Ginger, it is great that you are figuring out how to manage your knee! When it hurts, don’t push it. Give it time to rest and get the swelling down. I hope your last bad spell is your last bad spell!
I saw “Oculus” too! It does kind of haunt you. Have you seen “Mirrors” with Kiefer Sutherland?
I liked a movie called “Braeburn”, I think. I was most of the way through that one before I realized what it was actually saying.
TWD, I have been disappointed in the last few seasons. I agree that after Rick left, the writers weren’t producing their best work.
My Geordie was always in front of a fan too! He would find vents or air purifiers or any place with rushing air and flop down there. I really like that picture you got of Pooks with the wind blowing his fur!
Dee, I am surprised that I forgot it was your birthday coming up. Last year at this time we all were watching the weather so closely because of your balloon trip (which ended up being postponed).
We’re heading for a week of rain too. I’m looking forward to it. Nap time!

Good morning everyone Happy Monday raining here in Walton Ky Laura I don't blame you for worrying about Pippi in the heat since she was breathing harder but nice of you to pour water over him and had frosty paws ice cream. Who knows maybe the guy with the bass will visit from California. Nice of you to help dad and mom with their washer bouncing around. to Pixie. I bet you were exhausted being out in the heat then going to help your parents. Your parents are blessed to have you and the help you do for them. Leslie yes last year I was suppose to go on the hot air balloon for my birthday but it was posted till the fall which was better wasn't so hot and beautiful colors with the trees in autumn. Carol are you getting any rain this morning like we are Ginger nice that you buy clothes from your aunt . Glad you had a good day at worka and things are looking up. I get a lot of clothes from Rosemarie she buys clothes if they don't fit her she gives them to me some are okay and some don't fit right. I went downstairs yesterday and went through the stuff in the laundry room what I plan on taking packed up in boxes taped marked what room and took them upstairs to the computer room what not going took to the other side of the basement where goodwill stuff is. I am worn out going up and down the steps but getting in my exercise. Leslie I think you asked if I was downsizing yes I think so unless I get a raise with 3 rooms no basement so one bedroom I can put my computer and craft but if not will put computer in the living room if I end up with a 2 bedroom house. One good thing no basement or steps going up and down. I have basically everything packed except pans, dishes, glasses, clothes and cleaning stuff that I need to be using till I move and doing it all on my own no one has come over to over to help. Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Carol, I love the sound of a nice steady rain, too. Makes me relaxed and sleepy. Ginger, how nice that you can get clothes from your aunt. And nice that she is close enough you can walk there and back. And cookies are a bonus. Sorry your knee flared a little. With my back I find if I stand in one place with little moving around that kills me quickly, but getting out and walking is good for it. I just have to be moving. I hope you can find the right balance for you and your knees. I hope a lot of companies will continue to let people work from home. I know know everyone likes that, but I am sure a lot would prefer it. Leslie, I'm with you on the rain and nap time. hehe. Dee, I was pooped Saturday. I was still feeling pooped most of yesterday. I'm just glad my parents asked for some help. Sometimes they try to do some of this stuff on their own and they really aren't able any more. I am afraid they are going to hurt themselves. Can't remember if I said yesterday or not, their washer sits on little foam squares and one leg had wobbled off and the washer was sitting very catty wampus. I've never seen a washer walk around as much as theirs. We adjusted the legs while there and maybe it will do a little better now. And as for helping my parents, heaven knows they have been there for me many a time! I'm glad I can do a little in return. Going up and down the stairs a lot is a good work out Dee. Hope you can rest more today. You will lose weight getting ready for this move. Anick, ugh on your weather! I will give you lots and lots of sympathy. Hope you will get some relief soon. How discouraging to hear you are getting that. I keep thinking I am going to move north so I can avoid the heat and humidity in the summer. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Leslie I haven't seen those movies you mentioned. I wrote them down. I'll have to see what all I can pull up.
Anick I used to watch The Walking Dead too. I didn't think it was the same after Maggie left. It got even worse after Rick left. I haven't watched it since then. I try to keep up with it some, but it's just not the same anymore in my opinion.
There's a chance of rain here everyday this week. It is thundering outside right now. I hope the weather doesn't mess up my internet. SSA didn't give us internet to work with from home exactly. We have to use our own internet. We all had to go to a brief class to find out how to tie in our home internet with the SSA server. They did give us a laptop to take home. Each laptop is programmed for that person personally. Nobody can use anyone else's system. We have to use our internet on our personal SSA laptop. If the internet gets knocked out, we do have special leave that we get put on since it's not our fault we can't work. It sounds kinda complicated huh? It's really not, but to an outsider, I'm sure you are scratching your head. I have to know this stuff because I am a Secretary who has the power to input leave for some people.

