Lisa, I really need to vacuum. I don't do that as often as I should because Pippi barks so much and tries to attack it. But the dust bunnies are gaining ground again. So time to pull it out. Dee, I hope your niece will get good news when she sees the neurologist. I sure hope it isn't Alzheimer's. Have you started doing a count down for the balloon ride? I think I would be nervous, but I think I would like to try it some day. Carol, sorry about all the losses near you. I'm like you, I hope that is done for a while. Leslie, gosh I wish I could, but I have been stuck on my projects waiting for information. Finally heard back from one person. So I can at least move forward there. Lisa, I'm sorry to hear about you and Chuck. I think you are smart to realize you were not right for each other and to make changes. I admire you for having the courage to make the changes. I have two friends that met their spouses through online dating. Sheesh, in this day and time - with covid - I really wonder how you get out and meet people. Maybe through various interests. Hope Prince Charming comes along. I decided to go and give all my money to the vet today. hehe. Took Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus for their yearly check ups. Nimbus went first. He had a spot on his chest that I was hoping was matted fur, but I couldn't tell for sure. So I wanted the vet to check it before I tried to cut it out. Happy to say it was just matted fur. Better still they shaved it because they said it was so close to the skin I might nick him if I tried to cut it out with scissors. I am brushing him more now, especially his chest whether he likes it or not. I have not seen the shaved spot yet - he went into hiding as soon as I opened the carrier and let him out at home. He also had a hard spot cut off one toe. The vet said that might come back. I haven't really had a good look at that yet either. Between those things and being poked with needles ... well, I expect he will come out for bed time snacks tonight. His weight is getting up there and if he gains much and Pippi looses a little Nimbus will be the heavyweight here. hehe. He is close to what Pippi weighs. Inky went next. One of the cats, and I'm not totally sure which, vomits sometimes at night. I have seen Inky vomit a time or two, so I have been guessing it is him. The vet thinks it is likely from hair, and more likely to be Nimbus - because Nimbus has long hair and Inky has short. I did tell the vet I have tried different foods and seem to have found one that I am seeing far less vomit. I have also been brushing cats more lately, and the vets suspects that is more likely why it has been better. At this time just keeping an eye on things. The vet said both cats look healthy, sound good, have nice shiny coats and are doing well. Cheeky went last. I have been thinking at times she sounds congested first thing in the morning especially. I have also been thinking at times I think she is working just a wee bit harder to breathe. Not all the time, but from time to time. The good news is the vet said she sounds good considering all she has going on. In fact he said she sounds better than the last time she was in. So I was happy to hear that. I also asked about her weight and belly still looking a little big. He said the steroids are the cause of that. They can make her gain some weight and he still feels her liver may be slightly enlarged. Luckily her belly does not look as big as it did for a while. The only bad thing ... Cheeky does not get vaccinations any more. Back when she did she would get a steroid shot to help her body cope with the vaccinations. It is in her chart that she get pre-meds before the vaccinations. Well, they have a newer girl working there and I didn't think to tell her Cheeky doesn't get the shots now. So when she took Cheeky to the back to do the fecal and heartworm check she went ahead and gave the premed shot. I was worried that might not be good with the steroids she is already on, or with her other medication. Luckily the vet said that wouldn't be a problem. So everyone had good check ups. Yay. Pippi sure was glad when we got home. I don't think she liked having the house to herself. She has been quite the snuggle bug this evening. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good morning everyone Happy Tuesday Lisa I am so very sorry to hear you and chuck are no longer a couple but if you know he is not good for you then it is best to break it off. Did you keep Clarabelle or did he take her. I know how hard this is and you are correct it is hard to meet people more so with this virus. Maybe you can do the computer dating. Save your money go on a singles cruise. I know how hard this is and before the holidays. I am like you don't like the idea of being alone the rest of my life. My prayers going that you can find someone that is more fitting for you. Carol I have lost a lot of family and friends to Cancer. My friend Candy when I worked years ago in Kentucky she died in January 2019 from Cancer and not even 50 then Ward's niece died from cancer, my aunt ethel died from cancer. Other friends it is a terrible disease but at least people have their sanity when they have cancer I pray for cancer people every day on my facebook page. They say it comes in 3's. Leslie that is one of the things I am trying to focus on while I am going through these tough times with Ward dying the thought of going up in the air and seeing all those beautiful trees in bloom. Seeing God's artwork at its best. Laura understand about giving all your money to the vet but glad to hear Cheeky has improved since the last time. Dallas goes on Thursday for teeth cleaning and for sure 2 molars pulled may be more when he gets in there so you know how much that will be but I am thankful my sister is paying for that as I have to get Tori dog food but will get that another day so just Dallas stuff will be on the bill my sister pays for. Tomorrow I bury Ward at 10 am so please pray for me it has been very rough for me this week. Though I am glad he is no longer suffering and with God I can't help the tears that just keep flowing in fact I finished my feather stitch pocket shawl for my girlfriend Mare last night through all the tears. I did not take a picture it is exactly like one I posted before the light blue with dark blue trim. Today going with Di and Rosemarie to take Rosemarie to get her mammogram afterwards we are going out to eat. Tonight I will start on the pocket Shawl that Rosemarie wants me to make for Alice the lady at our senior center who is 104 and Rosemarie gave me all the yarn to do it.

