Oh Twinkle (My Sweet Angel), that is very  ! We are sorry for his family. My mommy has been at the Glendale library for 21 years as well! The county library for five years before that. You must be very proud of your mommy! Glad mommy doesn't have cancer! Hope they can find something that helps with the everythingpain. Milo Blue Eyes wow! A whole week? That seems like a long time! Hope everything goes great! Speaking of great, this spread looks wonderful! Pippi unfortunately, COVID isn't going away soon! Our governor removed the mask mandate. We think too soon! |

Twinkle we are sorry mommy missed Administrative Professional Day and all the nice nice gifts she used to get. We are happy to hear mommy does not have cancer in her shoulder or hands but sorry to hear she has arthritis which is very painful.
Clarabelle that is nice mommy has worked at the library 2 years. My mommy worked for the City of Ocala for 16 years before she had to reitre

Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) how about mommy's friend taking his own life. I'm so sorry. My thoughts go out to your family and his. That would be very unsettling to learn. Clarabelle here they have done away with the health department being able to create mandates. So instead of a board of people being able to vote and decide what is best it is now just the mayor. He can seek advice from the health department, but watching some of the meetings they did on zoom I doubt he will seek their advice. Every single vote they did about continuing mask mandates or keeping places at reduced capacity or hour he voted no, while all the medical personnel voted yes. Sigh. I can't help but wonder if we will see an upsurge in numbers again. I just hope enough people are getting vaccinated and that that will help slow things down. But I am afraid you are right ... covid isn't going away any time soon. *Climbs off soap box and goes for seconds. *

Mommy just got back from getting her first COVID vaccine. It didn't hurt. She feel's ok so far. I hope this doesn't make her feel sick later on.
She found out more bad news this morning. She decided to look up another former friend. She found out that he had been murdered in 2019 in some kind of drug deal gone wrong. This one was no shocker. This was the jerk who busted up the relationship between Mommy & the guy who took his life. This jerk also stole Mommy's purse once. She had him arrested. He got 3 years probation with some guidelines in which she already knows he failed to meet, so that means he had to do 3 years in jail. That clearly taught him nothing. This guy was so hopelessly hooked that he was a totally self-centered jerk. He would just purposely hurt others to get what he wanted & I think he actually found it amusing. Finding out about him being dead wasn't really upsetting, but she was sure upset to find out about the ex. The ex was never bad to her. It couldn't have worked for alot of reasons, but this guy was a big part of it! It's just such a shame. These guys were only 30 & 35 years old. What a waste!
For the record, even though Mommy used to be around alot of negative people, she never did do drugs. Smoking & drinking-yes, but not drugs. She doesn't smoke or drink anymore & hasn't for a while. She wants NO part of any of that!

Drugz r nuthin' ta mess wif!~ Mommy nefur did drugz, but did smoke da funny stuff at an earlier age, all done now. Pippi our gov. lifted da mask mandate a'so, but mommy 'n pa still when dey goez out, wearz a face mask. Mommy izn't vacinated yet, but soon. Pa a'ready had hiz two. He on'y complained bout his shoulder hrutin' a few dayz on bof sidez. Twinkle hopin' ur mommy doezn't get sick from any o' 'em. Purrz her feelin ' better! Yeah, well Clarabelle , dey really don'tz know how lon' Pa will be dere, jus' dependz on how da srurgery goez 'n it cud take up to 10 hourz, mush like it did da last time. Dat iz so kewl how lon' ur mommy'z been at da Librariez! No wonner fur lubbz ta read, or did her take dem jobz coz her lubbz to read? Mommy'z last job wuz her fav werkin' at an animal international company. Dey had storez all roun' 'n sol' to Veterinarians and Farm folks. Mommy was in Accts Payable. In 2013 dey merged, so mommy wuz laid off, but da severance pay wuz excellent, 'n not efuryone got near as mush as mommy did (coz her boss a'wayz raved about her!). Da end o' dat year iz when Mommy 'n me moofed in wif Pa down in S. Texas. I learned a bunch down dere, 'n seen lotz; cows, horses, goats, rams, road runners, chickens, owls, grackles (ugh mommy did not like dem, dey wuz mean!). We haz c rows here, but no grackles.
It'z mush warmer taday gettin' up to 62*.

