Good morning Happy Thursday Anick I am so sorry about how they have the right to do that and you can't do nothing about it. So frustrating. Lisa I did not know you knew Nancy Johnson her and I were pen pals from Annie Attic sending letters back and forth with pictures of things we made then she found me on facebook and we were friends on facebook it was she died from cancer and she was taking care of her husband with Parkinson and after her death he had to go into assisted living. She made beautiful things. There were 13 of us pen pals and all our dead but me. I am glad you have half a day then going grocery shopping and then fixing cornbread as you have ham and bens in the slow cooker. Diane I am hoping Buddy is still having a good day Carol hoping the storms not bad for you since Joseyis afraid of storms Leslie how are you and Murphy doing Laura how is Pippi and Willow and Dakota and are you getting in some music time Deb did you finally get your taxes filed. I went to the Bocce Luncheon did not have all they had expected but there was a lot of food and over 20 people so good. Another couple bought devilled eggs so mine were not eaten all up and neither was there so taking mine to quilters today see if they will eat them. I have chair yoga at 9 then Zumba at 10 then will go home till time to go to quilting at 12. Bonnie had me watch Mindy from 8 to 5 so she could go on a picnic they had 95 guy and lesbian at the picnic good turnout and she said one of them knew her sister Karen small world. Hugs, Dee, Dallas and Bell

Anick, is there anything you can legally divert over to that neighbor’s property? Opossums maybe? Or termites?
Dee, I am sure your delicious eggs will be welcome at quilters’ group!
Murphy is fitting in more and more each day. He is learning to do tricks, and he seems like such a happy guy. He isn’t great at walking on a leash, but really he hasn’t been doing it all that long. He seems to more curious and less afraid of things in the neighborhood. I’m still waiting for him to show how naughty he can be! 😆

Anick, that is a shame that the city gave them permission. So can you sue the city since they gave them permission? Really!! Dee, yes, Nancy was SUCH a sweet lady and very talented. I still have quite a few of her quilts and blankets. I gave away a few, too. Of course, they were all dog themed, except one I gave Janice (the lady who had Ebony before she passed away from cancer as well.) Hers had cats. I'll have to post some pictures to show them off! Oh you can bring your eggs here! Chuck and I love them and I haven't made them in awhile. Maybe I'll make some this weekend!! Sounds like another busy day for you! Leslie, I am so happy to hear that Murphy is a happy guy and he is fitting in so well! What kinds of tricks is he learning? My happy today is I got my "reward" for 25 years of service at the Glendale Public Liibrary. There is a certificate, a little pin and a $75 gift card.

Congratulations Lisa! (I’m surprised they didn’t give you a book as part of your gift as well. 😆)
So far Murphy is working on the basics. He knows Sit and can do a short Stay. He is learning Left Paw/Right Paw. He can Spin. He will stick his tongue out on command. We’re working on him standing on his back legs and reaching his arms in the air. That one is cute.
One place where we’re having trouble is Down. Does anyone have suggestions for how to teach a pup to lie down? I forget what finally worked to get through to G & T.

When I had one dog as a child, I got to take her to dog obedience classes. After she was taught to heel, we worked on the sit command for a week. The following was to lie down. So she would sit and I would give a light push on her shoulders while saying lie down. Then asshe laid down on command, she got a treat. Or a pat and saying good dog. I was interested in one your quilts to have one from a friend, not just any old quilt! I still haven't gotten my taxes done. How do I know I'm getting money back? I did the previous years. My work pay is still the same because I didn't take any more education classes. My Soc. Sec. is a bit more but not much. The vet tech that was supposed to come over today to trim Foofy's nails had to cancel. Her daughter fell in the playground and was injured. She had to go take care of her. Hopefully tomorrow she's able to make it. I also need to have my friend, Michael, come over to help me get rid of things.

What things will you be getting rid of? I hope you are able to get Foody’s nails done. I know what a little stinker she can be. 😆

Leslie, this week I saw a groundhog digging under their pool, they can't see it from their house so maybe... It is such good news about sweet Murphy!!! For Willy I did use a treat to show him down, I did make him sit and I did use the treat to guide him down slowly by moving the treats almost between his front paws, he eventually did put an elbow down and I did reward that. After he got one elbow down I did wait for the second one before giving the treat. I was always giving the treats on the floor between his front paws, never holding it up.
Lisa, I did call a lawyer about that and I was told, based on others who did try, that it would cost me 10x the price of the greenhouse to do so and I got less then 5% chances of winning. Nice they did give you something for 25 years! I am also surprised it doesn't involve a book!

