Lisa, my heart hurts for you! Elections are like hurricanes. Unfortunately, we have no control over them. What we can do is take a page from Laura’s book and focus on the good things going on in our lives. You got a great promotion recently, right? And you have a boyfriend who loves you enough to help you with your car. Plus you have a fur family who adores you. Looking forward, you will be making Scrabble tile ornaments with your library group. Turn off the TV for a few days and allow yourself to feel the love around you! ❤️

Diane, how does slippery elm bark help Buddy’s condition? I hope it is helping him today. We’ll keep fingers and paws that he eats all his food today. 💕

Leslie, I gave him Cerenia to help with his vomiting a few days ago and he vomited 3 times that day. I started the Slippery Elm again after that and he has started eating again, and has not thrown up and his stomach isn't making the noises it was. I was told it coats the mucosa lining of certain organs. No vet would recommend this, they want Cerenia used, but a holistic store here suggested it.

Hmm, I wonder what human conditions it might help?

Leslie, supposedly it coats and soothes the mouth, throat, stomach, and intestines. It also contains antioxidants that help relieve inflammatory bowel conditions. I know someone that uses it when she has a sore throat and she says it works well.

Hmm, I hate sore throats. Maybe I’ll see if I can keep some on hand. (And then hope I remember to take it!😆)

I watch Deadline: White House in the afternoon, the Beat later, and then the NCIS shows. In the evening, I watch Chicago Hope. I get some other crime dramas later, if I'm still up. See, nice relaxing shows. Elections are like hurricanes???! Turning off the TV might help. I find it relaxing except seeing the big orange one. I made it to the dentist and she sent over a scrip to the pharmacy. Since it was dark and my gas was low, I just wanted to get home before I got lost or on empty. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Happy Wednesday Leslie yes it is the quilt our ladies worked on as a team if we do another someone will work on it by themselves no more team group things this way Mary cant be bossing us around. Diane I hope the Slippery Elm makes Buddy feel better we hate to hear he is not doing good. Sending lots of prayers. What kind of project are you thinking of starting Lisa it was fun and the guy that won the quilt thanked Bonnie for letting them draw again and was so happy he won said he will treasure it. We enjoy seeing someone so happy to get a quilt we made. I understand you being depressed about who won the election I am still in a state of shock that people could vote for him. I feel it is because they did not want a woman running the state. I have been reading where people leaving the US moving to Switzerland. Leslie has good advice turn off the news on tv just watch Hallmark I don't listen to any news too depressing. And like she said we have no control over the situation like weather bad things happen we have to live through it. Deb glad you made it to the dentist and to the pharmacy to get your scrips before it was dark and you got lost. My Happy I finished the 12 casserole hot pads for our kitchen but Pot Luck cancelled for November so won't give it to them till December hopefully will have 12 pot holders finished by December. In the meantime a friend paid me to do 2 sets of microwaveable bowls one with dogs the other with cats. I have them all cut out ready to sew after residents meeting today. Little nervous at today at residents meeting will ask residents if they want to get a Travelers Group together and go on Day trips and have the bus come to our subdivision to pick us up but have to have a commitment of 34 people for it to come to our subdivision to fill a small motorcoach. Hugs Dee, Dallas and Belle

Good afternoon everyone!!
I'm feeling a little better today. I'm still disappointed that half of the voters voted to put a rapist in the White House. They voted for the illusion of strength over morality. But enough of that. Our pets don't care and this is their site!!
Deb, I watch The Big Bang Theory, King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond, as well as Jeopardy, The Late Show and Last Week Tonight.
Dee that is great that the man who won really appreciated it! Makes you feel good! Sorry your group is disbanding though. One bad apple, huh? Your casserole hot pads look awesome!
Diane that slippery elm sounds like a life saver! I sure hope Buddy is still doing well!
Leslie, I bet it would help in many ways. It sounds very promising!! Thank you for your words of encouragement. It helps!
My happy today is that Chuck said he will go to the ER. (Stubborn a$$!)