Oh my, I think I'm going to start with a scone!!! Those look yummy!!  pa's surgery goes well! DALLAS 16 years is impressive too. We know mommy had to retire to take care of daddy and how hard that have been! willy nice bone!! Pippi our governor lifted the mandate, but some governors didn't! Mommy loves in Phoenix where we still have one, but works in Glendale where we don't! It is so frustrating hire short sited people are! Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) we are sorry to hear about another "friend." 30 IS young!! Hugs! Our mommy has smoked grass a few times and sees nothing wrong with it, but doesn't like it, so never got to where she used it. Other drugs, no way! |

Pooks hope you enjoyed your birthday and hoping Lady Bird gets rehomed soon so you can be able to roam without problems Pippi we agree with how you feel about the health deparmtnet |

You've outdone yourself again Milo! Gosh, I am so full! I did try pot once with this "friend", but that was it. I've never done anything else nor have ever wanted to try. I know where that crap leads you. I don't considered trying something only once "doing drugs." I won't be looking up anyone else. I don't need anymore shocking news right now.

Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) hope your mom will have no trouble with the vaccinations. And Milo Blue Eyes my mom still wears a mask when she goes out as well. Thankfully a lot of people here still seem to be wearing them. Milo I hope Pa will have good weather when he makes the drive to the hospital. I sure wish it was closer to home. I think we are getting into the low 60s today after a chilly start. We had another freeze warning last night. This is our kind of weather. Not too hot and not too cold. Enough chit chat. I'm eyeballing all that good food. Thanks Milo Blue Eyes and willy ! May I have one of everything please and thank you.

willy thank you very much!! Milo Blue Eyes thank you for the great foods!! Mommy tried pot one time and it didn't do anything for her at all. She smoked reg. cigarettes for 1 week in her life and just couldn't breath. So she stopped that waste of money. News on Lady - Well yesterday was the last straw. Mommy called Mary the woman that runs the rescue. That women wanted to argue and mommy told her that me(Pooks) has lived here for nearly 15 years (this July 21st) and she just couldn't do this any more. Lady had lots of problems aggression and anxiety and health issues and she had slowed down to the point we think the heart worms were getting her. Mary wouldn't spend any more money on her for checking and helping her ears and many warts/moles till she passed all heart worm treatments. So Lady's first foster mom( Diane) called my mom. They talked and agreed Lady should have been put down at first. It was like something was going wrong in Lady's brain. She was acting different. So Diane came over a little after 3:30 in the afternoon. Mommy helped her put the crate, blankets and a bag of dog food in Dianes car. Mommy walked Lady out to her. Lady was happy to see Diane and just wanted to go. So she was to be put asleep this morning. Mommy did  her and told her better things (Heaven) was ahead for her. Lady should have been examined better and test's done but Mary's rescue doesn't have money. There was something going wrong in Lady. We knew it but Mary wouldn't listen. Mary runs the rescue out of her home and she has 9 dogs in there. She needs more help then she even realizes. The dog should have been put down to begin with. God bless her precious soul. Thank you for all the support.

@pookah So sorry about Lady! I guess she was ready to go, hope so anyway. Now she can run free with me & all her other friends. A better place awaits all of those still living. We will all be together again one day.

Daisy & Josey oh, we are so sorry!! Poor Lady Bird! But you did what you could for her, she just was not getting better. We are glad she had a happy ending to her life, thanks to you. Twinkle (My Sweet Angel) we hope your mommy is feeling stronger today! Glad she will have an easier day at work tomorrow! willy, those petit fours look SO yummy!! Thank you for bringing them!! Pippi. we are getting down to the 70s early next week and MAY get a little rain!! Yay!!!

Oh Daisy & Josey I'm so very sorry to hear about Lady Bird. I know so many rescues struggle with having enough money to cover all their expenses and have to watch their costs. I surely wish there was never a need for rescues or that they had unlimited funds. I wish they could have afforded to have other things checked before putting her down. Hopefully things at your house will settle back down to normal quickly now. |
