Hi everyone! Laura, you are so right about there still being progress, but at what cost? Computers are awesome, but with social media comes cyber bullying! And with cell phones, comes d*** pix! People think it is okay to be rude and it makes me sick. I just had a guy yell at me on the phone here at the library because we are not open completely. Said the governor has his head up his a** because masks don't help! He was very rude and ruined my day! Dee, you have a beautiful smile, too, and I know it breaks your not seeing Ward's any more! Glad he was in good shape, at least. Anick, I know peeps are making a lot of progress with anti-bullying programs. I just wish there was a way to make it even more successful!1 Carol, sorry Parker didn't get his computer! I wish we had money for our schools. Don't people realize that is much more important than professional sports!!

ood morning everyone Happy Wednesday Anick I agree with you about how senseless humans are becoming preferring to insult and be rude and thinking education is not worth anything to think it is brainwashing. Laura Thank you for the compliments about our in my graduation picture. Well I got my housework completed yesterday. Good luck in finding mouse proof containers I had mice chew through those tough tupperware canisters and plastic containers I had cereal in. Lisa how are things coming in your household did you see if Ranger did a good solid poop Marty how are you doing Carol I think the school should be calling people who have not turned in their computer now it puts Parker behind because he doesn't have a computer and classes started yesterday They should be stricter on getting computers back now it could be someone who moved away and took the computer with them. Well I got ahold of the nursing home social worker she has me scheduled for every Monday at 11 to visit Ward next week instead of trying to go in the front like they told me as they just came to the door told me to go to back I will just park in the back walk up by Wards window peak in to see if I can see him then call them to let them know I am out back for them to bring Ward out for visitation. Today going to call and see if I can talk to the nurse and check to make sure he doesn't have bed sores Mommy is sending the shawl to her sister in New Jersey with the butterfly pin since she paid for Sabrina and AJ vet bills

Lisa, sorry about the jerk that was rude on the phone. Just not called for. Dee, I hear you about trouble with mouse proof containers. I got some glass canisters today. I was amazed in the past what they chewed through. I'm really hoping with the cats it won't be a problem again, but I still like to do what I can to make it less likely. That is wonderful that you have regular visits with Ward set up now. Even if he can't express it I'll bet somewhere deep down he knows you are there and is glad to see you. Sounds like a good idea to call and ask about bed sores. Won't hurt for them to check. Does your sister know she is getting the shawl and pin? If not what a great surprise that will be for her. Even if she does know, that will be such a nice gift. I have been hungry all day today. Seems like no matter what I eat I still want something else. Hate days like that.

Good afternoon ladies!
Yes, that WAS uncalled for! It's not like *I* can do anything! I asked him what *I* could do for him! He wanted to talk to the governor. I offered to transfer him to the director of the library!
Dee, that is such a special gift you are sending your sister! I know she will be so pleased!!
Laura, I know what you mean about wanting to eat! I took today off from work and that seems to make it worse! I'm really craving something sweet!!

ood morning everyone Happy Thursday In a way I am glad I don't work to have to listen to rude people yell and cuss you out for something you have no control over. Lisa that was terrible maybe you should have gone ahead and transferred him to the governor's office and let them deal with him. Laura yes with cats you should have no problem with mice. My tiffany used to run to the cabinet door first thing in the morning as during the night she heard the mouse trap go off that we had under there. We figured they came up through where the pipes were Laura I did call my sister wanted to make sure she would wear it otherwise I would have sent it to someone else to have and wear. She goes more places than I do she said it looked beautiful in the picture. I told her she should get it Saturday the latest and possible on Friday Lisa when I called the nurse she said Ward did not have bed sores just uncomfortable in the jersey chair and I asked why he wasn't in a wheelchair she said patients that are unable to sit in a wheelchair they put in Jersey chairs. I am glad I can go weekly to see him this way I know they will have to make sure he is clean on this visits. Carol have they found a computer for Parker yet. Anick how is the training going for Willy, have you started on your shawl yet or are you still waiting for the yarn to arrive Leslie how are things coming with your afghan I started a baby blanket last night from the book I have called Knitting sweet things for baby. One blanket I liked called for a size 10 needle but when I was trying to do it that needle to large could not work with it so found another blanket using size 6 needle which I like better

I am having mouse problems too, it did start a few years ago when my street did start to look like a construction zone. Each time they take down an old house a of mouse hit at night. We did find out where they got inside our home and we are using a catch and release trap, we "deport" them in a giant park on the other side of town. Too many people are like that jerk who did call the library. On FB I have many 'friends' because of a game that I play but I have to delete and block some of them every day because of the way they insult all those who are not thinking the way they do, they act like little brats. I did get my wool and I have started back the work on the shawl but with Marc's vacation I don't have much time to work on it but it should be finish for the fall....I hope!