Makes sense to me Ginger. I've worked in IT and created an online time clock application for one place I worked. If someone's internet is down a long time is it time off without pay? Hopefully people are not running into service outages often. And hopefully no one is taking advantage. My sister works with someone who she is afraid is going to spoil it for everyone being able to work from home. This person is getting about one hours worth of work done a day, maybe two, but claiming she is working 8 hours. Everyone else is wondering how this person can continue to get away with it. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Pippi We have a special category called Admin-Weather & Safety Leave for internet outages, laptop issues, power failure, PIV card issues, things of that nature. Some people have had issues that lasted for weeks & they got paid the whole time. We call it W & S leave for short. It's time to get off work now.

Good afternoon everyone!!
Dee, I am so proud of you for getting so much done on the packing! I hate packing and would definitely be procrastinating!!
Laura, oh, I am sorry to hear how the heat is affecting Pippi!! I am lucky, my dogs all seem to love the heat, especially Ranger. Although they don't do anything in it! Just lay down and soak up the rays!
I am jealous you still have your parents. I miss mine so much! I bet it makes you feel good to be able to help them!1
Carol, oh how lucky! I wish we could have some of your rain! That reminds me, I was supposed to water the garden today, but since it will be dark when I get home, it's not going to happen! Haha!
Ginger, how great that you wear the same size as your aunt! Hope she has good taste in clothes and gives you a good deal!!
Leslie, when they killed off Glen, that was very upsetting for me! I still watch it though! How cute of Geordie to always look for the cool breeze!!
Anick, I'm sorry to hear about your heat! It's bad enough when you are used to it!! I just wish everyone to take climate change seriously!!

Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday Anick that is rough getting the heat back puts a damper on doing things outside Laura I am glad your parents know when it is time to call you and have you help them instead of trying to do it themselves. I know my limits if there is something I can't do will wait for Jerry to come around and do it when he cuts grass. It has been a week since they cut grass with all the rain we are having it certainly needs cutting. Rosemarie posted on my timeline to come over there when bored though we were not playing any games as Di had to take her husband to the doctors. I did not go I laid on the couch and slept with the rain coming down did not feel like going out to her house for a couple hours listening to all she does for her grandkids and for Alice.. Lisa am not one to wait till last minute. The only things will be dishes and glasses and clothes and cleaning supplies. I have the boxes marked which room they belong to. My parents are not alive either. I lost my dad in 2002 and my mom in 2011 though I did not live close to them I did call weekly. Ginger that is neat you had a special category for Admin when the power went out or internet went down they still got paid. Laura I think the jobs would have something for people who work at home like the kids do for school at home. My nieces had to check in on the computer at 8 and have to participate to show they are actually there. They have it so kids can't sign in and be gone all day. They have test and assignments given during the classes. If the jobs don't then they cant complain when people are overworking the system only doing one hour of work to get paid for a whole day/ Carol mommy knows not to over work herself anyway all her packing is done for now till time gets here. Yes we are thankful for the rain and not having to water the garden and mommy laid down and went to sleep next to us while it was raining though Rosemarie wanted her to come to her house just to talk. I have to call the vets this morning when he opens see when he can get Dallas in as yesterday she had soft poop and today diarrhea and some spots that were on the floor looked like blood but what worries me she would not eat that is not like her she never refuses to eat. Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

We get this kind of weather in July and first part of August, not in June. I am in the most humid part of Canada, the West coast and the Prairies are dryer.
I, personally, can't wait for people to be able to get back to their work places. With people working from home it often had some delays the can be extremely annoying. Just contacting someone from the city can take days instead of minutes right now.