Good afternoon everyone! for all your kind words. Chuck is staying for now. He has a trailer in the yard that he lives in. I'm so afraid he will take Clarabelle, so I am not pushing it. Until this pandemic improves, can't really do anything social anyway. Laura, I feel for you about the vet! They are expensive, but it needs to be done. I just took Ranger in for a dental a couple weeks ago, and luckiily, the bill was on the lower estimate side of things. Only $700 instead of $1100! Dee, I know exactly how you feel. It is good to have things to look forward to and your balloon ride sounds like a great one! Will all four of you go up? Tagging whispersmomma!

Yes, having happy goals helps a lot when you have to go through bad times. Dee needs another goal after the balloon ride...maybe going out for ice cream somewhere. Or hot chocolate.
Lisa, I am sooo sorry!! That was a very difficult decision you made. You are a strong, insightful woman. Maybe the secret is not to look for someone. God will bring all the friends and support into your life that you need. Look how much love you get here! 🤗
Laura, after today, did your vet move into a bigger mansion? Bet he could! Really, though, it sounds like you couldn’t have gotten better news about all of your furs. It was a good day 😊
Maybe we need more sharks around. They are supposed to hold the key to curing cancer.

Dee, for tomorrow. I know this has been rough. I sure wish I could give you a real and not just a virtual one. Know that I will be thinking of you tomorrow and will be there in spirit for you. Lisa, I hate to tell you but I was able to have yearly check ups for two cats, a check up for Cheeky (minus vaccinations) and Bravecto doses for all four of my crew cheaper than Ranger's dental. But you are right. It does all add up quickly. My vet is good and does little things to help keep costs down for me and will let me pay over time if needed. Things like that help. Pippi and I got out on a walk today. We made it just a little over a mile and she was slowing down and I think ready to be done just before we got done. I can't help but think of the longer hikes we used to go on. I don't know whether to think this is all age creeping up on her, or just needing to get back in shape after being more inactive this year. Probably a bit of both. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Oops. Looks like I had this page open too long and Leslie sneaked in and posted. hehe. I have to laugh on your vet comment. Years ago when Cheeky was having a LOT of digestive problems and we were at the vet it seemed like every week for months I made the comment to the vet that I thought Cheeky at least deserved her name on a parking space. He laughed and said no, we are adding a new wing to the building and naming it after her. hehe. I fuss about the costs sometimes because money is tight, but compared to what I hear a lot of others saying they are paying for things I really think I have it pretty good. And I do know the vet is mindful of the money being tight and he tries to help here and there. So it could be a lot worse.

