So glad Dallas Ann is fitting in! I'm sure her other mommy is smiling down on you all I start feeding furs at 4 - 5AM but some days lay back down. Si I say sleep/rest whenever you can ladies Molly had an actual turd this morning. I praised the Lord and thanked him over and over. She hadn't pooped since last Wednesday. I'm feeding her shaved ham, boiled eggs, boiled rice and the water from the rice and cottage cheese. Wrapping each of her pills in a small bit of the ham. Slowly in a couple days I'll start adding her reg. food back with boiled stuff at least mid day and maybe still in her meals. Pooks loves the extra he gets when she eats. She is spoiled and stubborn and I wouldn't want her any other way Have a super day!!

Attachment DeletedGood morning everyone Happy Wednesday Yes Geordie we are one weird bunch celebrating great turds Pooks Molly so glad Molly had a good turn and you are gradually switching her back to regular food. I am sure Pooks enjoys the extra food Pippi yes it is very hard to resist hugging to pups one on each side of me. Yesterday Jerry brought Devan over after he picked her up from school so she could meet Dallas but Dallas would not go to her so I picked her up and put her in Devan's lap she stayed a few minutes but next thing I knew she was on the couch curled up next to me. She is definitely a mommy's girl. Yesterday when I took her outside she went way to the end of the yard and to the side of the house checking out the yard when AJ did that wore her out I had to go get her as one big yard. Though Dallas was awake at 1 this morning walking around woke me up with her scratching. Then she got up on me wanted me to pet her I did it for a long time then told her she has to go lay down and go to sleep so she did

Carol, so glad to hear Molly is improving! I know that has to be a relief. 4-5 am?!! Cheeky might like that, but luckily I have gotten her to let me sleep a little later here lately. Certainly much later than 4 or 5 or 2 am. I'm a night owl, and find it difficult to get up early in the morning. Dee, it sounds like Dallas has bonded nicely with you. I have heard Chihuahuas can pick one person they like and the rest they could do without. Are Pomeranians like that, too? I think Dallas knows she is safe with you and that you are going to love and protect her. Do she and Tori play together any? I took Pippi out for a little walk yesterday. Shorter than the last one and without Cheeky in case Pippi needed to be carried. We went just over a mile this time. Maybe a little slowing down before we got home but not as much as last time - which was just under two miles. I was a little worried last night that she might be sore and moving slowly this morning, but seems to be doing well. I am guessing the treats she is on now are helping, combined with the shorter walk. Maybe Pippi and I can slowly build back up to something longer. And if not, that's okay. I should be out working in the yard again today since it's another nice, cool morning. Loving this! We've got a good chance of rain tomorrow I think. We could use it. A picture of the bench ... (click to view larger) It's a good, sturdy bench. Not bad to sit on without a cushion, but hard for Pippi to get up there and walk around with the slats. So at some point I will find something to put up there. May see what I can come up with other than a cushion. I would have to figure out where to store a cushion when not in use. Wouldn't leave it outside because things tend to mold very quickly here. Callie, the stray cat that hangs around got up and enjoyed the bench with me for a bit yesterday afternoon. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Laura, do you think that if you waterproofed an outdoor cushion that it might last the summer on the bench? Congratulations on the walk with Pippi! I hope you can all do more walks like that soon.
Dee, if I were in Dallas’ place, I would stick close to you too. You must make her feel very safe and secure. (Well, except for that whole bath business!!)
By the way, I want one of those itty bitty puppies!!
Is Molly still doing well today? More solid poos?

I'm not sure of waterproofing a cushion would keep the mold at bay. I may have to find out. hehe. Carol, I read about Nekko over in Barks and Woofs. I'm so sorry. Even when you know there is an underlying illness it's still hard to lose them. Does Itsumo have other kitty buddies to help keep him company? My neighbor sent me a text the other day saying she was starting Fiddle Club up again and going to have it outside if I wanted to join them again. She and the student she had were using facetime or zoom or something and had continued it in the spring, but I think they usually stop for the summer. I kind of have a feeling weather may make it a facetime thing again tonight. We've had a light rain most of the day and expecting 1-2 inches of rain tonight. I think looking at the hourly forecast it shows 90-100% chance of rain during the time set. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hello ladies,
Sorry I haven't been here in a couple days! I miss you all so much when I don't make it in.
Carol, I am SO sorry to hear about Nekko! He was a beautiful cat!! We sure are glad Molly is pooping though!
Leslie, having a dog in each arm has got to be the best thing ever!! Clarabelle is my only snuggler, although Ranger will sometimes get in my lap for me to pet him.
Dee, I am so glad that Dallas and Tori are not spatting!! I bet eventually they will become fast friends!!
Leslie, you are so right. Dallas has been through a lot of torment in the last week and who knows how long she was with her first mommy after she had passed!!
Laura, I love the bench! What about having a cushion on the bench that you can cover in a tarp or something when you are not sitting on it? Oh, I hope you can attend the fiddle club!! I know how much you enjoy that!