Playing catch up ... as usual. Dee, I hope the injection helped your friends husband and he won't have to have back surgery. Is it something that should work quickly if it is going to? I'm also sorry to hear about the friend's husband who passed. I'm sorry that man's health made you think of Ward. Have you heard anything more about the puppy? I sure hope it's not a scam and meant to be. Deb, I hope your vet will be able to send you an accounting of your bill. Maybe a phone call to remind them or ask again that it be mailed to you would help. Anick, the arnica gel has helped, but I have also learned I need to make sure Dakota doesn't lick me after I put it on. She did and I think that is what made her sick for a day. Did you pay extra for 4-8 day delivery of your package? If so, can you at least get a refund or some money back for it taking so much longer? I hope you have your package now and won't really have to wait until the end of January. So frustrating! Carol, I get an itemized bill at my vets, too. And when I have made arrangements to pay over time I get a monthly statement showing what is still left to pay. Diane, I hate to hear you are still waiting on a package, too. And I hate to hear even more that Buddy had a very bad day. I hope he has had better ones since. Oh how I wish they could talk especially when they don't feel well. Deb, have you ever looked at mobile groomer for Foofy? Dee, the golfcart rodeo looks like it was fun for everyone. And I just looked closer and realized they are blindfolded! So one drives and the other tells them when to turn? Was there a lot of laughing during this event? You live in such a fun neighborhood. Leslie, we could use rain, too. Looks like we may get some tonight. I am wondering if my mom misheard the weather forecast. She said we should now be getting 1.7 inches tonight. I had been hearing maybe half an inch. Diane, snow? Oh wow. Is that fairly normal for you for this time of year? Now that I ask that I do have to remind myself it is November! It has felt more like late summer here lately. Dee, that was so nice of Bonnie to let them draw another name for the quilt. And a lovely quilt. A shame the one lady has ruined it for the group to be able to make another. Diane, I wonder if Slippery Elm would help Dakota. She tends to have a sensitive stomach. She was one Metronidazole for a long time and now she is on probiotics. They seem to keep things under control most of the time. I sure hope Buddy does well the rest of the week now. Lisa, oh dear. I hate to hear Chuck needs to go to the ER. I hope he will follow through. I'm sure I have missed things. Rushing through other posts. Quick update at my house. This morning Pippi was walking around - she doesn't get around well these days. Ran downstairs to start laundry and came back up to find her sitting on the floor. Helped her up and carried her downstairs. Realized she was not able to get up on her own and wasn't putting any weight on her back, right leg. Put warm towels on it and watched her for a bit. She napped nicely, let me move her leg and didn't seem bothered. Still later she was putting no weight on that leg. So I got her in to see the vet. Didn't get my favorite one, but my second favorite was available. I was thinking maybe Pip had tweaked her back (she has done that from time to time since her spinal injury). Turns out she has a small tear in her ACL. So upping the Rimadyl she takes and adding Gabapinten (sp?) and help her walk and have her take it easy. (She takes it pretty easy most of the time anyway.) With luck in about a week she will be ready to put some weight on the leg and can go back down on the Rimadyl. We'll see how things are going in a week or two. So, some fast happy things for today. * I'm lucky to have a vet that has always been able to work me in any time I have needed an appointment. * I'm glad this looks to be a small tear and sounds like the vet is pretty optimistic. * If one of my dogs needs help walking, well, I'm glad it's the light one and I'm not going to have to help support 50 lbs. hehe * I may get some rain tonight.

Great, Laura, that you have a cooperating vet, and that Pip seems to be improving. Hope she keeps it up. I agree about 50 lbs. I'm just switching vets. I hadn't thought of a mobile groomer, but I now need for a vet to look at her skin. I felt tiny bumps on it. I'm hoping it's nothing, but a good idea to be sure. So I'll go to the vet I had taken Foofy to before trying to go back to the old vet. They're new here and deserve my business, even though they don't have a tech willing to come out.

