Leslie, l agree with you about the scary movies! Funny or suspenseful. Did any one see the It movies? I used to read all Stephen kings books but did not see those movies! Loved the book.
I vaguely heard something about the ransom of the packing plant too. We are talking cyber security classes at work right now and The last class was on ransom attacks!
Ginger I'm glad you got your results. Now you have something to work with! Good to do your own research!
Laura, mostly l donated books and clothes. I can't bring myself to get rid of anything that could possibly used for crafting!!!
Oh, that does not sound good! Hope your muscles feel better soon!
Anick hope you get some rain! We could use some too! Your cable company sounds so reasonable!
Dee that's amazing that they expect you to do all the shopping! Do they know that most grocery stores will do that for you and they only charge $5? I am sorry they are treating you like that! Sure makes you feel wanted as a friend!
Carol, we got to 106 today! That's my excuse for not getting much done! Ha!
Love you all, Lisa and The Wild Ones

Dee, I had the same thought. Rosemarie could order ahead and you all just pick up the groceries. And it sounds like she is equally unkind to everyone. . I am sorry she takes advantage of your kindness. Lisa, yes I did see both It movies! I liked both interpretations. Of course, my bar is pretty low: I enjoy campy horror movies. Sometimes the goofier the better. Do disaster movies count as horror? I really like cheesy disaster movies. (Things like: Oops, We Built a Ski Resort on a Volcano!) Anick, I hope you can get enough rain to recover from your dry spell. We are finally getting some, and it is very welcome. Plus it is nice not to have to carry water to the garden. Laura, how are you recovering from using those loppers? I can just imagine how sore that must have made you. Are you not as itchy as before? Ginger, that sounds like some promising feedback from your doctors. It is great that you are feeling better. I hope that walking around on Saturday helps even more. (Beware of steps, though.) Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. Around here, tomorrow is the last day of school for a lot of kids, so at least we won't have to sit behind buses anymore!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Ginger glad you got your MRI results back so soon and glad you understood them to put in layman's terms. That is good the more walking you do helps you. Laura I tried to get Ward to use the wheelchair but he was stubborn but in the nursing home he was in a wheel chair all the time. He used to roll all around that nursing home till he was finally blind then he would just sit in the spot they put him in. I just remembered Laura years ago when I got Ward his sweatbands I found them at Walmart in the sports area when they had tennis rackets next time at Walmart check that area. I have always had to run to different aisles to get Rosemarie and item she wanted and I would do my grocery shopping on another day as doing her shopping wears me out. Besides putting it in my car I also bring all her packages in her house. The cashier said she wished she had someone help her do her shopping I said I wish someone would help me too I would even go for someone driving me around getting tired of driving Anick I think it is cool you get to pick your channels. We can't here. If we try dropping them and just pay for the few we watch it cost way more. Glad you got some much needed rain Carol so you are going to get some 90 degrees weather too. We reached low 80 yesterday but it started pouring down rain before I left Rosemarie house got drenched going to my car but no problem went home got in my pajamas and rested. Today we are going out early to celebrate my birthday after we play games we are going to Texas Roadhouse in Fort Wright instead of Florence as the one in Fort Wright opens at 11 the one in Florence doesn't open till 3. Lids she doesn't like to order on line likes to go there and look around in case she forgot something on her list. I don't blame her there I was doing the ordering on line and picking it up when I had Ward at home but seems like they were not giving me the freshest stuff as I like soft bread and bananas without spots even when I made notes in the body to make sure they feel the bread as I want it soft and no spots on bananas and no substitution. Wow your temperatures 106 like a hot sauna. Hugs to all Dee, Dallas, & Tori

Ginger, the at home care you mention - would that be like home health coming out to do PT at your house? Glad you are feeling better and hope it stays that way. Carol, nooooooo on the 90 degree weather. You don't have to send that my way. Lisa, have they had some good advice in your cyber security classes? Yeah, I don't think I could part with something I thought could be used for crafting either. Those kinds of things definitely fall into the "I might be able to do something with that" category. I've been bad at times to keep clothes for craft purposes, too. Especially old jeans. 106?!! Yikes. Please don't send that my way even more than Carol's 90s. And frankly I think 106 could be a week long excuse. hehe. No, I didn't see the It movies. Horror movies just aren't my thing. I don't sit and watch movies that often anyway. My TV is on for background noise more than me actually watching things. I do pay attention to a few shows, but they are from from anything horror. Leslie, I'm happy to say the itchy spot near my eye only lasted a day. Thank goodness. Still a little sore from the loppers though. Dee, I wonder who Rosemarie will find to help her once you move. Is today your birthday? Happy Birthday! Are they treating you to lunch? I need to go get Cheeky's nails trimmed. I sure wish she would let me do them. She is too afraid to move for anyone else, but for me ... well, you would be surprised how much fight there is in a 7 lb Chihuahua. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