Good morning everyone Have a great Wednesday for Laila mom I know the agony she is going through losing poor Laila. Lisa yes all of them are going up on the balloon ride unless of course Jerry's mom dies then that may stop them I pray Lisa that Chuck doesn't take Clarabelle with him when he does leave. I hope he leaves her for you Laura it is nice when your vet does things to make things lower in cost to help you out. I know they have to survive and pay for their rent, electric, staff and other things but it works out a lot better when you have a vet who is really concerned about the animals welfare first. Thank you all for your prayers and support. This is what is bad about this virus I would have someone here to me if it were not for the virus. My niece Christine and the girls wanted to come to support me but with the virus they could not. Jerry has Lisa by his side for comfort in his loss and I sit here alone. The night is the hardest in the daytime I spend my time at Rosemarie playing games but at night with watching comedies and trying to crochet still the tears just flow I know I should be happy he is no longer suffering and is with God but tell my heart that it is torn in two I could not sleep last night tears just flowing and still flowing. Thank you all for your support on line if I did not have it I think I would lose it

Dee. I wish your niece could have made it for the funeral to be there with you. I also wish you had more family living close by. I'm glad you have the crocheting and the pups. What other hobbies or interests do you have? Do you like jigsaw puzzles? That is something that can take my mind off things. I get so engrossed in the puzzle that I can forget the rest of the world for a little bit. It is nice to have a vet that thinks about the pets first and not the money. It used to be a father/son team, plus some other vets. Love the father and ask for him all the time. Dreaded getting the son. He was about the money. I was not sorry when he moved out of the state. I guess it helps that I have been going to that vet for years now. So he knows me and knows that I am good for the money. Off to a chilly start here this morning, but I kind of like that. hehe. I am hoping to find some time for a little sewing today. - Laura (Pippi, Cheeky, Inky and Nimbus)

Good afternoon everyone!! Dee, I am thinking of you today and for a meaningful, beautiful and comforting service. Of course you are happy for Ward, now that he is whole and reunited with his memories! BUT, he has left a big hole in your life and you will forever grieve. May your happy memories of the man Ward was soon fill that hole and push out the grief. Laura, that is wonderful that you have a vet that will let you pay when you can! There are a few around here, but they tend to be much more expensive. I have a feeling that if I begged my vet, they might let me do that too, since I am a loyal, longtime customer. But maybe not! Hee hee! Leslie, thank you for saying I am a strong woman. I cry very easily and I know I will miss him (even though he isn't going anywhere yet) but just the hugs and kisses and companionship. I know I will be better off in the long run. Willy, that is great!! Wish we had a vet friend, just for those times we have a simple question!! Carol, we hope you are having a good day!! Lorrie ( whispersmomma) I am going to make Whisper your avatar until I can get some pictures from you! Thank you all for the support and friendship!! Lisa and the Wild Ones

Evening, Ladies~! I wanted to stop by here and say hello! And..to read a little bit of what was going on with you all. I wanted to express my deepest sympathies for Dee. What you are going through right now. heart I am a lot like Lisa, I do cry easily and lately more so. But, I try not to in front of Stephen. He has his own dealings. I think we all think alike, Leslie, as far as this pandemic and the lack of in person hugs, or conversations. I was like a lot of you, and still am. I come here for the escape. It's , but sometimes I just feel so useless. Laura, I love to hear you talk about your sweet Vet. And I know Pippi hates it! hehe but it's good when they give you some slack. Am so glad that Nimbus got his neck taken care of. Good that the vet trimmed it. Anick, oh so lucky your Vet is a friend! Good advice right at your fingertips! Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about you and Chuck. Yes, it will be difficult to find someone, but maybe right now, it's not what you need? I know when I separated from my X back in '07 it was difficult, but it became so unbearable to live with him. Abusive. It was a good decision to get my own apartment at the time. I joined Catster in 2010, and it was mainly cats in the beginning who played with Smokey Joe, Mallee 'n Milo. It was such a happy place. And we laughed and cried together. And we were one. All because our strong loves for dogs and cats. I feel that way here. I only come here. It's too difficult for me to navigate sites like P4P. It's like FB. I do sometimes go to FB and read up on what friends are doing, but then it starts to make me . Friends against friends. Most times I cry a bit. I think we should all be kind, be kind and remember, we all bleed red, and we are all one under God. Catster/Dogster brought the good out in folks. And, I even loved the fact we talked through our animals. That was the most enjoyable part. Like here, and in the Malt Shoppe thread. When I type here, sometimes I end up typing like Milo tawkz. hehe. I seem to do that better than I human write. This morning I scared myself. I was washing my face and somehow, my right eye got flipped up and I couldn't see out of it. I panicked. And I've been shaky all day. I did get laundry done, but it's still in the dryer! HAHA Love ya'll, Kathy, Milo, A Mallee 'n A Smokey Joe