Diane, we are starting to have holistic vets around here and some vets are getting an holistic formation to have more options. The vet Willy saw when he had the foreign object in his belly as one of those formation and he did prescribe natural product to help Willy at the time.
People here say elections are looking like a pendulum swinging from left to right and so one going further with each swing. You can only hope the pendulum slowdown or all the gear will fall apart.
Laura, half my order did make it yesterday but I am afraid the other half will not make it before the strike that will start tonight.
Dee, that quilt is so lovely, they are such hard work! My next project kind of look like a quilt but done with crochet, it is a small blanket with fancy granny squares.

Good morning Happy Thursday Anick I have crocheted several blankets my nephew has one of my crocheted blankets before I started quilting. I have about 9 to drop off to hospice just haven't gotten around to it. I am sorry you did not get all your order I feel for those having Christmas packages to get out with this strike. We are all happy your holistic vet helped with Willy when he had that item stuck in his stomach Deb hope you can get Foofy to the vet and get those bumps checked out on her Laura so sorry that Pippi tore her ACL but glad you have a vee that gets you in pretty quickly and that she is a small pup and not a heavy dog. No I have not heard anything more on the puppy maybe they wanted a younger person to adopt since the puppy only 4 months old figure I would not live long being in my 70;s it was meant to be and I gave it a try. Lisa our quilters not disbanding as Mary the bossy one only comes in when she knows Karen Mims is in and we have a veterans quilt working as a team. We decided no more team projects people just work on their own thing. But Karin Feaghy who is in charge of crafts and quilters has been out the last few weeks pain in her legs and Tuesday sick to her stomach. Is Chuck's heart bothering him again or just a cold we pray he goes to the doctor. Yes the lection is a big disappointment but don't let it get the best of you we did what we could Diane I hope Buddy is doing better with the slippery elm Leslie how are you doing. Marty how are you doing My happy I won at $25 gift card at the resident's meeting yesterday they put numbers on the back of chairs and first number they called was my chair number they said proof. I picked up my chair took it to them to show them the number and everyone cracked up laughing. Then I stook up to get a raise of hands how many would be interested in a Day Trip with a bus picking us up that we had to have 34 or 56 to get a bus to come in to pick us up. There were a lot of raised hands. Now in December have to go to the board meeting and since a lot of people want the trip see if the treasurer can put the deposits down since Oak Run told me they work with the board treasurer and all checks made out to their Oak Run Home Owners Association so I have to call someone in Oak Run see how that works before residents meeting in December. I posted in our neighbors and face book that for those that did not attend the meeting we are starting a travelers group and need to know how many would do this. I hope we can attend the Coastal Suncoast Broadway Theater in Hudson Fl 2 hours from us on Saturday April 19 to see the play My Fair Lady which includes a meal for $64 Per person with a group now the bus rental is $1,058 for a 34 seated bus and if I divide that by 34 people each person is responsible for about $22 plus the $64 for the dinner. When we book the bus we have to put 50 percent down and $200 when we book the dinner that is why I want the treasurer to put that down for us then I can put up a sign up list with how much it is and for people to sign up and bring their check to Palm Cay HOA if approved. We have to prepay the tickets and book ahead of time just can't call the bus for weekend. I hope this can be a success Someone said bus is pricey we should find some other bus I told her that Oak Run has done all that leg work they found the bus we are going to use to be the cheapest others more expensive Hugs Dee, Dallas and Belle

Thanks for the hugs, Carol! I have gotten quite a few since the election!! Dee, I hope you get that going! It seems like something that would definitely be fun and worth it! Anick, I love my vet because she is more holistic than most!! I hope your strike ends soon!! Deb, I would think a mobile vet could look at her skin and tell you if you need to worry abut it. They are a little more expensive, but definitely worth it! Laura, hugs for Pippi!! Definitely agree about the 50 pound thing!!! My happy today is I am off tomorrow!! I just need to be able to sleep in!!