Good morning Happy Friday Anick at least that lawyer warned you instead of taking your money and just losing the case. It is a shame things work like that. I like how you trained Willy to get down. Lisa Congratulations that was a nice retirement gift I am surprise they did not add a book. How did you meet Nancy Johnson did you see her in person or just by written communication. I never met her in person but once we were on facebook I was able to see what she looked like. She did do wonderful work. Deb sorry the vet tech daughter fell was injured hopefully not bad and she will come today to do Foofy nails. I hope you can get your friend Michael over to help get rid of things. Leslie you are looking forward to Murphy doing something naughty. I think you are blessed about how sweet and curious he is and loves learning and getting not so afraid. I think I need to send Belle your way. Carol how are Daisy and Josey doing. Diane how is the weather your way and I hope Buddy still doing good Laura we miss you. I have chair volleyball at 10 then getting my nails done at 2. I got my hair cut last night. Hugs Dee, Dallas and Belle

Anick, I hope that critter does a lot of damage over there! Is there a fence separating your properties? Just wondering if they are throwing snow over the fence.
Lisa, I am also surprised you did not get a book! Congrats on that milestone!
Leslie, I used treats for both Abby and Buddy to get them to lie down. I got them sitting, then put the treat close to their nose and direct the treat down while saying down. That worked.
Buddy seems to be doing ok. We welcomed winter part 2 on Wednesday and Thursday and Buddy loved the snow. It is now warming up so should be melted maybe by this weekend.
Hope everyone had a good day

Good afternoon everyone!! Leslie, oh, I bet that is adorable! I'd love to see that as well as the sticking the tongue out!! As for down, I found this on Youtube: Deb, I'm sorry your vet tech's daughter got hurt. I hope it is not too serious!! And I hope s/he can come soon to help! Anick, that is really a shame! Here in the USA, most news channels have a (the channel number) on your side where they see if they can intervene. Do you have anything like that? It just doesn't seem right!! Hee hee on the mole!! Dee, I met her through a group in Dogster. Not sure which one, and then we became friends on Facebook. That is where I got most of the quilts from. I also got a couple things her daughter, Tammy made. One was a bone shaped placemat for the dog's dishes. Carol, thank you, I thought it was nice too. Congrats on your sunny skies! I hope you all enjoy them!! Diane, glad to hear Buddy is having another good day! That makes me happy!! Laura, I hope Pippi is having good days as well! Kathy I know that all of us are for you everyday and hoping things get straightened out soon!! Marty, how are you and Toffee doing? We haven't seen you here in awhile!! Donna, how is out sweet little Vincent/Vinny doing? How big is he now? As for the gifts for the 25 years of service, it was actually from the city and not the library. I suppose the gift card could be spent on books!! My happy is I overslept this morning and didn't get the planned dinner started in the slow cooker, so I am going to stop by Popeye's on the way home!

Thanks for the tag, Lisa Clarabelle. My hubby had a stroke last week, so I've been majorly distracted. He's doing well, he can move and feel everything and has no speech issues. He had severe vertigo for several days, and he's still off-balance. He's missing peripheral vision on the left side. He's finally in rehab, and we expect he'll be able to come home in a week or two.
Meanwhile I'm taking care of Don's end of the the household tasks and bill-paying, spending my afternoons with him at the hospital, and trying to spend as much time with Toffee as he needs. My niece is a vet tech, lives nearby and is very helpful, but Toffee expects breakfast and a walk at 5 a.m. 😴💤

Foofy got her nails trimmed today!!! Oh, the city gave you the gift. That's nice! Marty, I hope your hubby does well in rehab and gets to come home soon. It's really a blessing to have a niece who's a vet tech! Glad you can handle toffee's schedule...getting up at 5 a.m. It's been a few years since I got up that early.

Oh my gosh, Marty, I am so sorry to hear that your husband had a stroke! His recovery sound encouraging. Will he have to take blood thinners or something like that? If there is anything we can do for you, just let us know!