Dee, many prayers for precious Dallas. Pooks has to be careful of what he eats now in his older age. He loved eating the little bit of cat chow from the cats dish but he can't any more. Also small, small bites of cookies and bacon and mac & cheese even upset his tummy. Also no extra dog biscuits. He has to stick to his routine or he has loud tummy rumbles and the ploppy poops. He had the bloody plops ling ago when him and Molly could get at the far corner of the back yard and ate bird poop. He got med's, they both did and he recovered . Molly did make it but could have passed. Pooks always has recovered . He never minds the boiled rice routine but Molly would get tired of it and just not eat. So I would start her on her reg. food with boiled stuff mixed in. I tell Pooks his tummy is like mine, now that we are older we have to be more careful. BOL!! We have a chance for rain or storms and temps in the 80's. By the time the yard dries out I will need a tractor to mow Have a great day all and stay cool!! Carol & Pooks

Many prayers for Dallas!!
Willy, that is so frustrating! Takes much longer!
Poor Pookah! The dogs love their treats and to not get them would kill them! Sparkle is so cute when she scratches at daddy to give her a treat!

Ginger, yikes on being without internet or worse yet power for weeks. That wouldn't be fun. Lisa, in Pippi's younger days she did okay in the heat. She might get hot on long hikes, but a drink of water or pouring some water on her would cool her back off and she would be fine. Pippi seems to have aged 10 years in the last couple of years. My mom called this morning and the first thing she said was I'm surprised you see our number and still answer. hehe. This time they needed a light bulb changed and a printer fixed. I was glad neither one of them is trying to get on a ladder any more. Especially for the light in question. It's one outside and on the end of their deck. You have reach out over the edge of the deck to get to it. Dee, I'm glad you have Jerry close by to help. Gosh my grass needs cutting, too, but it's been wet. Not to mention more hot and humid. Luckily the front is mostly landscaped and not grass. So I can let it go a little more than some houses could. The problem lady in my sister's department is telling them she is working off line, and doesn't stay signed into the system the whole time. So they don't know what she is doing. But there have been a few things that have taken her close to 80 hours to complete what most are getting done in about 12 - 15 hours. So I am like my sister in wondering how long you think you can get away with that. I hope the vet was able to see Dallas early in the day today and get her some relief. Anick, I can understand that. It will be nice when some things can return to normal, won't it? Carol, I give you sympathy on having to watch Pooks (and your own) diet. I have to be careful with Cheeky, too, although we finally found the right medication to keep her well controlled. She used to have a terrible time with colitis, and that would just break my heart to see. We couldn't always figure out what was setting hers off and that is frustrating, too. Glad you have learned what Pooks needs to avoid. I think that is half the battle. Lisa, Cheeky was on prescription food for a while and I would try to use her kibble as treats. She was usually wise to that but thought it was better than nothing. I've ran some errands this morning and am playing catch up this afternoon. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hello ladies! I know I don't post often in this thread. I'm just popping in to say that Don and I are going to Minneapolis for a few days, and Toffee is boarding at Pet Camp. I'm not taking my laptop, so we won't be around until Sunday.
Anick, they're having that same hot and humid weather where we're going! I'm not used to it, either. I don't even know how to pack! It will be freezing indoors, with everyone cranking up the AC. Then sticky-icky outdoors.
Dee, I did read enough on this page to see that your move is coming right up. I'm sorry you had no help in packing. I hope everything goes well. 🤗
Marty & Toffee
