Love hearing about good books Lisa. I have to ask though, do I need a tissue to read any of those? hehe I agree. It is nice to have all the supportive friends here. Dee for Dallas. Do they think the eye drops will be a temporary thing? Hope so. I also hope she is good about letting you do the meds. Sorry to hear she is going to lose some teeth, too. For some reason I was thinking you had said she had a dental in the spring with the vet you had contacted in NJ. Maybe after you get the ears cleared up and the eyes feeling better Dallas will feel more like playing with Tori. Got my fingers . We had a chilly morning here after a rainy night. Guess it pulled the colder air in behind the rain. Suits me. hehe. I actually got a jacket to sit out on the sun porch this morning and listen to the rain and watch the birds. Wish I could have sat there all morning. Would have taken very little for me to take a nap with the dogs. hehe. I woke up at one point last night burning up. The cooler weather, which I think makes for great sleeping, made the cats and dogs all want to snuggle close. I had four little heaters touching me and I was toasted. hehe. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

I bet little Dallas is going to feel much better now that she has those issues cleared up. She may even be comfortable enough to sleep through the night. I bet you and Tori will appreciate that. I was thinking the same thing that she may feel more playful once she is more comfortable.
Yes, I was wondering if it were your wine country area being destroyed by fires, Marty. It seems that they were affected last year as well. A friend’s daughter was vacationing in wine country when she and her family got a wake up call from their hotel telling them to get out now. Fires are coming. That would sure be scary.
Carol, you have such a positive attitude! I hope those happy days are right around the corner for you guys.
Laura, at least your family trusts you enough to let you help. Mine feels me to be incompetent to do anything. They prefer to hire people from the church.
We finally got rain last night! It’s been a month since we’ve had any. Toby made me stand out in it for sooooo long while he took the most leisurely poo in history. Thanks Toby.

Leslie, I am so sorry your family feels that way and especially that they treat you that way!! I know how demeaning that can be!! Hugs!! And yes, that would be VERY scary!! Carol, I am glad to hear Itsumo is doing better! I was so worried about Tango when my dad died, but he did well. Right now, though, the dementia seems to be getting worse. It breaks my heart to seem him wondering around aimlessly and bumping into things. Laura, it is definitely safe to read Patron Saint of Lost Dogs and Dog Gone, Back Soon. I haven't finished the other one. He also writes nonfiction which can be , but he is a good writer. Marty, happy birthday to your hubby! Is it the Chateau Boswell winery? So tragic!! Good morning everyone Happy Last Day of September and Wednesday Yes, Lisa is is so tragic those castles in the winery burning down I heard there were 3 deaths and they were trying to identify the victims in this last fire. I pray for the firemen trying to put out all those fires and for people having to get out. We hope Don had a Happy Birthday despite what is happening around him this year 2020 has really been bad everywhere more hurricanes more fires, the fires, the protestors Leslie I am sure your parents don't mean to say you are incompetent to do things and they prefer to hire church people because they just worry about your health don't want to have you do things that could hurt you Laura TORI had her teeth done in the spring but Dallas went in May to a vet in New Jersey for a UTI then they gave her the required shots by them but my vet checking their files did not see that she had heartworm shots or flea and tick medication or the Bordetella to be around other dogs. I believe the eye drops will be for the rest of her life that was how AJ was I had to get refills and do it for the rest of her life. Now he called back about her blood work her liver and kidneys are good the blood work was all good. However her urine had crystals so she has to eat the special dog food for urines from Royal Caine for Urinalyis. Of course Rosemarie makes the comment boy your vet sees you coming and charges everything. But Dallas because Cindy was unable to take proper care of her financially things were left alone. I think no matter what vet I took her to they would have done the same thing but prices are more expensive at other vets as I called around to see which vet was cheaper in things and this one was and it is closer to me. Leslie Dallas has been sleeping better with her ears cleaned out and once her dental is taking care of she should feels better all together. Carol we are glad Itsumo is feeling better and hanging around more with you . I finished the feather stitch pocket shawl will go to Jerry's when Lisa gets off work see if she can take a picture of me wearing it but in meantime here it is across the chair. I will send this to Cindy's niece Vicki who was keeping me informed of Cindy she saw it on Facebook said she loved it would want one. I was going to send it to my girlfriend whose birthday is in November but will do one for her later. This is my first one and kind of long. I do have one to make for one of PDPC members who is retired from the Virginia State Police she will pay me to make her a light grey and dark blue one. I will start on pockets since I have the dark blue material here but ordered the gray so by the time it comes I will start on the body Please pray for Laila she has lymphoma and they are going to start her on chemo and check on the CBD Oil Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Leslie Family can make us scratch our heads sometimes can't they?!! I'm going to hope that your family is more concerned about your health than thinking you are not capable of doing something. I have to laugh at my dad sometimes. Every time I leave their house if their cat is outside I hear multiple times to watch for the cat and not run him over as I leave. I've never run a cat over and I'm not sure why he thinks I would start now. He usually has mom go out with me and watch to make sure I don't run the cat over. Sounds like Toby was enjoying the rain. hehe. Sorry he had you out in it though. Did it bring some cooler air with it? I'm loving it here! Lisa I sure am sorry to hear Tango is getting worse. I think what makes watching that decline so frustrating and heart breaking is knowing you can't do anything about it. It's such a helpless feeling. Hope today will be a good day for Tango. Dee, ahhh on Dallas. I must have been thinking about Tori's dental. Sorry about that. Glad the blood work looked good. That is a relief. Sorry about the bladder crystals. I used to have a cat that was on prescription food for the same reason - to prevent bladder stones. She did very well on it. Hope Dallas will as well. I think not only potentially because of Cindy not being able to afford care for Dallas, but health issues also pop up as they age. I know 8 isn't that old, but old enough to start seeing things. Hopefully all her health issues will be under control quickly. I really hate to hear about Laila. for her! I hope she will respond well to the chemo and see good results. I have a friend who just lost a dog to lymphoma. Chemo gave their dog an additional two years. I will certainly keep Laila and her family in my thoughts and prayers. I am hoping to find some time today to do a little sewing, or would be better still if I worked on some more boxes and got them out the way. I had a mocha this morning so maybe that will give me some energy. I sure was dragging yesterday! I don't usually drink anything with caffeine in it. Just a mocha every once in a blue moon. I had to give up caffeine in high school. Well, I guess I get a little from chocolate, but that would be about it most of the time. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Oops. I got side tracked thinking about Laila and I forgot to mention how pretty the pocket shawl looked Dee. I like the pattern that feather stitch makes. For your friend's birthday will you do the feather stitch again or the stitch you did on the first two?