Oh no! An eye scare! You have my sympathy there. I am having so many issues that I am afraid it is going to interfere with my life and ability to work. I am hoping that a lot of symptoms ease up once the Bell's Palsy passes. Is it easy to straighten out an eye that has flipped, or is it uncomfortable? Before the BP struck, my one eyelid used to flip inside out. Boy, that is a weird feeling.
Lisa, have you considered getting a kitty to help fill the space left by Boyfriend? Sometimes they like snuggling. You remind me a lot of a friend who is in a similar situation. She would like a companion or a buddy...someone to do things with... but it is really hard to meet people, esp with things the way they are at the moment. I wish both of you could meet up with old friends or something.
Dee, I hope you are hanging in there. I know in your situation I would have the TV on all the time for company and I would be on the computer haunting all the social sites looking for some sort of connection. (How did people cope before electronics?) I hope that you keep having company come over and activities with friends and maybe even a puzzle like Laura suggested. Anything to fill your time while your spirit heals.

Good morning everyone Happy Thursday Kathy that is a scary situation Eye flipping does that happen a lot. Thank you for your hugs Laura I am not much into puzzles I just watch tv and crochet keep busy at Rosemarie during the day it is the nights the worse Lisa I hope you can find someone who will do things with you and of course loves animals and treats you like a queen Leslie sorry you are having problems with your eyes. I do leave the tv on all the time till I go to bed. Ward's niece Donna who we met last Sunday for lunch came to the services for Ward she is Ward's sister Mandy's daughter. She came from Lexington my family only a little over an hour no one came and no one called. Only my nephew Donnie and Christine contacted me and sent flowers the rest did not even send me a sympathy card. Donnie is going to make me a shadow box for the flag I got for Ward. I did ask the funeral director if I could see them put in the niche she said sure and got a hold of the man who put in Ward first then put in Sabrina and Abigale June and Tiffany then sealed it up. A peace went over me I told the girls to watch over daddy till I can join them and it was such a relief to know he was not alone in the everlasting. We then went out for breakfast at Cracker Barrell I paid as it was Jerry's birthday we sat there till we left then stopped at Lisa and Jerry's house so Donna could see all the changes they have done on the house since Donna came there for their wedding. After we left there dropped Devan off at home then came to my house I showed Donna my house she has never been here before then all of us sat on the back deck till 3 pm watching Tori and Dallas running in the yard and just talking it is the longer Jerry and Lisa have been at my house. It was great having someone to sit and talk with. Donna made each of us a fudge brownie pie. Here is the link to the burial www.icloud.com/photos/#0uOR-5pTnBgnWQkWHhk6UkjVw

This isolation thing is hard on everyone and what makes it worst is to see so many people who just don't care and are not careful.
With winter just around the corner I do have a lot to keep me busy right now but I dread another winter like the end of the last one.
It is great to have a friend who is a vet but it also makes it kind of hard for her to do the exams because me boys keep on wanting to play with her or they are searching around for her dog to play.
I don't spend much time on Fb anymore, to many people acting like savages in there for my liking.
