Have a nice trip, Marty! Will you be visiting family? Dress in a series of lightweight layers in you can. Capri type pants can be good. They are good in both the heat and the chill.
Dee, I hope you got a lot done today. Do you have much left to pack? It sounds like you are making good progress.
Carol, maybe you can hire some sheep to come take care of your lawn for you! 😝.
Anick, we are getting the same kinds of temps as you. It was 90 and humid.
Laura, you must feel good that your folks are thinking ahead and relying on you! Now you will feel better knowing they are safe.

Leslie, I've wondered about goats to help with the ivy in my yard. hehe.
I am glad my parents are finally calling me more. There have been things they would tell me about after the fact and I fussed at them. My mother likes to tell me she is not a child, which I know, but I do want them to be safe.
Lisa, I've got friends who want to start doing dog walks again. I have missed that and want to, but especially heading into summer I feel like I don't have a dog who can do much of one. I don't think they are doing the long hikes like they used to, but I suspect they want to go further than Pippi can. We may find out though and see how a walk goes.

 Dee! Have an awesome trip Marty! When it's only the work laptop that's not working, I'm sure people are happy about that. They don't have to work & they still get paid! I have no doubt that some people are abusing the system saying there internet is down when it's not or saying it was down for longer than it really was. They might even be purposely breaking their laptop. Who knows? SSA puts up with alot. Our former Mail Clerk was the biggest prick you would ever want to cross the street to avoid. He give people nasty looks, roll his eyes at them & actually cuss at people when they would have to walk past him. He'd tell people FU, B*tch, Get the f**k outta my way you stupid b*tch. Oh he was something! Numerous people, myself included, filed complaints against him. Nothing happened to him. He still works at SSA. An employee practically has to pull a gun on someone, shoot up at their cubicle, attack someone, etc to get fired. It's unreal!!

Good morning everyone Happy Wednesday raining here in Kentucky
Marty you and Don have a great time in Minneapolis Toffee will be in good hands at the pet camp. We will miss you. At least my packing myself I know where my things are/ I hope things goes well too
Laura it has been raining here so Jerry and Lisa and Devan did stop by for half an hour yesterday but could not cut my yard too will probably need a tractor to get it mowed as high as it is. Jerry and Lisa and Devan brought me a chocolate cake and birthday card wrote Dee on top and put the number 71 and sang Happy Birthday we all had a piece of cake then before they left asked if I would watch their dog Chloe this weekend I said sure so they are dropping her off on Thursday I told them make sure she doesn't eat something that makes her sick like the last time.
Anick I understand wanting people back to the worksite where they will be there to get things done since at home you are not sure if they are even logged in and takes longer to get something done.
Carol it is rough watching what our dogs eat outside but Dallas was back to her old self by the time I got back from Rosemarie house but am keeping the vet appointment this afternoon at 3:30 just to make sure. I haven't seen her poop today so not sure how it is but she ate her dinner last night. I have to get dog food and kidney medicine for Tori so might as well keep the vet appointment. I went to Rosemarie yesterday to play cards and games they gave me lovely birthday cards even mentioned hope all goes well for me in my move to Florida and Rosemarie gave me $25 cash which I used to go for lunch alone yesterday at Red Robin got a Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich ,Onion Rings and a Root bear float first time ever going into a a restaurant alone. Di gave me a $25 gift card for Olive Garden which we are meeting her at on the 24th when she takes her husband to infusion the day before she leaves for California for 2 weeks with her granddaughter. Rosemarie staying home in case Bill needs anything. Then I got three phone calls right after one another my girlfriend Barbara called from Fort Lauderdale Fl then my sister called from New Jersey and then my girlfriend Marianne called from Omaha Nebraska and our friend Alice from the senior center called left a voice mail I could not get off the phone from my girlfriend. Alice said she was in Pennsylvania with her grandson would see me on July 15 when she gets back hates to see move to Florida.
Lisa thanks for the prayers for Dallas keeping her appointment at 3:30 but she seems to be doing fine she ate her dinner last night and her breakfast this morning but haven't seen any poop this morning to know if still running but must not be if she hasn't gone yet at least here in the house.
Leslie still have things to pack but majority is packed except last minute things like my summer clothes, under the bathroom sinks, under kitchen sink, all the cleaning stuff which I will need to clean this house before I move.
Lisa you are right best present is to have Dallas better which she seems better she ate her food last night and ate her breakfast this morning haven't seen any poop to know if she still has the diarrhea but am keeping the vet appointment at 3:30 just to be safe besides I need to pick up dog food and kidney medicine for Tori. I really had a great birthday no loneliness plenty of people to talk to

Have a great time at Camp Toffee !! Marty and Don have fun also! When my hubby's work place sent some people home last year for a month some of those people figured how to get extra time with the place they have where you can check your hours and stuff. Well they got caught and now this year you can only check your hours on the phone app. but can request days off on app or puter. I'm going to start the mowing today if it's dry enough this afternoon. The clover is growing good LOL! |

