80th birthday tomorrow I will go there after we play our games Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Dee, I think FB objects to posting on your own page. That doesn't make sense either because that is what FB is for. Posting and sharing post's. If they ever stop me from posting Christian things then I will leave there. I will never deny my love for God. Carol & Pookah

Lisa, I haven't watched any of the Hunger Games movies. And I haven't read the books. But I did enjoy the Underland Chronicles, which I think was by the same author. Dee, the Redbud I planted was a small one. So it may be a few years before they get to enjoy blooms on it, but hopefully it will do well there and they can enjoy it for years to come. The problems on facebook ... is it just in other groups and things or on your page/wall as well? Wonder what has changed that it is a problem now. I know someone that had trouble, but I think in her case it was reposting too many of other people's things and I'm guessing someone objected. And someone else who's account had been hacked and had made tons of posts from her account. Enjoy your lunch today. I haven't been to Red Lobster in a while, but always enjoy it when I do get to eat it. A good part of the time I order the grilled trout (one of my favorite things to eat), but I also like the fish tacos and a few other things. And I like to get a cup of Lobster Bisque. Wish I had a cup to enjoy right now. I hope you will have good weather for your visit to the cemetery tomorrow. I'm thinking again about buying a little heartbeat thing you can stick inside a stuffed toy or bed or whatever. It would be for Pippi. That and possibly a self warming bed. I'm afraid she would dig too much at one that was plugged in and it wouldn't be safe. She always wants to be touching me. Most of the time I don't mind, but sometimes I need to be up and moving around and I am wondering if she would be content in a warm bed and feeling a heart beat. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Oh Laura, I love the idea of a stuffie with a heartbeat! Sorry Pippi might need that comfort, though.
Dee, happy birthday to Ward tomorrow! I hope the weather is pleasant!!
Carol, I don't think it will come to that!
Laura, yes, that is the same author and I LOVED the books. The movies are pretty true to the books. so I liked them, too.

Good morning everyone Happy Wednesday Carol they are not objecting to the pictures I post or share but comments I make in reply to people post is when I get the things that says I have commented too much Laura what has changed I joined a Church Walk group where they post asking for prayers and I make comments there and I joined a Widow 55 when people are feeling down and grieving for the loss of their husband I post comments there and of course all the Schnauzer groups I join I post comments how I love their dog. I just don't look and not comment. I love the idea of getting a stuffie for Pippi with a heart beat. Leslie thanks for the birthday wishes for Ward. Lisa I checked the weather this morning fair but chilly so after my games will head to the cemetery before I head home. I did wake up this morning crying at 1 am thinking of Ward and missing him rough day. Annnette so you have flowers but you don't know their names in your garden are they a variety of colors. Sorry to hear you are coming into winter do you get snow there or just cold weather. I want to thank Patrick for the blue background even though it only works for every other post but it is a big help with my eyes. Would you believe when I went to Red Lobster I ate Chicken Tenders, mashed potatoes and a baked potato they no longer served my favorite stuffed flounder with crab and I did not feel like eating shrimp. Bill got grilled rainbow trout I guess the next time I go to Red Lobster I can try that something new and different. But their chicken tender was delicious. Hugs, Dee, Tori & Dallas