When I mentioned at home care, I just meant using creams, sprays, propping my legs up, ice, heat, etc. I have felt WAY better since I was forced to get up & walk that day. Also, I have been hurting so long, I guess (hope) the pain has just finally decided to go away on it's own. Let's hope I don't flare back up anytime soon!
I watched Oculus when I got off work yesterday. I thought that was the best one so far! It's about this evil mirror that possess people who are near it. I think the horror movie fans here would like that one. I believe I have found that I like psychological suspense thrillers with twist endings best. Leslie, got any of those you haven't mentioned yet?

Last week Pooks and I walked over to the grandsons and my daughter, Tracy had a new box fan on, Pooks just stood in front of it soaking it in Have a Fabuloaus Friday all ! Carol & Pookah

Oh Carol that is so cute, thinking of Pooks standing in front of the fan! 80s sounds so nice!
Ginger, I haven't seen that one but then again, I'm too chicken to watch that stuff! I hope your non pain holds up!
Laura glad the eye is better but sorry you are still sore! Mostly the cyber stuff is common sense!
Leslie omg what a name for a movie! I like my a bit more sophisticated! What do you think of the direction Walking Dead is taking?
Dee l totally don't blame her for wanting to do her own shopping. But not if she is going to make you do it! Defeats the purpose!
I didn't get anything done today. Another 106 degree day! I baked cookies.

Good morning everyone Happy Saturday Laura don't know who she will find Di will have to do it with her till she meets someone there is an older woman and her husband who moved in across the street she said she is going to invite them to come to the center when it opens but will see if they do. Will be kind of hard the lady is married I don't think a husband would stand for his wife doing all those things so she needs to find someone single. But that is not my concern. She had a friend Dale before me. No my birthday is Tuesday June 8 but during the week the restaurants don't open till 3 and that is too late in the afternoon for them to eat a big meal they prefer a light meal then. But I am glad we went yesterday and it was next door to Walmart as Di asked Rosemarie if she needed anything from Walmart right next door she said yes but but did not want to go. However Di took her anyway told me if she walks she will then have to use their bathroom and won't have to hurry and stop on the way home. So I am glad Di took her to Walmart otherwise she would have expected me to take her today while Di and Bill were out for their lunch. Ginger glad you felt better with walking so you just have to make more plans to go out for a walk Carol so you put the a/c because of Pooks getting too hot I don't blame you that is why I have my a/c on as Dallas goes around panting but with the air conditioning on she doesn't pant just lays down and catches up on her beauty sleep or decides to get Tori to play with her. Lisa as Di puts it she is 90 years old and having to bend over or walk the aisles to get her stuff. While she decides what meals she wants if milk or tea on her list I go and get them and bring them to her or if she has bread or chips I know what kind she likes I go and get it for her then I load her groceries on a conveyor belt I have tried to get her to do self check but won't but Di had her do it at Wal mart yesterday that is why they got out so quickly. Today won't be going to her house till after lunch when Bill and Di come back from their lunch at Chouys. Di will be leaving in a couple weeks to California so thought I won't need to play games but will as Di and Rosemarie just played with 2 when I had Donnie and Christine here. So that means Rosemarie will just want to play with me and her. Well when I get off the computer I will pack away some more items I don't use daily. Leslie have you taken Toby to the vet how is his paw doing Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

The rain did feel so good!!! Now back to being too hot and too dry....
I think Walking Dead is not what it used to be and the 'bonus' episodes they did for this year was a total waste of time in my mind.

Ahh. That makes sense Ginger. Maybe you can start doing walks in your local park or your neighborhood. Might help keep the pain away. Carol, I can relate to needing to keep dogs cool. Neither Pippi nor Cheeky tolerate heat or humidity well any more. In Cheeky's case I know it is related to her heart. Don't know the reason for sure for Pippi, but her symptoms are so similar to Cheeky I suspect it must be something to do with her heart as well. I can just picture Pooks with his hair flowing back in the breeze in front of the fan. Lisa, did you put the cookies out on the patio to bake them? hehe. Ugh on your temps. Um, I guess I can see where 80s would sound nice by comparison. Upper 80s here today and I'm ready for fall. hehe. Dee, that worked out well yesterday with Di going to Wal-Mart with her mother. I can see where at Rosemarie's age it could wear her out to shop without help. As for games, maybe you can get a few days break claiming you need the time to park and sort through things. Anick, looks like I may be in for a wet week next week. Think they showed rain and thunderstorms just about every day in the long term forecast. Yesterday I had a zoom session for some bass pointers and tips from my friend who sent it. I was pleased that much of what he said I had already figured out and was doing on my own. He did teach me some new things that will hopefully make my playing sound fancier. After the short lesson we just chatted. We message in email and facebook from time to time, but it's been years since we have seen each other. Zoom was nice to be able to see a face and hear a voice for a change. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Dee, I'm glad you got a little break! How was your birthday dinner? They have really good steak there! Anick I'm jealous of your rain! Our monsoon season is coming up but it seems we have been having nonsoons for way too long! I was very disappointed when Rick left. Just hasn't been the same! Laura I'm to hear you think pippi is having heart issues also. I sure hope not! Your zoom meeting with your friend sounds like it was awesome! My book group has been doing its discussions on zoom for a year and l feel they are almost as good as the real thing. Another hot day. Took a few more boxes to Goodwill at least!

