My boys have profiles in the Tanner place but I never see anyone when I try to go there so I did stop, here it was easier once I figured it out. I am way too far from anyone to ever think about meeting anyone.

Dee, it takes me almost an hour to get to my ukulele buddies' house. So nearly two hours in the car getting there and back. Wish they lived closer. And right now there seems to be a lot of road destruction (I mean construction) going on no matter which way I try to go from my house. So that doesn't help. Dee, I feel for Jerry. That would be rough loosing both of his parents so close together. Years ago I lost my paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother 10 days apart. That was rough. Can't imagine both parents so close together. Hope he will be able to enjoy his weekend away and won't have to cut it short. I'm glad you have everything done and ready for Ward's. I'm also glad that Jerry is close and will be able to go with you. That isn't something someone should have to face alone. Lisa, I agree about everyone scattering to different sites. Wish there had been a replacement that could have attracted everyone. Better still wish we could have kept dogster (as it was in the old days)! I keep thinking I should get active with other sites because there are people and pups I miss, but sometimes I struggle to keep up with one site. I'm so slow to read everything and respond. I do miss others though! Out of triple digits?!! Woo-hoo! That is worth celebrating. We've been back into the 80s here. I know that is not terrible, especially compared to your temps, but after some low 70s I sure hated for it to go back up. I am hoping the cooler weather is coming back soon. I have met two people in person that I met through dogster. It sure would be fun to meet more. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Anick, I didn't realize you were on Tanner's!! It's funny how different the sites are. At first, I hated this one, but once you get used to it, it is a very nice site! I'm so glad it is so easy to make more than one profile. Hard to switch when you are on the tablet though. It is so tiny!
Laura, that IS a drive!! But I guess if it is not more than once a month, it is doable. I know a bunch of the Catster people met up in Vegas a couple years ago! Next, they are planning to meet in D.C. With the pandemic, it was been postponed and they are including Dogster people this time. Well, they did last time, too, but it wasn't part of the name! Who are the two that you met?

I visit here and Tanner’s most often because I can get to them on the tablet. to my weird health I amon restricted computer duty for a while so I can’t get to the PC as often as I would like. If I could cry, I would have cried at everyone’s words here! Yes, getting to talk with friends helps get me out of bed most days. We’re all so isolated now that every form of contact is so important. Dee how did things go today? I bet Ward’s picture is beautiful. If I were you, I would be so wrung out emotionally. * * Laura, congratulations on the in-person jam session! It must have felt really good to be out in the fresh air and together. I have become lax about disinfecting doorknobs and such too. I do wash my hands often, but I’m sure some extra cleaning would help. Leslie/Toby

Good morning everyone Happy Thursday Anick sorry you live so far out to visit. Leslie the picture Freddy Girl dad sent me was beautiful. My hands shake more than normal when trying to type if I hit keys too often then have to restart computer as keyboard types garbage. I cry whenever I think of Ward when I visit Rosemarie in the morning I am okay but once I come home and all alone I think of him and just start bawling though he has been in that nursing home over a year and not been here by me. This is final no more seeing him even though he did not know who I was and with his eyesight unable to see me. When he lay in bed Saturday gasping for breath he did mumble someone is here I answered him saying Yes Sweets I your wife Dee is here and our son Devan his wife Lisa and your granddaughter Devan are here for you. Marsha ( Foley, Pocket & River ) wrote a very lovely blog about Ward I saw it this morning and just started bawling but saved it to my computer. My insurance man for my health insurance sent me a 5 x 7 book yesterday Called Gods Word every need. Lisa I am dogster quit it was nice meeting in one place now have 3 different places to go. I am in Tanner Brigade and I do this one and Facebook. I did meet up with a couple people from my Yorkie Group in Gainesville Fl I met up with Janet Herrmann and her dog Lord Pippin then in Ocala Florida a few of us met on the porch of Cracker Barrell I forget their names that is bad of me. Then in Orlando Janet and I went to a big meet up where Little Harley was and met him Laura I understand the 2 hour drive to visit with your ukele friend because I had to drive 2 hours to St. Augustine Florida from Ocala Fl to visit Janet after we first met in Gainesville we would visit her at her house every so often a 2 hour trip but worth it. She just sent me a lovely huge planter in memory of Ward with a lovely note but since I am not into plants I gave it to Jerry but was sweet of her to send it. I visited her before Ward had his stroke and got dementia once he got dementia I didn't drive him too far except when we left Florida to come to Kentucky Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Lisa, I belong to a group on FB about the catsters meeting in DC. I had voted for another city. DC is nice, but sadly too far away for me right now. I have met one family that lives in IN. Their dogs at the time were Tink (a Chihuahua mix) and Vixie Bug (a pom). They were down this way on vacation in the mountains and I got to meet them. The mom's name is Missy. The other family was in FL at first, but now live in Virginia. They had a house full of dogs. I think the one they posted with the most was Sassy (a pom). They were also vacationing in TN and I got to meet them. That mom's name Debbie. I actually knew both of those at a site called Petentials first. Then we all moved to dogster and I met even more people and pups (and cats). At this point we are going to try and play ukuleles twice a month. We'll see. We have to try and squeeze it in before the weather gets cold since we are meeting outside. Leslie, you are so right about every form of contact being important. For years dogster and other such sites have been my therapy sessions. hehe. When I first started going to dogster I had a job where there was a lot of turnover and a stressful and uncertain atmosphere. Then I could come home, hop on dogster and look at the world from Pippi's point of view - which was far more upbeat than my own. Instead of me stressing about the dog getting out the door off leash for example, it was Pippi talking about how wonderful it felt to slip out the door and run on all out and feel the wind blowing your ears. It truly was therapeutic and still is. Dee, I can certainly understand why you are feeling the loss of Ward even though he went to the nursing home over a year ago. As you said, you could still see him. Even if he didn't know you, you knew him. I am so sorry the pandemic robbed you of a lot more time with him this year! Nothing exciting going on here today. Looks like a rainy weekend is in store. Perhaps a good day to join the dogs and grab a quick nap, or curl up with a book. I had a project I was hoping to work on, but waiting on some information from someone else. Don't you hate that when you are ready to go on something and can't. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

