Deb, I hope you have had good luck finding some tutoring jobs or something to help out a little. I hope you can get to a more comfortable position financially.
Anick, I like jackets a little big so I can have layers, too.
Dee, I hate to hear the bus price has gone up. Did they say why? I also hope people will respond to the survey so you can have a better idea on numbers.
The Christmas lights sounded like fun. I always enjoy seeing them. Was this one of those they have set to music? No lights at my house, but I did get some decorations up outside yesterday. My mom came over and helped. I was glad as I didn't want her to spend the day alone. Plus the extra set of hands was nice.
Diane, I sure hope they can catch whoever has been breaking into the post offices. People can be so rotten.
Yay for good days for Buddy! I hope that keeps up. Is he enjoying the snow more than you and your husband?
Carol, have you started on Christmas decorations yet? I usually wait until after Thanksgiving, but weather and timing just worked out to do it before this year.
Leslie, have you been working on any projects lately?
Anick, that is interesting about the postal laws. I will be curious to see how that turns out. The guy that had your package and wouldn't give it to you really was just a jerk. Makes it hard to have sympathy for them when they do things like that.
Sorry for no activities for Willy. Can he get rid of enough energy in your yard? Or maybe working on tricks in the house? Pippi always loved working on tricks.
Carol, yay for your snow! I hope you will get some good pictures of the girls playing in it. Pippi liked to stick her nose in the snow and toss some up in the air. She always liked to try and catch snow balls.
Diane, ugh on the shoveling. I like snow, but not shoveling. Last year we had snow that stuck around for a week. We don't get that often here. I had taken the time to shovel my driveway and sidewalk and then the city came by with a plow and knocked a HUGE chuck of piled up snow/ice (most ice) right in front of my driveway and left it. I couldn't budge it and had to go on the neighbor's driveway to get out. So much for shoveling. I ended up having to take a sledge hammer and knock parts off to finally clear it. I hope yours is a lot easier to clear!
Leslie, are you expecting snow? And if so, very much?
Deb, I wouldn't miss the flyers in my mail. I wish there was a way to opt out of those.
Anick, the snow doesn't sound bad, but the ice does. Hope it is mostly snow and almost no ice. That can be a real mess. And I hope you don't lose power.
Dee, yum on the chocolates while seeing the lights. Bonus!
Pippi still isn't really using her back legs to help any to stand. In fact I think she is using the "good leg" less and less. I need to follow up with the vet, but things have been crazy. I may put it off until after Thanksgiving because I really don't think there is much they can/will do. Her appetite has not been great at times again either. Don't know if that is the meds bothering her or maybe the scrambled egg I have given her a few times. Sunday night she wouldn't eat at all. Sometimes I can coax her to eat a little, but not that night. And she was so still and quiet I didn't sleep well. (The one night she lets me sleep and wouldn't you know I'm too worried about her to take advantage of it. Argh!) I wasn't sure she would make it through the night, but she's still hanging in there. Thankfully has eaten at least some each meal since then, too, but in general I would stay her appetite is still off some.
I spent a good part of the day with mom yesterday. It was the one year anniversary of dad's passing. It seems hard to believe it could have already been a year! I think I had struggled some in the month leading up that anniversary, but did fine yesterday. Mom had been apprehensive about it, but she did okay, too. Part of the day we spent at my house getting up some Christmas decorations outside. I don't do much, but hang a lot of ornaments in my trees. These are not evergreen trees, but maples and red buds and such. Still have a lot of leaves. So it is hard to see many of my ornaments, but when more leaves fall off it usually adds a nice pop of color to the yard here and there.
Lisa, I saw in FB where you have family in town. I am very glad you have them there and hope you all have a wonderful visit and Thanksgiving.
My happy things for today ...
* My outside Christmas decorations are done.
* Today should be nice enough to get a little sanding done on some furniture.
* I've got leftovers for dinner. So all I have to do is heat them up and my dinner will be quick and easy.
