Laura- If the employee would have went back & forth to the bathroom all day to fart, management wouldn't have liked that either. People would have still been in there & coming in behind him smelling the stink, so what else could he had done? I cannot even begin to imagine how embarrassing this is for him. If management forced me into the Conference Room to tell me people were complaining about smelling my gas, I would want the Earth to swallow me up.
I know that nobody here knows my ex, but I wanted you all to read his obituary. I think it describes him well. It's a shame. He always looked to everyone & everything else to make him happy. He had no clue how to help himself. He ran off to join the Air Force thinking that would work. If anything, it made things worse. He left behind a daughter. He was only 30.
ROBERTS, ROBBY DURWOOD C. JR., age 30, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Robby graduated from Center Point Christian School and after attending Jefferson State Junior College for awhile, he joined the United States Air Force. Following his basic and technical training he was assigned to Beale AFB in California. From Beale AFB he was deployed to Kuwait, where he was assigned to the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing at Ali Al Salem Air Base. There he earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for outstanding service performed under austere conditions. His love for country and the United States Air Force garnished him many more outstanding performance awards. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Sue McClain, a native of Union Town, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his young daughter, Madison Anna Roberts; his father, Durwood C. Roberts, Sr.; his brothers, Adam L. Roberts and Billy Stanton; his grandparents, Richard and Anna Hughes, and Duel and Mary Roberts; and a host of other relatives. Visitation will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at New Horizon Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at nearby Good Hope Cemetery. Forever we will love and remember Robby with his easy smile and gentle, quiet spirit. We look forward to spending eternity with him in a better place where our Lord and Savior reigns.

Good afternoon everyone! Ginger, I believe that you never stop loving someone, so it makes sense that you would feel like that. Suicide has to be the worst for loved ones to deal with. That was a very nice obituary. Dee, how nice that you have reconnected with your childhood friend! I hope your sister will want to see her, too, when you go to Florida! Laura, I am so sorry about your chare. It is so hard to lose someone any way! But when you beliueve them to be healthy, must be so hard! I'm glad your dad is doing a little better! Anick, Ranger is a little piggy, too! He is quite overweight. I have not had any luck trying to get him to slow down, either. Carol, I wonder if it is any of the recipes in the recipe thread!! Ginger, that is funny, but I'm with you! How embarrassing!!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Laura you are probably right the recipe that Carol used may be in the recipe thread in the group she was in but if in dogster she may not be able to get to it people saved their dog photos and diaries I don't think they saved recipes unless they were using them daily. I loved that cartoon so true my small girls think they are big and yet my nephews giant schnauzers are huge and try to be lap dogs. I thought my nieces love of having her children as she almost lost them at birth you would give her the drive to quit drinking but I guess when you have been an alcoholic since a teenager it is hard to quit. Ginger that was a good obituary and very nice for your ex husband but you don't need to feel guilty about not being there for him. That true story at the social security office is a rough one maybe the guy could not help to get to the bathroom before letting out farts but I know how rough that would be working and smelling the awful stench and the same if he would keep running to the bathroom the company probably would have canned him spending time in the bathroom. You would think the embarrassment would have him ask his doctor what he could do to stop the uncontrollable farts maybe SS could have him work from home they have been doing that with this epidemic. Anick I think it is funny your dogs don't like the regular treats and prefer fancy cookies you make. You have certainly spoiled them. I know none of my girls would eat the bone treats the bank would hand out I am glad I don't know where they get their treats I would be afraid from China. Pooks I agree with you about some people do have stomach problems that cause that to happen. Well I have to pick Di up today from her Toyota and then go to her house to play games and she can call me when her car is ready and I will pick her up. Jerry came alone last night to cut grass Lisa had a meeting after work. Rosemarie told me yesterday when I took her grocery shopping at Kroger that Di is not going to lose her airline money she was planning to go to Maine with her granddaughter for her 50th reunion and stay with her best friend Maxine however the school because of the epidemic not having a reunion and her friend won't let Di stay there since she did not get vaccinated but her Aunt Pat (Rosemarie sister) said Di can visit her in California she Di and her granddaughter Sammy heading to California on July 12 after her husband birthday July 10 and will spend 2 weeks. Maybe by that time the senior center will be opened Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Ginger, an awkward situation to be sure. If the man's problems were related to being lactose intolerant maybe he could have removed dairy from his diet. But then we wouldn't have had the laugh here. hehe It looks like your ex was an asset to the Air Force with the awards he won. when a young life is cut short. I'm responding here in the people section to things posted in some of the other threads. Can't remember which thread, but the yelp reviews link Lisa posted looked like a good place to get an idea about some of the PT places in your area. And Dee had a good idea about checking on Next Door if you have joined that, as well as making sure a place takes your insurance. Beyond that, maybe try starting with one that is close to home to make it more convenient. My dad used to refer to PT as Physical Torture. He's not calling it that these days, but he is sometimes worn out when he is done with therapy and glad for a short ride home. Good luck with it. Dee, if you ever decided you wanted to drive for Uber or become a taxi driver you can put Rosemarie and Di down as previous work experience. hehe. Gosh I wish Jerry would show up at my house. I need to get out and "mow" today and I just don't feel like it. I'd better get with it if I'm going to because we are getting to upper 80s today. Ugh. I'm glad Di didn't lose her money with her airline tickets. Maybe they can talk Rosemarie into going with them in July. Anick, I wish I had a picture of one time I had gone to a friend's house. I sat down on her couch and along came her Great Dane and backed up to the couch and sat on my lap. I have a friend that sent me tracking information the other day and said something was on the way. No idea what is coming, but expected delivery is today. Woo-hoo. I was watching the tracking and yesterday saw it had made it to Knoxville Very close to where I live. If by truck, maybe 45 minutes away at most. If it came to the airport then it was 10 minutes away. Then the next thing I saw it was in Nashville. At least three hours away. Guess it took the scenic route coming from Knoxville to here. hehe. Can't wait to see what it is. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hi everyone! I feel horrible. I stopped at Walmart just for a few short minutes yesterday, it nearly killed me. I have been in so much agony. I have finally gotten to the point where I cannot do hardly anything anymore. I am getting really disabled really fast.
That farting thing happened at SSA back in 2002. We didn't telework back then, so he had to come in the office & fart the day away.
I have never been married or have any children or anything like that. He's an ex boyfriend. That's one reason why I struggle so much. I live alone. I have nobody here to help me.
I'm going to try to just pick a place. My Chiropractor did recommend a place. Maybe I'll try it. I have got to do something. Heck, I need a scooter or wheelchair or something. I need a pain management clinic too.