I did the same thing! The internet was where I would come and pretend everything was OK. I should try harder and make it that happy place again.
Dee, the more you cry, the better you’ll feel. Just let all of that hurt out. I wonder what interesting things life will have in store for you next?

Laura, I belong to that group, too. I think I voted for New Orleans! I'd love to go to DC, but the price is too prohibitive at this time.
But coming to these sites right now is keeping me sane. You all make me so happy!!
Cool that most of us have met others.

Good morning everyone Happy Sunday Thank you Laur that is the name I could not remember Debbie I met her in Orlando Fl and Ward and Janet went with me to see Sassy and Little Harley she was at a table with a booth to earn money so much money to Little Harley he was a yorkie and of course I paid to him as having Yorkies myself Tiffany then AJ and Little Harley having my dad's name who can resist. Thank you for your kind words about Ward Lisa I am thankful to have these sites to come to as I have no visitors coming to my house and with the Senior Center shutting down to the virus. Without you guys I think they would be admitting me to the nut house Leslie I doubt if there be any interesting things in store for me well I do have the hot air balloon ride the end of the month that is something to look forward to. I need to clean this house up before Ward's niece Donnie comes Wednesday to attend the burial services she has never been to my house. Hugs Dee, Tori & Dallas

Dee, that is neat that we have both met Debbie and Sassy. They have (and had) quite the crew. It was great to see Sassy all the way up to a Bernese Mountain Dog they had and plenty in between. They are a really nice family. I can't wait for your hot air balloon ride. How are the leaves starting to look in your area? We've got some pretty color here on the dogwoods, but the other trees are not turning as much yet. A few here and there starting to, but mostly just the dogwoods. I'm not having as productive a day as I would like. Feel like I am waiting on other people for too many things and have had to put various things on hold while I wait to hear back from others. I kind of hate to move on and get into something else and then have to come back to what I was working on. Sigh. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Oh Laura, I know exactly what you mean! I cleaned my bathroom this morning. It sure needed it! Then I vacuumed in the pantry. Now waiting on Chuck to bring me the carpet cleaner.
Dee, I am so proud of you that you have no fear about your balloon ride! I would love to do that, but I'm scared, too!! Is Devan going with you?

Good morning everyone Happy Monday Laura I know what you mean having to wait for someone before you can finish up. Yesterday after I did my posting I went into the bedroom and took all Wards clothes put them in bags and took them out to the garage don't know if they are accepting clothes during this virus thing. Then I cleaned out my file in my computer room of all papers relating to Ward did not shred them but tore them into pieces filled one large trash bag. then went to Rosemarie to play games and came home after spoke a while on the phone to my niece Christine in VA she is so upset they can't come to the funeral because of this virus when a time family needs to be together. I told her not to worry about it I understand. Her and the family health more important would not want her having a wreck driving here by herself. She has a neurologist appointment on Tuesday before the ceremony keeps forgetting things not sure if medicine or if she is getting Alzheimer's. I pray she is not getting Alzheimer's. Some of the trees are turning color some leaves just coming off trees Lisa yes Devan, Jerry and Lisa are going they will be doing the driving. I am afraid of heights and get motion sickness when on a boat so will take some motion sickness medicine before I go. I can't let fear stop me. I am so looking forward to this Carol hope things are going well in your household Leslie hope you are doing okay. Anick hope that you and your boys are doing well. Marty hope Hershey is doing okay and that you guys are okay Hugs Dee & Toi & Dallas

Oh Carol, I am sorry that so many neighbors had to leave! I am happy they are in a better place, but I’m sure you all miss them.
Dee, if your leaves are like ours, you are going to have a fantastic view for your balloon ride. I am anxious for your trip to arrive, yet I don’t want October to be over yet!
Lisa, don’t wait for guys to do what they say. Just push ahead. Otherwise you’ll die of old age while waiting!😝
Laura, pick a project and work. Let everyone work around your schedule for a change.
Dee, oh dear! I wonder if Christine’s medication has other uses? I would hate to think of her being unwell while still so young.

Good afternoon everyone!
Carol, I am so sorry to hear about so many of your neighbors. I HATE cancer! I lost my dad, my step-dad, and a really good friend to different forms of cancer.
Dee, I am glad that Devan and them will be going, too! It will be fun to be with family. I know it is going to be gorgeous and the event of a lifetime!!
Leslie, you are so right! BUT, the carpet cleaner was in his trailer so I had to wait. He finally did bring it, though, so I got it cleaned.
Speaking of Chuck, we are no longer a couple. I am SO depressed, but I also know that he was not good for me and that we were not right for each other. Like Dee, I need to find ways to keep busy so I don't dwell on it. I hate the thought of being alone for the rest of my life, but I don't have the first clue how to go about meeting anyone.
