Here\'s a recipe fur all you hot-weather pups! Indulge your dog this summer with fresh, frozen \"Pupsicles,\" which are as healthy as they are yummy. Dog-tested and from Woof Report reader Adrian and her treat taster, Benny, they\'re easy to make and all natural. Ingredients: two mashed bananas, one cup strawberries (fresh or frozen), one cup organic apple juice, and two cups yogurt (plain or vanilla). Instructions: Puree all ingredients in a blender, pour into ice cube trays or small plastic cups, freeze for one hour or more as needed, and thaw just so slightly before serving. Bone Appetit! Doggie lemon sorbet 1/4 cup real lemon juice 1/4 cup honey 2 1/2 cups water put everything in blender, blend put in freezer container, freeze until firm, thaw a little to soften when serving. The recipe also uses 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves, but mom didn't put that in ours, because mom wants to eat some of it too and she didn't want mint. (from Viator, August 2011)

Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out dry. Cinnamon Frosting: In a mixer, combine the following: 12 ounces non-fat cream cheese (room temp) 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon honey You can pipe different designs on top by using the carob frosting for color contrast. We found this recipe at the Freekibble site. Apple pupcakes fur doggies!! Apple Crunch Pupcakes 1/4 cup applesauce (unsweetened) 2/3 cup of water 1/8 tablespoons vanilla extract 4 cups whole wheat flour 2 tablespoons honey 1 cup dried apple chips (unsweetened) 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 medium egg Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together the water, applesauce, honey, egg and vanilla in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until well blended. Pour the batter into lightly greased muffin pans. Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Feed the finished treats to your pup! It's fun to make your own treats because you will know exactly what is inside. When you make these snacks, your house will smell like apples and fall. Your dog's mouth will definitely be watering. Whenever you make food for your pets, be sure to take under consideration what your animal likes and doesn't like, as well as any allergies it might have. If you're not sure about allergies, feed them a little bit of the treat and see how he reacts. If your pooch it up and nothing happens but a big grin, you're good to go!