Lisa when the guy on the phone said he wanted to talk to the governor did you want to ask him why he didn't call him instead of the library then? hehe Sheesh, some people. I think I wanted something chocolate yesterday and since I didn't have anything in the house I kept eating other things hoping it would satisfy me. It didn't. Dee that was smart to ask your sister if she would use the shawl. It would be a shame to put the work into it and not have it used. I'm sure she will enjoy it. Was Ward's move to a Jersey chair something recent? Hope he will settle into it and find it more comfortable. You are right, your weekly visits will help to ensure he is clean and well cared for. Hopefully that has been going on all along, but it's always nice to know for sure. I don't know what made the mice move in here a few years back but a pest they were. When I found they were eating wiring on things I declared war. I was afraid there would be fire hazards. Thankfully I have not seen any signs of return for a few years now although the other day the cats were acting like they were hearing something in the walls. fingers it was my imagination ... or theirs. hehe Last fall family was in town for Thanksgiving and we were taking a walk in my parents' neighborhood. I was surprised when one member of the family made the comment that we should burn someone's house down because of the political signs in the yard - they didn't agree with that person's choices. Now I know she would never do such a thing, but I was shocked at even hearing the comment and thought how do people get to that point with politics? You don't have to agree with someone else's choice, but one of the nice things about this country is we do have choices. I got off to a good start this morning but then have lost steam. I have a list a mile long of things I should be doing but thinking a nap sounds good. Sigh. No time for that, but would be nice. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good afternoon ladies!
Anick, we can't wait to see your shawl. I bet it is beautiful!!! I am so disheartened by some of my friends ugly comments! And they KNOW my political views. I'm okay with them disagreeing, but when they say hateful things about democrats in general, it really hurts.
Laura, I don't know why some people think saying things like that is funny. Because it isn't!!
Dee, so glad you get to check up on Ward! It will be better for him. Will Jerry visit him regularly?
Carol, I know you and I have political disagreements, but I know you are a kind person and you know I am a kind person. So why can't we all just get along?
And another thing that really bugs me is when people post things that are UNTRUE! Do your homework, please!!
Okay, getting off my soapbox now.

ood morning everyone Happy Friday Anick be sure to post pictures of the shawl when finished. I understand not being able to work on it when hubby home on vacation. Laura those mice can be a pain we lived with woods behind us and they came up through the plumbing in the kitchen. When I first moved in with Ward he used decon to get rid of the mice a big big mistake as it went into the walls in the bedroom and stunk for a month what a smell. Then he started using mouse traps Lisa sorry people make the rude remarks and think people should think like and everyone else opinion is wrong Carol I hope that Parker finally got his computer for school Toby how is mommy coming along with her afghan. I saw where looters broke into the McDonald House in Chicago which is really bad all those children and families going through a sickness to have them bust in there and lucky no one was hurt physically but how frightened they must have all been to see all that hatred busting the place apart. Goes to show the looters only care for themselves and no one else. Lisa Jerry said he would come with me on Mondays it saves him gas with him losing his job. He came last night to cut my grass and today they are dropping off Chloe as they are going to Cave Run for the weekend.

TheWildOnes Lisa I sure don't know what you are talking about. You and I have never political disagreements here or at FB. I know we both are nice people and we do get along here and at FB. I don't talk or post anything political anywhere! You must have me mixed up with someone else. That hurts my feelings kinda. I am a good person and don't make trouble or post anything untrue anywhere! Carol and Molly and Pooks

(Facebook jail is a joke! They are SO inconsistent!!) I had messages that I anonymously reported two ads! I NEVER reported any ads or anything else for that matter!! Love you too, and all our Pupster pals!! DALLAS, we agree the looters and rioters are bad! But it is our constitutional right to peaceful protest and so many people confuse the two!! (Or is that three? Hee hee!)

Dee I'm glad Jerry wants to see his dad and check up on him, too. I haven't had tv on in such a long time. I hadn't heard about the McDonald house in Chicago. I agree, that is terrible. Makes you wonder what people are thinking. Well, my dad surprised me today. I had called to run some brain storming by my parents. I have a window a/c unit in my bedroom (thank goodness) and I noticed that I was getting some water on one side of the window sill. So I went out on the roof to take a look thinking maybe I needed to clear the drain or something. No such luck. Looks like there is water in the bottom of the pan. The drain hole is on the side and the water has to reach a certain depth to get to that. When the fan blades go they pick up some of the water out of the bottom of the pan and fling it out the vents on the side. That is flinging it into the window sill. So my idea was maybe to look for one of those magnetic air vent deflector things to hopefully keep the water from the window sill. Dad decided he needed to come over and look. His opinion is the a/c is not draining as well as it should and I need a new one. They very kindly have bought me a new one. I feel funny about that because the old one still cools the room. So while I am having an issue with the water, it does still work. Anyway, new one has been bought. Mom and dad are coming back to try and help me get the old one out and the new one in tomorrow morning. I really wish I had someone else to help me. I am so thankful for their help, but not sure either of them is up to it physically. When I put in the first one 12 years ago dad was able to help me. He was inside the house and I went out on the roof. The roof is steep. I'm happy to go out on the roof again, but whoever is inside needs to be able to lift the unit up to the window. Mom can't lift it. It is too heavy for her. Dad plans to come over and he wants to try this with both of us inside. Frankly I don't think he is steady enough to lift something that heavy any more. If we are both inside I can lift it, but when we installed the old one it was helpful to have someone outside to make sure it didn't tip too far and crash through the roof and then hit the ground. This is a second story window. So I have big concerns about how this is going to go tomorrow. We may get enough rain that it's not happening tomorrow. We will see. On a happier note, this was the first time my dad has been in my house since he fell and hurt himself in 2018. He has been to the driveway, but wouldn't get out of the car. And today he not only made it in the house but upstairs as well. And plans to do it again tomorrow. I really didn't think he would ever come in my house again. I've been busy shifting boxes around today to make room for dad to come look at the a/c unit. The one room looks better but the back bedroom looks like a disaster again. I wish timing had been different on this and I had been able to go through things and not just temporarily move them around, but sometimes you do what you have to do. The nice thing ... when I do get through everything my bedroom is going to look like a large room again. So perhaps that helps with the motivation to keep working on everything. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)
