TheWildOnes welperz we did sum studyin' up 'n guessin' da Hot Brown got it'z name from da Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY. It wuz founded in 1926 by Chef Fred Schmidt dere whar him cooked fur da nitely crowd o' dancerz 'n drinkerz 'n one nite him didn't haz da regular ham 'n eggz on han'..so him concocted dis version o' sliced turkey, mater 'n mornay sauce wif two slicez o' bacon on top. Dere haz been many variationz on down da line since 1926 o' da hot brown, but da Brown Hotel still servez da original. Now a book author wrote dat da mater mite haz really been pimentos. Either way, mommy shur wud lubbz to try it. Oh n da Mornay sauce iz jus' a basic white sauce roux wif cheese in it, still soundz pawmazin'?

TheWildOnes mom can remember some nice state parks in IN when she was a kid. Seems like one had some big rock formation and one trail went down between them. Heck, we figure every state has some pretty spots and neat things to see. Mom lived in IN a few different times in her life and would just enjoy going back to see some of the places again. Mom would love to have the time and money to just travel from state to state staying in cabins and doing some easy hiking and enjoying photography and such.

Angels Hershey & Winkie my mom is envious of your parents ... and not for the weather this time. hehe. Scotland is high on her list of places she would like to go. Ireland is up there, too, but if mom could only take one trip it would probably be a toss up between Scotland and Alaska. But so many places she would like to go ... she would love to see a lot more of Canada, Iceland, Greenland. Hmmm. Mostly northern places it seems. hehe.

Somebody posted it on the FB page , I Remember Growing Up In Goshen. They have returned angle parking on Main St. like when mommy was little. There are many things to see throughout the whole state.
