TheWildOnes I'm sorry they are short staffed at the library. And hope no one else gets sick.  Does mommy's boss have the virus or just possibly have it and being cautious? Numbers have really been going up here. Mmmm. Indian food sounds really good to me. Thanks TheWildOnes ! * Starts filling three plates and finds a seat by the a/c. *

Hi everyone!! Oh Milo Blue Eyes , we sure hope mommy can get a good night's sleep!! That sure would help with her not feeling good!! Hmmmm, any peach cobbler left? That sure looks good!! Pippi , mommy's boss' husband was exhibiting symptoms so he got tested. She is self quarantining until he gets the results. Daisy & Josey , we are glad you can come and partake of all our yummy food! Oh wow!! Look at all the different pizzas!! How fun! Can we try one of each? We hope you all have a fantastic Independence Day!! |

Milo Blue Eyes we know what you mean about the humidity. Gosh it just takes a lot out of you. Hope your pawrents don't have to go out for anything today and can just stay cool and comfy. And I hope Pa is feeling better today. Mom got out and did just a little in the yard yesterday and today - about 45 minutes each day. Ugh on the humidity! We supervised from inside the a/c. hehe TheWildOnes I hope neither the boss nor her husband have the virus, but glad she is being safe rather than sorry. Mmmmm pizza. Thanks Milo Blue Eyes ! * Gets in line behind TheWildOnes with 3 plates in hand. *

Just curious ... do you have a favorite food or tradition for celebrating the 4th of July? Mom says she tends to think of grilled burgers and hot dogs, corn on the cob and watermelon. I say all that and more. hehe

Milo Blue Eyes boy we get having to go downstairs. Our house was build before a/c, and it was added some time after the fact. The upstairs in our house ... the a/c just doesn't cut it. We have a window unit going in our bedroom to help out, but even with that the best we can usually do (now that our oak tree and it's shade is gone) is about 76 degrees. That is with the window a/c set at 68. The whole house unit is set closer to 72 and downstairs in the house isn't too bad. The upstairs doesn't have an air return and we think that is a big part of the problem. There is one half way up the stairs and once you get back there it just tends to be stuffy. I'm so glad you brought kabobs. Mom almost forgot she had stuff in the fridge to make some. Guess what we're having for dinner tonight. Hehe. * Grabs a few plates and hits the food. *  Milo! It all looks so good.

Pippi ya knowz whena we libbed ina country in South Texas, we had a 4 bedroom mobile home'n we had two window unitz. OMCness it got sizzlin' HOT dere 'n da window unit mommy wud crank it down but it wud prob'y reach whar ya'llz do roun' 76 but not until roun' 3 AM! Me memmer it wuz still like 107* at 10oclock! Ugh'n me gripez boutit bein' 88* here like it iz now. But, dere izn't efen a slight breeze 'n da humiditiez r way up still roun' 70.Ugh.

Ooh my, Milo Blue Eyes that all looks so yummy! Thank you! When mommy first bought her house, she only had a swamp cooler! She finally got an a/c unit about 15 years after she moved in. Why the hell did she wait so long?  She had a window unit in her bedroom so she could sleep asset night. So she understands your pain Pippi and Milo Blue Eyes! Milo Blue Eyes oh my on nothing but window units in TX. That sounds miserable. I wish we could have a dryer heat like TheWildOnes , but just not that hot a heat. hehe. That humidity really makes a difference. We had lower than normal humidity this spring it seemed like and it was so much nicer. But we're back to our normal thick, sticky air. Swamp cooler? I'm going to have to look that up. I'm not really familiar with that TheWildOnes . As for why your mom waited so long ... I'm going with my standard brain melt theory. BOL Your temps out there have to be hot enough to melt brains. hehe Breakfast for dinner looks great Milo. Thanks for spoiling us. * Gabs a plate and digs in. *