Lisa, you had asked about my craziness. There is really nothing you can do for Bell’s Palsy. I went to a chiropractor, and it helped somewhat. I can sleep now, but I still have comical, transient paralysis. (BP is like randomly having novocain in different parts of your face....but only on one side.)
Laura, I am jealous of your rain. I hope you have a lot of fun at fiddle club!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Carol so sorry to hear Nekko went to the yesterday but I am sure the rest of your clan who went before Nekko were there to greet Nekko as soon as he came. Happy Birthday to Tinkerbell. Glad to hear Molly is improving hope she stays on the mend we will be for both her and Pooks since they are seniors Lisa I am glad they are not fighting either but will be glad to see when they finally start playing together I know it takes some time as Dallas was with her mommy Cindy when she was a pup that is 8 years and all of a sudden uprooted but I let her know her mommy did not abandon her that she loves her but God took her to heaven and she is no longer suffering either she is with her parents and husband that Tori and I will love and take good care of her she is our family member now/ Laura the bench looks great is it made with wood. Those cushions I had some on my patio and sprayed water resistant on them was taking them in and out during rains but gave up on it they have mold all over them Jerry did not wash them when he cleaned the mold off the patio just put them in the garage. Hope you find something to make it comfortable to sit on and Cheeky and Pippi can walk on. Glad you got Pippi out for a walk. Great that your neighbor is starting an outside fiddle class and invited you to join. Well Tori and Dallas were sleeping yesterday at the foot of the couch so I started crocheting my feather stitch pocket shawl have 7 rows completed the Part II for the pockets and border coming out on Saturday when I get it completed I will post pictures it is blue Monday Dallas goes to the vet for blood work and urine to make sure no underlying conditions hoping no problem and no medications needed. She certainly loves to go outside. She doesn't go very far she has to look up to make sure I am standing on the deck in her sights otherwise she comes to the door wanting in. Anick hope Willy and Teddy are doing good Marty hoping Hershey is doing good Kathy hoping you and Stephen are feeling better Hugs, Dee, Tori & Dallas

Laura, I love the bench!! Itsumo is trying to make up to Cleopatra~Grace but... Cleo has been a loner snice Emily dies in 2018. So she really don't want any friends. So Itsumo follows me around. Dogs don't want to be around him, I think because they are old and set in their ways. Today would have been cat Tinkerbells BD but she died almost a year ago. But that is part of life, a part. We have a beautiful sunny day. I'm washing curtains and windows this week but have had several interruptions. Mostly my sis in law. She had been feeding outside cats and she got some new Finches this week and of course we check on each other with all that is going on. Have a great day all

Aw, poor Itsumo. Do you think there might be a little sibling in his future? 🤗

Leslie . I have probably asked before, but can't remember ... are most people able to figure out what typically triggers an episode of Bell's Palsy? Or is it a totally random thing? Hope you can figure out what triggers it for you and hope it will be something easy to avoid. Like Lima Beans. BOL! Dee, the bench is metal. Made it super easy to put it together. It was basically put in 8 nuts and bolts and you have a bench. My mother had gotten a great deal at Rural King. She got two benches like that for $20 each. Can't beat that - even if you do have to go buy your own nuts and bolts. hehe. I am very happy to say we did have fiddle club last night despite the rain. I had really been missing it. I assume it is going to be twice a month again. I kept up on most of the songs, but there was one new one they had thrown in since I had last been with them in March. I was glad I had been able to keep up on most of the rest since I had not been playing anything out of that book for quite a while. Dee, can't wait to see pictures of the latest shawl. Feather stitch sounds pretty. Is this similar to the others pocket shawls you made? Carol, I'm sure Tinkerbell is having a fantastic birthday party at the bridge. Happy Birthday to her! Um, sounds like you are going to have to get Itsumo a cat so he can have a new buddy. hehe. That is nice that you and your sister-in-law check on each other. I had a call from my cousin the other night. That alone worried me because I think that is the first time he has ever called me. Found out my aunt fell about a week ago and broke her hip. The bad part is she probably lay on the floor about 10 hours before someone found her. Thankfully her neice (other side of her family) checks on her twice a day. She had called my aunt that morning and then was unable to get in touch with her that evening. So she called a neighbor to see if she had fallen in the yard. Neighbor didn't see her, and said no lights on in the house and curtains all closed. So the niece called the police who met her over there. She was still in her pjs and they are guessing she probably fell right after she had talked with the niece that morning and hung up the phone. She had to have surgery on her hip, and she has moved this week to a nursing home/rehab facility. Her stay in the hospital has made some dementia worse and sadly she won't be going back home. They are determining now what level of care she will need. My cousin said they have 6 levels of assisted living and then full on nursing home. He didn't know yet where she will end up once the rehab is over. They said her mobility will not be great, and he said it wasn't great to begin with. That combined with the dementia and sounds like this is where she needs to be now. He said he has known for a while that is what she needs, but because of covid he had been trying to avoid it. He didn't want her to make the change and feel like she was in jail. Anyway, we are thankful she is okay and recovering. Think this is the third or fourth time she has fallen and broken something in say the last 5 - 7 years. Hmm. I hope I didn't already say all that the other day, and I'm just repeating myself now. hehe. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Oh Laura, many prayers for your aunt! My great aunt fell and broke her hip years ago and din't survive very long after it happened. Breaking a hip is a very dangerous thing! Hope she will be in the 50% who survive! Leslie, we are sorry there is nothing you can do for BP! We hope it is not too hard on you! Carol, hugs for losing Nekko and Happy Birthday to Tinkerbelle! Dee, thank you for being an to Dallas and for being patient with her. She sounds like a love!