Good afternoon ladies!! Anick, it used to get SO cold in the library that mommy made a sign for her cubicle that said, "Welcome to the artic circle!" Laura, I hope you can start doing some of those walks! I know you have a stroller. Is it too much to have to push it around empty until a pup might need it? And are your walks anywhere where pushing a stroller would even be possible? I know Pippi loved those! Oh my, Ginger, that is horrible! I bet if someone threatened to sue for sexual harassment (doesn't have to be sexual innuendos, just an uncomfortable workplace!) they would do something about it! Thank you for the knee exercises! I avoid stairs because of how it hurts my knees, so I bet these would help and I could do stairs again! Dee, your birthday sounds like it was lovely! So glad so many showed you they cared! And really happy Dallas is doing so well! Carol, seems like if there is a way to get something for nothing, too many people will do it! Hope you find some lucky clovers!!  |

Wow Ginger. It's amazing what people get away with. How nice to be working from home and not have to walk by people like that now.
Glad you found a good resource for some exercises. Hope those will do a lot of good for you. Gosh, makes me wish I had a pool for getting some exercise.
Dee, chocolate cake - yum! How nice that they brought that by. And how nice the cash and gift card from Rosemarie and Di. Combine those with the phone calls and it sounds like a nice birthday.
Carol, yikes on people trying to claim hours they didn't work.
I need to mow, too, but we keep having rain every day.
Lisa, last weekend Pippi walked while I pushed the stroller over to the geocaching event. I probably looked drunk because Pippi likes to zig zag down the sidewalk, which doesn't work so well when you are also trying to push a stroller. hehe. It is doable though without having to make too many stops.
Pippi and I headed over to play ukuleles with my buddies today. First time we have met in person in quite a while. It was nice and we had fun. I think Pippi enjoyed a change of scenery, too. She is one pooped pup tonight.

Good morning everyone Happy Thursday Lisa I am so glad so many of my friends posted Happy Birthday as that morning when playing cards when Rosemarie wished me a Happy Birthday she made a comment not too many people posted wishing you a Happy Birthday I told her it was too early in the morning but they always post. So when she saw that picture I posted with Devan and me holding my birthday cake I am sure she saw everyone who posted wishing me a Happy Birthday. I did have a good one it was nice not to be lonely and have so many calls and talking for an hour with each person who called. The money Donnie and Christine gave me for my birthday disappeared after my vet visit because buying Tori dog food and her kidney medication and Dallas visit and having to get some gastro food for her cleared out that birthday gift. Anyway the vet said Dallas had no pain when pressed her stomach so sold me the gastro  where there was dry and canned food and a paste for her to take 3 times a day and probotic capsules once a day. Said once that is all finished her poop will be back to normal. Carol that is nice your husband place of business fixed it when people were abusing the work at home. Glad you were able to get your grass cut. The kids have not cut mine maybe they will do it tonight when they bring Chloe over for me to dog sit I certainly hope so as my grass is almost higher that Dallas when they go out to potty. Larua I am sure people realized when you were walking Pippi it was her zigzagging and you were not drunk. I did have nice long chats with people who called me for my birthday it was a good day hearing and talking to people. That chocolate cake was delicious I wrapped it in fool by pieces so i can take them out and eat them but tomorrow morning I go for blood draw trying not to eat any sweets till after that. So Friday night I will have a piece of the chocolate cake and even eat some of the Esther Price Candy. Ginger it is a shame people who abuse the system make it rough for those that don't. Dee, I'm sorry all your birthday money went so quickly. It sure would have been more fun to spend it on something for your new house after you move, but I'm glad you had a little extra right now to cover this. Yikes what an expensive visit though.
At times when I am writing code for web applications you can make the page do what you want in 2 lines of code. But then you have to add 60 lines of code to try and keep people from doing things they shouldn't be doing.
I don't know what I have been around but something has my allergies stirred up. I noticed it some last night and even more this morning. Achoo!

Glad you had a good Birthday Dee!! Sorry the money went to the vet. Prayers for Tori. She is lucky to have you!! I did get the yard mowed, weeds whacked and then raked. It was mid 80's but I took breaks. Looks way better now. We had rain and thunder in the evening and that was nice. I like a steady rain on the overnights. Could get more this evening. I just want better temps and get the windows opened. I amd grateful for AC but perfer the windows opened  Have a safe and happy day all! Carol & Pookah |

Laura, I am always telling patrons I'm not drunk, just clumsy, as I run into the columns or shelves in the library! I'm glad to got to go play the ukulele with your buddies! That must be so stress relieving! I still want to get one, but don't know when that's gonna happen! Sorry about your allergies! I am so lucky that I don't suffer from bad allergies.
Dee, I think I forgot to say anything on Facebook. I don't get on there much! I'm glad you had an awesome birthday! So deserved!
Carol, I hope you didn't overdo it! But glad you got your yard work done and can enjoy the outside! May your rain be gentle!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday
Laura sorry your allergies are causing you problems maybe from raking up all those cicada's in the yard and the leaves hope you get some relief. It was nice to get the money but as always it is extra money to pay for the medicine for Tori and her dog food it is well worth it. A need to be purchase.
Carol that is great you got your yard all cut and cleared up hoping the weather will allow you to open your windows instead of the a/c. Lisa came alone and Dropped off Chloe with her dog food a t5:30 pn had to go back and get Jerry so they could head out to the camp sight I guess Jerry was home hooking the boat on his truck. They will be back Sunday evening so the grass is pretty high and will be higher by Monday when they can come and cut it unless my neighbors complain or some one comes knocking on my door asking if they can cut grass will gladly pay them to do so.
Thank you Lisa for the birthday wishes. Well have to get my posting done have to be at the doctors at 7:30 to get blood test for my appointment on Monday at 8:20 am.
