Anick, the necklace you made for Dee is stunning! How long does it take to do something like that?

I agree about the necklace. It is stunning! I know, I'dlove to have that little dog, but I'm in no shape to walk a dog. And Foofy would be heartbroken. She likes being number 1 now. Glad to hear Buddy is better! Yeah, I probably should start voting by mail. Well, it wasn't a close election, so my vote wouldn't have mattered. Good question, Leslie! Have a great day everyone!

Dee, that necklace is from freddie Bear's Mom, we both do those kind of necklaces.
No news about the postal strike, they say that negotiations are still going on and service is as usual. I doubt the service as usual, my order as not moved for a whole week now, Canada post is still not accepting it so it is still in Denmark.

Good morning Happy Thursday Anick so you make those beaded necklaces too what talent between making jewelry and doing sledding, bikejoring and many other things. Sorry no more news about the postal strike hoping it ends quickly Deb it is a good choice with your health to vote by mail they now have a website you can check to make sure your vote by mail got there. Leslie I was wondering the same thing. I like it is so lightweight you don't even feel it on you and it is a magnetic clip so no problems with trying to hook it. Diane so glad Buddy seems better today Lisa so sorry you are not having a happy day hope things improve for you Carol glad your place had a great turn out for the election our clubhouse was pretty busy too. We shall see if it is meant for me to get that dog just hope not scammer. I have not sent in any money they suggest to make sure not scammer do not pay till you are getting the dog as the adoption fee goes to the owner who is rehoming her. My happy I have to go to clubhouse for chair yoga, zumba, cardio drumming and quilting. The board approved me asking residents if they would be interested in travelers group mommy needs to call bus company ask a lot of questions so she can figure out what the price would be to attend the dinner and play. Hugs Dee, Dallas and Belle

I've just quickly scanned a couple of pages here. So I can't even pretend to know much of what is going on with anyone. Dee, that puppy is a cutie pie and I hope she will get to join your family, and fits in nicely with Dallas and Belle right from the start. I'm trying to remember, you've had 2 Schnauzers before? That is not a breed I have been around much. Before I got Dakota I had gone to meet a bonded pair of dogs at my local shelter and one was a Schnauzer I believe. Both dogs were sweet, but one was not sure about Pippi and kept charging at her growling, and since Pippi was already pretty well blind I was not sure how it would go. I suspect in time everyone would have been fine, but I didn't want to risk it. I'll also add that was a lovely necklace. Can't remember who asked, maybe Leslie, but I was curious about the amount of time that went into it as well. I'd also be curious to know if it's made around a tube or some sort of form. Inquiring minds want to know. hehe Anick and Diane, I hope the postal negotiations will go well and they can get things back to normal. So frustrating to be in limbo over packages. Grrr. Recently in this area they were having a lot of trouble with people mailing payments for bills that were never getting there. They were encouraging people to not put checks in the mail from their mail box at their house and not even the ones out front at the post office, but to go inside and wait in line and hand it to someone to mail it. I believe they eventually found some postal workers were the ones stealing the checks. Speaking of mail, a friend sent me a DNA for Willow. Got her sample and got it out in the mail yesterday. So hopefully in 2 or 3 weeks I will have results. A lot of my friends have had fun guessing what her results will be. She was naughty about other dogs in the park today and they were guessing she might be part velociraptor. There are days I would not be surprised to see that in the results. hehe. It's been warm here - in the 80s - and the humidity is back up. This morning it felt more like late summer than fall. I am so ready for fall. Heck, I would even take some snow right now. Time for some cooler weather!! Diane, I hope Buddy is still mostly having good days. And I hope the next several will be really good ones for him. Let's see. I certainly need to get back into the habit of thinking of something happy for the day. Too many days that I am letting too many little things bother me. Time to change my thinking again. I have three small happy things for today. 1. The gift of the DNA . It won't make a bit of difference to me what breeds Willow is, but it's been fun trying to guess and I have been curious. I couldn't justify the cost for curiosity though. So the was a nice surprise and has sparked some fun. 2. Getting out for a walk. I have missed so many walks lately. A combination of giving a broken pinky toe a little more time to heal and waiting endlessly for people that were supposed to be showing up and doing some things in the back yard. They have finally come and gone and I am able to get out for dogs walks without fear of missing them now. I probably over did it (ended up going over 5.5 miles today - wasn't my intention), but it was nice to be free to come and go and get out and move. 3. Arnica gel. I had never heard of this until yesterday. My neighbor had actually recommended arnica cream rather than gel, but gel was all I could find. They said it was good for pain, swelling, bruising, etc. Said I should have had it sooner when I first broke my toe. I have still been having some mild pain and swelling and have been irritating my ankle the way I am walking to protect the toe. Picked up the arnica gel yesterday and have used it on my foot and ankle and have felt some relief. I hope everyone is able to find some bright spots in their day today.