Hi everyone! Many prayers for Patrick ! Hope she reacts well to the chemo! Dee the shawl is beautiful! People who aren't true dog people just don't get it when we spend money on our dogs! Glad Dallas' blood work was good! Laura thank you! We are just going to keep him comfortable and make sure he eats. He has meloxicam but he hates it. Hope you got to sew today! you are so good at it! Carol we are jealous of your temps! We are still in the triple digits! Leslie, Marty, Anick and Kathy, hope you are all well! Lisa and the Wild Ones

I am sorry to read that Tango is not doing good, it is so hard to see them get older and get all kind of health issues. Teddy is almost back to 100%, he only as a rear paw that is not fallowing as good but he can still walk on it and sure enjoy his daily walks. We go slower but he is happy and wiggle his butt and tail all along the walk. Up here we don't hear much about the wildfires, last news we got was that 300 firefighters did go down to help so we figure it is still bad.

Good morning everyone Happy Thursday and 1st Day of October Anick yeah more fires have started my prayers are with those firefighters and people in the path of the fires and all God's precious animals that are not able to get away Carol we are glad Pooks and Molly and Itsumo are doing good Lisa we are sorry to hear how Tango is I went through watching decline on Sabrina and watching it on Ward it is so rough. Laura I believe Dallas will do great with the medicated dog food and once her rotten teeth are out of her mouth she should probably start like Tori and maybe playing with her. Well when I do one for my girlfriend unless I see another pocket shawl I would like I will probably do the feather stitch it looks fancy and not hard. Right now I finished the pockets for Ginny in my other group and when the grey yarn comes in got an email should be here on the 10th. I will start the body Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Lisa, I'm not familiar with meloxicam. Is that something for pain or for appetite or something else? Hope he has more appetite today. Ugh on the triple digit temps. I really don't know how you stand it, especially for this long. I think I was worse than a kid waiting for Christmas waiting for more fall like temps here. And I know temps could go back up, but I sure am hoping they will stay nicer! Hope you will get some relief soon. Is this typical for you to still have triple digits in October? Anick, I am so glad to hear Teddy is about 100% Yay! I'm glad that he can still enjoy some walks, too. Probably the best thing for him. I really need to get Pippi on more walks. The 300 firefighters ... were they from Canada? Are there areas in Canada where wildfires are a regular problem? Here in TN it really isn't that common a problem thank goodness. Guess we get enough rain and humidity most of the time to help prevent it. Dee the shawl looks good on you. Looks like a wider border which will keep someone's neck warm. I know I sound like a broken record, but just can't get over how quickly you can get projects done. I've got a sleepy crew here this afternoon. Well, I guess technically I have a sleepy crew most afternoons. hehe. Before Pippi settled in for her nap she had found a piece of rope and was dragging it around. Nimbus was loving that and following Pippi. Pippi kept trying to run away from Nimbus, which just made the string go and entice Nimbus more. It was fun to watch. Then they played a gentle game of tug for a little bit. Well, kind of like tug anyway. It was cute. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Hello pals,
Anick, so happy to hear that Teddy is close to 100% recovered!! He is a sweet dog!
Dee, your shawl is gorgeous! The recipient is one lucky lady!! Glad Dallas is doing so well!
Laura, meloxicam is a pain medicine. He just hates it when I squirt it into his mouth. It is a liquid. I would love to see that with Pippi and Nimbus!!!

Good morning everyone Happy Friday Laura it is a wider and longer shawl and it is heavy when on so it should keep Vicki warm. Thank you for the compliment. I have the pockets made for the next project and picked up so grey yarn instead of waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive and started the next shawl for Ginny in PDPC on Facebook I will work on it today when I take my car in for an oil change and have to wait. Leaving Dallas at home in her crate though she won't like it but it is for the best Lisa thank you I am sending this one to Vicki my cousin niece who let me know about Cindy. She said she has always wanted one. I will do another one in the same color but smaller for my girlfriend when I finish working on the one for Ginny Marty hope the new medicine helps Hershey I have never heard of it. Sorry you got more smoke in your area but am glad to hear the fires won't come your way. Anick so glad to hear Teddy is about 100 percent healed just needing walks Carol we know Nekko had a great Gotcha Day at the bridge and we are always for Pooks and Molly. Bad thing most of us have senior dogs Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

The 300 firefighters come from everywhere across Canada. We have wildfires sometime but the season for that is over and those special firefighters goes from provinces to provinces depending on where they are needed and often when they are not needed here they go to help you guys when you need them. I just don't know if they did bring their planes this time but if you see red and yellow planes that look like big wales it is them.
A few years ago Teddy had a liquid medication to take and it was going everywhere except where it was suppose to go so my vet told me to soak it in a little piece of bread and it did work.
