Hands down it sounds like the daddys win at falling asleep anywhere and everywhere, and easily. Lucky guys. Oh DALLAS I know your mom wouldn't let you starve. And we all have different needs and quirks with our health. You snacks of cheese and marshmallows sound yummy. ginger I hope your mom is feeling better today. And I hope she slept better last night. I'm sure this will be a tiring week with all the apointments coming up. I hope she can kick back and relax this weekend. Milo Blue Eyes Pa's surgery is coming up soon, isn't it? Happy birthday Pookah!
Today is Administrative Professionals Day! Mommy missed it last year & now she's missing it again. She always got tons of gifts. She's extremely good at her job. Everyone likes her or at least respects the fact that she knows what she's doing. In 2019 she got a Commissioners Citation Award. It's the highest honor you can get. Nobody else in her family ever got one.
Now her right knee is bothering her. She has an appointment with an orthopedic doctor today to check out her whole body bone scan she got Monday. She'll have the doctor look at her knee too. When she doesn't sleep, she paces the floor all night. She's had to lay on uncomfortable tables at doctor's offices lately. She also found out some upsetting news yesterday that she does not want to talk about yet. I figure any of these things could have caused her knee to start bothering her. Also, that's the knee that got hurt in an accident back in 1994. That could have something to do with it as well. Who knows? She sure hopes this pain will go away soon.

'n den he gotta quarantine all day Monday ina hotel 'n den da surgery iz scheduled fur early Tuesday mornin, don't know how lon' him will be'z dere, maybe a week; but Mommy 'n Pa stocked her up really goo' on foodagez taday 'n yesty.

Hi! Mommy's bone scan revealed she has arthritis in her elbow & shoulder areas in both arms. No cancer. No chipped bones. Everything looked good except for the arthritis. It didn't reveal why she's been in so much pain lately though. The doctor said she didn't need any further tests now. He checked her knee. He said the knees looked fine on the scan, but the right knee was a bit swollen & certainly tender now. He gave her a shot in it & told her to stay off her feet as much as possible. Toffee, Mommy is a Secretary at Social Security Administration. She handles time & attendance which is employees leave. The info she reviews gets sent to payroll. She does many reports, orders supplies, answers the phone all day long, routes calls, transfers claims to field offices, assigns documents & more. It can certainly be stressful. She's been doing this a little over 21 years. She knows what she's doing. |

Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) sorry your mom is missing Administrative Professionals Day. Someone who knows how to do their job and does it well makes everyone else's job easier, too. Congrats on the award mommy won. That is fantastic.  for all the health issues. I hope the bad news yesterday wasn't too bad. And I hope today mommy got good news. Mmm that cake looks good Milo Blue Eyes . Don't think I have seen that one before. I guess covid checks before surgeries will be the new norm for a while. Hope his test comes back negative and he is able to have the surgery Tuesday. We'll be keeping the whole family in our thoughts next week. Mmm. Not only did that cake look good. Everything else does, too. I'm digging in! Come on everyone! Thanks Milo!

Oops. Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) sneaked in and posted while I was taking so long to reply. Thank goodness no cancer. That is good news. Sorry about the arthritis. My mom has plenty of that. Does your mom find when the barometric pressure drops she hurts more? My mom sure does. She says she could be a pretty good weather predictor at times. hehe. |

Pippi- If she gets cold enough to shiver, that affects her pain. She's never noticed anything else affecting it though. Well, the bad news she found out was that one of her ex boyfriend's purposely overdosed on pills back in November 2008 & died. She had not had any contact with him in a little over 20 years. She had been thinking about him & decided to look him up online & that is what she found out. She found his obituary & contacted an old friend of theirs to find out how he died & that is what she was told. He was a very troubled person. He looked for other people & other things for happiness instead of trying to help himself. He wasn't a bad person. He was never bad to Mommy. They were different people back then (at least she was). It didn't work out. He joined the Air Force & they lost contact. He fell in with the wrong crowd, quit the Air Force & got hooked on drugs & threw his life away. He fell into an even deeper depression & killed himself. She was quite upset to find this out needless to say!