My uncle had a Schnauzer, but my aunt called him a "sooner", Laura. He'd sooner go on the floor before going out on the grass. Gee, I hope the postal strike in Canada is resolved soon. I'd hate for Santa not to get the gifts sent that he doesn't deliver by sleigh to (or for) you two, Diane and Anick! I'm happy I got more croissants for my breakfast today. And tomorrow a DirecTV tech will be out to correct a problem I have with reception.

Good morning Happy Friday Deb I hope the Direct TV guy can get your reception fixed. Was someone able to come and help you get Foofy to vet for nail trim. Your uncle schnauzer sounds like Belle she won't go outside at all but I have gotten her to quit going on my floor and to do it on pee pad in the kitchen. I use the washable pee pads this way no chewing to get sick. Laura I have no idea how long it takes to make the beaded necklace a friend from Tanner Brigade made it for me. I think Anick said she does them too so she should be able to tell how long to do it. But it is beautiful I have gotten so many compliments someone thought it was material twisted I said no beads took it off and let her look at it she was amazed said it was beautiful. I don't have talent to do the beaded necklaces with my shaking the beads would be all over the floor. I am so happy you got a DNA gift anxious to see Willow dna results I know you will love her no matter what she has. I was amazed when I got Belle dna. She has some large dog breeds in her and some mean ones too. But she is so much into cuddling at night and learning to bring her toys to me but doesn't let go not yet learned to let go so I can throw it and she can fetch and bring it back to me. I hope the gel is helping your broken too and glad the yard area was cleaned up so you could walk the dogs. I fully understand not taking the risk if that dog growled at Pippi. I am not sure if it is a scam as a 4 month old schnauzer are expensive and they only asking an adoption fee of $100. The Adopt a Pet gave them my name and email and phone number said if I don't hear from them in 14 days to keep looking but if I do hear make sure meet at a dog place and bring my pets to see how they react and never exchange money till they are there to turn dog over to you with the money. So far I haven't heard anything. Frankly Adopt a Pet last time I checked there was when I got Belle have not been looking at all but that email came in my box with the picture of the dog and I just could not resist since no money out front. It is hard to find a female schnauzer I was looking before I got Belle and her ad said small female schnauzer but when I went there I knew she was not a schnauzer but wasn't driving 2 hours coming home empty handed. Carol hoping you enjoy your sunny day we are always glad when we hear Buddy is doing good. My happy going to exercise at clubhouse at 9 then to Healthy One with friends to play volleyball at 10. My girlfriend and her husband called me from Omaha last night to ask for prayers for her husband who is having an injection in his back on Monday to pray it works otherwise he will have to have back surgery so I told her will keep the injection works. I also saw on Facebook from the daughter in law of a firend in Dogster Sandy Brenner who died several years back and a few years ago her dog Krickette died and her husband got dementia and her husband passed away last night in his sleep. When she posted pictures of her husband and her visiting him made me think so much of Ward/ Now Wayne is with Sandy and Krickette in heaven. Hugs, Dee, Dallas and Belle

Best wishes Dee! Well, I messed up on both DirectV and phone. I thought today was Thursday, so I overslept and really didn't get anything done, think I missed Direct. I haven't got a written record or explanation from the vet about my bill. I think I should know what I'm being charged for. So, I'll work on getting Foofy in to a vet, a new or past one for her nail trims. Next, I have to start getting up earlier.

Laura, for a time I was sure Willy was part velociraptor too! Arnica gel or creme is very popular here, some people with chronic pain say it work better.
Post Canada say they are still in negotiation and things are running as usual but some workers are doing some pressure by doing half of their work and look like my packages have fallen victim to that. I did pay for the 4 to 8 days delivery, that means the packages are supposed to come by airmail but someone as decide that, last week, all mail for Canada post was going on a boat instead of planes no matter what kind of shipping you did pay for. Now Canada post say they have no record of what boat the mail container is on, a way to say they lost it, they are searching for it but if they don't find it my packages might get here only in the end of January.
