I was heading out this morning to go pick up a refill for Cheeky. Saw the neighbor who wants to infect everyone with covid and her kids walking up the street. I stopped to say hi on my way by and the conversation turned to the virus. She said several times that kids don't get it and can't spread it. I told her about the daycare near you, Anick. Her reply was that the adults working there had to be the ones to spread it to everyone not the kids. I pointed out that some of the children had symptoms, but she is sure that is something else. She told me her father is a physician and current research shows kids don't spread it. Sigh. The state of TN has information on their web site with numbers of cases broken down by 10 year age ranges. I wanted to ask her about the 5258 cases and 3 deaths they have listed for 0-10 year olds. Or the 12,625 cases and 1 death they have listed for 11-20 year olds. I didn't bother to ask her though. And now I need to go find some lunch. I was over in the cafe and that always makes me hungry! hehe

I would be curious to know what my neighbor's dad says about kids getting and spreading the virus. She mentioned he was a physician. I choose to believe that kids can and do get this and can and do spread it. I really just don't understand my neighbor's thinking. (But that is nothing new. hehe) Looks like I kind of ran all the names together when I was tagging people. Tag anyone else you can think of. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Anyone of any age can catch any virus and pass it on. Your neighbor is something!! I think people should also be more cautious when its flu season. This shows how nasty and dirty people are. Germ wise and also how hateful people can be. Its like when you put kids on the school buses there are so many germs from everywhere. I just want this year over and next year be kinder. I agree Carol! And I sure hope next year is better. Better because people are more aware and better because we finally have a vaccine and better ways to treat this if someone does get it. And it would really be nice if it was better because people thought of someone besides themselves, but I'm not holding my breath for that one. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hi all! Laura Pippi, I didn't get an e-mail from the tag in here, like I normally do. But I saw the link in the Malt Shoppe. I'll tag rosco just in case Donna can find the time to pop in. She has to ration her computer time because the library is on reduced hours. 2020 really has turned into some year, hasn't it? It should have been fun, ๐ 2020! ๐ All the crises coming at once seem to be bringing out the worst in people. But they're bringing out some good as well. I'm hoping our national tantrum will burn itself out soon, and we can all get back to what it used to mean to be Americans. (Anick willy, I'm glad Canadians are behaving like a civilization. It gives one hope!) ~Marty

ood morning everyone Happy Thursday Laura thanks for the link bringing us here I saw it in the Bark Thread Laura I think your neighbor daughter of a physician thinks she knows everything and is correct I say the virus can be spread by everyone even kids and kids get it when it first came out they said bad for children and elderly and those with bad health Lisa I believe people should be concerned with others and taking precautions Carol I agree with you Hershey year 2020 bad with virus but mommy's worse year was 2019 when she had to put daddy in the nursing home and put down Sabrina and Abigale June Leslie are you here how is Toby doing Anick how is Willy and Teddy Well a bit of excitement in Kentucky this past weekend as Jerry's mom was taken to hospital from her nursing home she had an infection where the nursing home did a biopsy on a cyst on her head and did not take care of it properly and did not help she was filthy and no baths their excuse virus however the doctor at the hospital saw differently if you can't get a shower to hand bath them said the nursing home shows neglect in taking care of patients told Jerry not to return her to that nursing home and gave him a list of homes that takes her insurance she was bruised all over they told Jerry she fell. Jerry took pictures of his mother as the Elderly Care advocate told him they have a case against the nursing home for neglect and because of this since the same company owns the nursing home Ward is in I was really worried about him so yesterday I called them explained what happened to Jerry's mom and was concerned for Ward they said he was fine but I told them I want an appointment I want to see my husband in person. She told me we could come on Monday at 11 but I would have to go to front door first sign in tell them who I want to visit and make sure I wear a mask and then go back to my car drive around to back of the building there is a table set up with plexiglass make sure I stand 6 feet and do not touch him. Jerry is coming with me she said allowed 2 visitors only. It has been a very long time last time I saw him was March 13 and now I get to see him on August 10 Hugs Dee & Tori

Dee, that's excellent that you can go see Ward at last. They sure make it complicated, but that's a sign they're taking precautions. I hope you'll find him looking well. ~Marty

This virus could have been a good opportunity for collaboration between countries to exchange research and knowledge but it turn out having countries forming some kind of clans not believing what others did find out and that is one of the thing that help make things worst . Here, inside the country, we did see a collaboration we did not think we could see between provinces, even if you don't see it on the news we too have our little inside wars, but it look like when in time of crisis the elected people are able to put that aside.
Here they are starting to think that kids could be what they call super spreaders, they are with the regular flu so it makes sense that they do the same with this virus. They don't get very sick for now but when a kid gets it everyone in the house get it.
Dee, it is so good you can finally see Ward, it as been so long since you did see him.
My Husband is starting his 3 weeks vacation this afternoon, we are not going anywhere but we have lots of work around the house. I got to redo all my front yard because of the sewer job that was done last September, I finally got some new grass yesterday and now I got to fix the alley and try to redo my giant flowerbed, that part will take time because of all the plants I got to buy back to put in there. We will also go play with Willy at the agility club a little more than usual, that little tornado as so much energy!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Anick that is good that your vacation time will be doing things around the house and enjoying agility more with Willy I like that you call him the little tornado. Marty you are right they try to be cautious and his nursing home in town was the only one that only had 4 virus cases everyone else had more. Yes, Lisa he wants to make sure his dad not treated like his mom. He signed the papers the other day his mom is now in the nursing home in Cold Spring I called him to tell him to check with her nursing home as I got a letter from Wards nursing home they have open visitation outside only since August 3. Laura for opening this thread back up. I am on row 40 now on my shawl 7 more rows will be doing the edging Hugs Dee & Tori

All kids catch and spread things. People that don't believe that are nuts! I have caught more colds from the 3 Grandsons than I have ever before they were born. But they at home have to be better about cleanliness also. In the evenings I do and wipe through the kitchen and door handles and door and cupboard handles and the kitchen table. Also when I see my daughter or the kids I tell her lets visit outside. I don't like being sick and my hubby can't get sick either. Tracy(daughter) has told her hubby Brian to just stop looking for a job, it wasn't working out anyway, and to stay home to help all 3 boys with the ELearning. They did get good at it when the schools closed . They plan to continue ELearning even when schools open this Sept. Coal has his puter from school but Parker and Evan are waiting on theirs because kids from last school year haven't turned them in. Carol, Molly & Pooks

Good afternoon ladies,
Anick, I agree! There should be collaboration among ALL people! We are the HUMAN race. Cute nickname for Willy!!!
Marty, you're right! The more hoops to jump through, the more thorough the presautions are!!
Dee, is Cold Spring owned by a different company? Interesting that Ward's nursing home only had 4 cases, but the other one who owns both places was so neglectful!
Carol, I bet it is just easier for Tracy to know that there will be someone to watch the boys and make sure they are learning!!
Chuck is going to South Dakota to visit his mom for a couple weeks. We was supposed to leave yesterday, but now he thinks he will leave Sunday. I made him promise to wear his mask, even though they are not as infected as we are!