Ginger, had to laugh at your come in the office and fart the day away comment. Gave me a giggle. Is there any way you could take a little vacation time and let things with your body settle down some? Or could you make arrangements to work part time for a little while? Would your doctor work with you to help set that up? Good luck with the PT. It may be tough at first, but I hope it will make a difference. Have you ever looked into a pain management clinic before? That might be a good resource for helping get things more under control. I got out and got the yard "mowed" and got a shower. I'm pooped. I think we had the right idea in kindergarten and should have stuck with it ... mandatory nap time. hehe. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Omg Laura! I remember mandatory nap time! It was the one thing l flunked in kindergarten! Dee, it's funny how tough our little dogs think they are!
Anick have you seen the picture of the big great Dane on the couch trying to get away from the little Yappy Chihuahua? Hee hee!
Carol tell me all the ingredients you remember and l can try to find it!
Ginger good idea to start with the chiropractors suggestion! I sure hope it helps!
Laura, love the picture in my mind of that great Dane.!!
I'm being very lazy today!

Ginger, it might not be a bad idea to use crutches of a chair for a short while to give your knees a rest. You would still want to walk some, but it is important to get that inflammation down to reduce the pain. Are your legs swollen or discolored above or below your knee? You can massage your legs to try to increase circulation to keep fluid from accumulating around your knees. There was a while I was in so much pain that I had to be carried even to the bathroom, so I can sympathize with what you are going through.
I am sorry about the situation with your ex. I hope that he found peace from what was hurting him.
Dee, I am so excited about you getting to reconnect with your childhood friend! This is going to turn out to be such an exciting year for you.
Laura, I am sending healing hugs over the loss of your little girl. (I know she felt like yours, and she will always be little to you.)
I remember seeing a farting story on TV. A bus driver brought assault charges against a little boy who had gas on the school bus. He got kicked off of the bus by the school. The boy and his dad were on TV a lot speaking about the story. I don’t know if the district ever changed their mind about him riding to school.
I agree. I would want the earth to swallow me up in a situation like that!

I'm sorry, but for the most part, people who fart can't help it, and it is a natural thing! To blame someone is insane!
Just to let you all know, Dee is having trouble getting in today! Hope she can get in tomorrow!!

Lisa, I don't think I flunked nap time. And I know I wouldn't now. hehe. I ended up going back out yesterday and working in the yard a while. So I had two showers. I filled another 40 lb birdseed bag with ivy and honeysuckle and such. And today I filled two bags. Think I am done for a week! At least I was smart enough not to go back out after my shower today. Leslie, crutches are a good idea. Oh my about the boy being kicked off the school bus. I know it can be smelly, but assault charges? Yikes. Lisa, I couldn't get in this morning. I tried a few different times and kept getting a message saying the group didn't exist. I had that happen one other time. Always glad when I can get back and see things are still here. I have had a lazy afternoon after working in the yard again this morning. It wiped me out. I finally started some laundry and I sure wish the house elves would come finish it up for me. I'm pooped. I did have a nice surprise yesterday. A friend had sent me tracking information earlier in the week and told me he was sending something just for fun. It arrived yesterday. I have to admit part of the fun is wondering what is coming. Turns out it was a bass ukulele. My friend and I have talked musical instruments many times and I have said before I would love to try upright bass. This won't be quite the same, but it will be much easier to store and to pick up and play I think! Especially since an upright bass doesn't have frets. He said once I pick up a little bass amp this will sound similar to an upright. Should be fun! New toys! New toys! - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good morning everyone Happy Sunday Laura I was so happy that the link came up fine on my computer this morning and that I was not the only one have problems getting in. I had Lisa send me a link through messenger that I was able to get on from my tablet at first when I clicked on the link got the same message as my desktop tried again and finally it came up with the site. However it kept kicking me off and losing my post and had to sign in all the time and repost. How cool that your friend sent you a bass ukulele. I am glad it finally arrived though it went a long route Toby this surprise was a toy for mommy and not the pupster Lisa thanks for the link to get in and letting people know I was having problems getting in. I agree people who fart most are not doing them intentionally and you can't control them That picture must be funny of a big Great Dane on the couch getting away from a little dog. Carol are you and Pooks enjoying the sunshine Annette sorry you are getting colder weather Ginger I am sorry you are in such pain and all alone I hope you find a good PT to help you. Anick how are you doing is agility keeping you pretty busy Marty how are you doing I bet Toffee is enjoying camp and hope he is learning everything you want him to know Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

I have been miserable all weekend long. I can't really sleep. I am in so much pain. I have found that massaging around my knees helps. I have gotten some really good advice on here. Thank you.
I don't want to change my work schedule. I've already burned tons of leave dealing with all of this. I am going to see about getting a pain management doctor or a pain clinic. I think I have found a PT place I want to try. I will keep everyone updated as I feel like it.