Good morning everyone Happy Sunday Laura glad you got some zoom with the bass pointers hopefully you all will be able to meet together soon. I understand Rosemarie age makes her needing help with shopping I don't mind taking her grocery shopping just wish stuff she wanted from Walmart she would order online but she prefers to go shopping and I hate shopping. Anick glad you got some rain but sorry to hear you are going back to being too hot and too dry Lisa the stead at Texas roadhouse was delicious and tender I got the early meal sirloin only cost $9.99 which includes 2 sides. Glad you got boxes taken to good will I am waiting for Jerry and Lisa to see if they want anything before my sister and I take the stuff to goodwill when she comes the end of June for a few days. Still trying to go through everything stuff taking is boxed and taped in my computer room and stuff going to good will is downstairs. Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Lisa, I think zoom has probably helped a lot of people keep their sanity over the last year. Nice that people could still connect but stay safe. Wow. You are doing great clearing out. I NEED to! I still just can't seem to get motivated to do much inside. And now it's starting to get too hot and humid to get motivated outside. hehe. Dee, my friend that sent the bass actually lives in California. So we don't get to see each other anyway. But keep hoping schedules and weather will work out where I can meet in person with my two ukulele buddies. I am so with you on not liking shopping, especially grocery shopping. I can take furniture shopping, but luckily that isn't something I need to do often. hehe Will you be downsizing when you move? Pippi and I went to a geocaching event (an ice cream social) over in the park yesterday afternoon. Wish it could have been earlier in the day when it was a little cooler. It was fun though despite the heat. I worried about Pip. She was breathing harder the whole time and I kept pouring water on her to help cool her off. I brought some Frosty Paws ice cream for her and let her get in the creek, too, but she struggled a little with the heat. Almost as soon as Pippi and I got home my mom called and needed help moving their washer. They have a lot of trouble with it getting out of balance and walking around the room. It sits on little foam squares to help and it had come off one of those and dad couldn't lift it so mom could put that back under. Wish it had been today instead of yesterday. Like Pippi, I was struggling with the heat and came in tired. But over I went. Dad wanted to help, and I'm glad he still wants to, but sadly he really isn't able and ends up being in the way. I try to be patient and let him help, too. Their laundry room is small and oddly shaped (their house makes a zig zag), and there we were all three of us in there. There really isn't room for three people in the first place. Then you have mom on the floor so she can reach under. That takes up more space. And dad wanting to try and help lift, but he really can't and isn't doing any of the lifting. And then there is me trying to squeeze in between them and not getting the best angle to do all the lifting. Ahh life is fin sometimes. But we finally got it all sorted and done. Several times lifting to get things in place or adjust feet to make things more level. We have a chance of rain today. All week actually it looks like. For today though I wouldn't mind if it rained most of the day. Would make for a good day to sit with a book. I should be good like Lisa and work on things inside, but between the heat and the washer I'm pooped today. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

My Aunt lives 5 houses down from me. I called her & asked her if she had any clothes for me mostly just to wear around the house since I usually buy some from her everytime I go to one of her yard sales. I've worn & washed some of them so much, they now need replacing. I walked down there & back a few days ago. She found alot of stuff for me to buy. It all fits too! She also loaded up a bag of free food too such as crackers & various types of cookies.
I worked 6 hours in office Saturday handling mail. Walking back & forth to my Aunt's & down that long hallway at work did cause my right knee to flare up. It wasn't that bad, but it was still painful.
I had a good day at work. I got alot done. I saw that we don't have anywhere near the amount of mail that we did have, so it looks like we are making progress. Also some of our fairly recent retirees are coming back for a while to help us with our workload. We call them RA's (Retired Annuitants). Things are looking up, but I do not want to go back to the office anytime soon. Coming in on Saturday is fine, but I love teleworking. I've gotten used to that now.
